I'm so excited for Frozen - the cast, the story, the designs! I've read every spoiler I can get my hands on and I just love everything so I am going to be desperately trying to get my hands on Elsa. I have to limit myself with what I buy so I can only get one!!

Nope, you're not alone at all with this! I honestly thought I was the only one sooo not in on the hype for this movie. I'm really looking forward to seeing it but for now, the characters mean nothing to me. It took me forever to decide to get my Merida LE doll, and I loved that movie. But I don't know if I'm going to buy dolls before I've even seen the movie, which I think is released here on Boxing Day (day after Christmas - sorry I'm not sure if this is a universal 'celebrated' day). I guess it'll come down to how pretty they are on the day, but right now I'm with you- I don't love them already :)
 
Congratulations to everyone getting their LE Prince Eric dolls! :) Two more days before I get my LE Prince Eric (assuming UPS behaves). My LE Ursula is slated for Thursday and my DFDC Belle and the Beast on Friday! It's going to be a doll bonanza this week!

I'm also still on the fence about pursuing LE Anna and/or LE Elsa. It's so hard to commit to a character before you have seen the film. As it is, I do plan on getting the first wave of Frozen dolls, because we all know that for 12" play dolls, these are going to be the most detailed versions of them.

That will be interesting if they were to do a LE Anna of 6,000 as that does sound closer to the LE Merida and LE Wedding Rapunzel sizes and for some bizarre reason appears to be the edition size of the year with the DFTC dolls all being 6,000 and Ariel being 6,000 as well. But who knows at this point if it were to be that large then I would not see if selling out that fast. In fact I think it would stay on the site for a month or two as people warm up to the character.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out. I did hear that both Anna and Elsa have display dolls and historically speaking display dolls were only provided to Disney Stores if they had preorders. As this allowed people to see the doll and decide if they wanted to preorder them. As a result both dolls may be up for preorder however this is all based on speculation and nothing is confirmed yet.

Haha I like how your sources are telling you that the other one is wrong. But yeah I am confident in what I have been told about the LE being 2500 each but you never know with Disney! I am just getting so excited for these dolls and I havent even received my Eric and Ursula yet, so hopefully they will get me going whilst waiting for the Frozen ones to come around.

I am expecting to get Ursula in tomorrow then will have them all sent to me hopefully tomorrow so I am hoping to get them all before the weekend! But at the very latest Monday. Then next week I should be expecting my Designer Fairytale set to come through! So excited! Will have an influx of dolls coming in over the next two weeks before quieting down again!!
 
The first doll released is generally the larger edition size, if Anna is going to be 2500, It is very unlikely that Elsa which will be released second will have a higher number.

Um, I hope I won't be pounced on for saying this, but I'm actually not very happy with the way disney chose to adapt the snow queen, though I'm reserving judgement for final product. Outside this board, reaction to the trailers has been very mixed. I think if you are proactive there shouldn't be a problem getting Anna and Elsa LE dolls. There's doll fatigue this year too, I would guess if you are a causal collector, you may skip the Frozen dolls over the more traditional/classic princesses.
 
Sounds like Disney wants to cause a even bigger frenzy with their Frozen LE dolls. While I'm excited about the products, I do hope the movie isn't a dud or live up completely to the dubbed name "Tangled on Ice". But I'll only buy if the dolls look good. While Belle is my favorite Disney Princess, I'm not too fond of her 17" doll.

I think it was just dubbed that due to the similarities in look of Tangled and Frozen, almost like they could be in the same "world" per say. Also the fact that it is another Disney Animated Studios movie featuring princesses just like Tangled and that it is also another 3D movie released by the studio.

I dont believe it has anything to do with the story line at all.

LOL no I wish! I am all the way in Australia so I am far from ever being a Disney employee, I just love Disney so do a lot of research and try to keep myself up to date...I think it's because I am also an accountant which is why I can be a bit pedantic and meticulous at times haha

I'm taking Managerial Accounting, and my professor found out that a bunch of students complained to the dean about him.. So naturally, he snapped at my class today and vowed to make our class harder from now on...

Haha that is hilarious, you sure gotta love accountants, they are sort of the people you love to hate haha.

I used my coupon the other day, just bought some more journals, the Frozen Kristoff doll, the large plush of Olaf and some ear hat ornaments. The total of my order was around $90+ so then I applied the coupon to bring it down to $76 so the free shipping still applied. But obviously because it is $76 plus tax the order total came to about $82-3. I find that if you want to maximise your voucher then you should try to spend at least $95 so that way with the discount you will still get free shipping. If you order anything more than $95 then it is just a waste because your voucher max is only $20 and if you order anything less than $95 you will have to pay shipping of $12.95 thus negating the $20 savings.

Anything more than $95 you should use a discount coupon that uses percentages e.g 10% off purchases over $75 etc. I think if you are a D23 member they have a discount code they can use that will give them 10% off. Same thing as well with the Disney Visa, wish I could get a Disney Visa, but unfortunately, because I am not in the US I cannot apply for one, which really sucks coz I could save soooo much money if I did!
 
Heh... so I found my Disney cd this arvo and have probably deafened the neighbours with all my favourite songs lol. Oh well they have kids, maybe they'll like it?
