2013 Fairytale Designer Collection
I don't know if this question has been asked yet..what is a good time to go to the Disney store for the dolls? I really want to see if I have a chance at getting Ariel/Erick at the store. :)

This thread has all the info you need to know about the Designer Doll releases.

But Disneykid is right, depending on your store the raffle could be drawn at a different time to 12pm so it would be best to go into your disney store in the morning, register your details to be entered into the raffle and ensure that you are back there at the time they tell you they are going to be drawing the raffle. Good luck!

My BATB set just arrived and I'm very happy with them although does anyone feel they looked slightly squished in the box? I was saying to my hubby before the first set came out, I wonder what they will do about cases, surely they won't use the same ones from 2011. I mean some of the dolls from 2011 barely just filled in due to the skirt of their dresses.

A little OT but it's crazy how many people have joined this forum since the first dollmagedon!

I really like the cases so I'm glad they kept them the same. But I do think two dolls in one case is a tight fit, but it for the most part works. I'm even starting to get used to the slimmer gown design for Belle. I definitely love how her bustled peplum is not all the way down the gown.

I joined right before Dollmagedon I think. I had no idea this site had a doll section. Prior to that I was an active part of a livejournal Disney princess community which is still posting about these dolls, but this site has way better information and is more active. :)

Thanks to joining here I now have a small pin collection too! I'm both trying to and trying not to get into seriously collecting pins.

I am glad they are the same size as it's easier to display them along with the 2011 set.

Everyone on here that starts out with a small
pin collection ends up addicted!

I'm on the way. I'm debating how serious I want to collect pins. I really want the designer pins. All of them, but I don't have that kind of money! So I'm just getting the new ones I like.

Pending Transaction for my Fairytale Designer Set :anxious::drool:

Woohoo mine is pending too!! I can't wait to get them, it feels like it's taken forever lol

Did you guys order your sets online? Or at the expo? Because I ordered mine at the expo so I am sure they charged me way back then as the charge went through my card and it was not a hold on my account. Also when I try checking the status it cannot seem to find the details. So I am assuming this just because it was done at the expo instead of online? Anyone else in this situation, that can shed a bit more light on this? Just want to determine if I need to contact Disney store to follow up my purchase or not.

My sisters charge is pending too, she ordered online. I hope they deliver them sooner than next Tuesday for all of those who ordered, the wait has been long enough. Lots of dolls being delivered in the next 2 weeks :)

I did the preorder online...the pending had dropped off until this morning, the charge showed back up so I'm assuming they will be shipping this week...if it's like Ariel I'm thinking by Thursday we should have tracking numbers

I was thinking the same thing with possible arrival between Monday & Tuesday of next week :)

I agree that even though the DFDC dolls can look cramped in there (especially with the way Snow White/The Prince, Rapunzel/Flynn Rider, and Belle/The Beast were posed), I am glad that the cases are the same size as the previous Designer dolls, because you can mix and match them for display. :) Re: the pins... I got sucked in back in 2010 and boy does my wallet regret that! It always starts out with only a casual interest and then before you know it, you're dropping crazy $$$$ on pins!

Yes, I think Expo pre-order payments were processed at the time of the Expo and probably will not show up in relation to the DS.com online accounts. I would call the DS customer service directly to get a status update on your order. :)

Thanks Shiva, I contacted the Disney store and they said that I was right in that the orders have already been processes and the cards charged so there is no need to worry about having the funds available in the card (as that is quite a lot). She also told me that the orders are currently being prepped for shipping and should be going out shortly, so as mentioned by sappy nanny and LittleMermaidAriel they should be mailed out by the end of this week, if not early next week. So excited!!

Awesome! =) The sooner the better! Like everyone else I did notice that there was a pending charge for the whole amount on my credit card last night for the doll set pre-order. Even though I have bought a couple of extra dolls from the DFDC series so far, I really can't wait to see the whole collection all together, especially the non-D23 Snow White & Prince. I think this time, my doll set pre-order will be the dolls that I debox completely. The biggest down-side to the pre-order is having to wait until the series is practically over before you get your dolls.

I didn't buy any backups so I am very nervous and hoping that my dolls come in perfect if not close to perfect condition. One plus side to the preorder collection is the fact that all your dolls will be numbered the same which is pretty cool. I am sorta hoping for a low number as I would have assumed that they put these dolls aside from the beginning but at the end of the day I will just be happy if my dolls came in damage free.

I'm not a pin collector just dolls but I honestly can't believe how much some pins sell for its crazy! You have some good shares in Disney Collectibles haha!

I agree about back up boxes too as to me I am not a de boxer so having boxes in tact is important.

I know! After seeing some of the really bad quality issues with some of the dolls early on, I am very nervous about how the doll set pre-orders are going to be. I am praying for no damaged cases or smeared paint or janky problems with the outfits. I also hope that they are the same CoA numbers and that they are the earlier numbers, but people have reported getting individual dolls with very low CoA numbers (I think I saw a #0050 mentioned somewhere), so who knows what we will get?

You are very wise to not get into pin collecting! I am "lucky" that a good number of the pins I have that have become more valuable (mostly from Tangled) were bought long before those pins became so sickeningly popular on the secondary markets. I am trying so hard to keep my upper limit of a single pin purchase to no more than $100 and only in the rarest of circumstances. Obviously, my hopes for completing the 2011 Designer Princess pins or getting any of the DFDC pins is slim to none with my self-imposed limits!
