Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
My order went in at 12:04 and still no blast off email and the site says my status is active.......I hope I get my email tomorrow....... I phoned Wednesday afternoon and the lady said my order looked fine on her end.

I'm really confused! I bought both Elsa and Anna online in one single order. Today I received my Blast Off email. But the weird thing is that I received 2 Blast Off emails. One has my order on both Anna and Elsa and the other one has only Elsa. Does this means I will be getting 2 Elsa dolls? lol that would be funny, but I think it was a mistake.

LOL Disney does this all the time, could mean one of two things, if you find both tracking numbers activate it will mean that the first tracking number (which has both dolls listed) will just be for Anna and the second tracking number will just be for Elsa. Or if only one tracking number works then that will mean that they boxed them together but put a separate tracking number on the Elsa therefore that number wont ever get scanned as it is packed away inside another box. This happened with the Designer Dolls and the designer gift bags.

I think it is because of Disney doing silly things like this that we get situations where dolls are lost or go to the wrong address.

By the sounds of it though, Anna was sent first and Elsa is just sitting in the warehouse now getting ready to be shipped (or they have just printed the labels for Elsa and that is it). I hate how Disney says it is shipped after printing a label as that is technically not right, they should tell you it has shipped after the tracking has activated because technically printing a label does not count as the item being shipped as it is not in transit.

Mine looked a little weird at first. I had been sent 1 tracking number for all 3 of my items and then when I entered it it wasn't working. Now it links to the 3 separate tracking numbers and the blastoff's list the different numbers. Kinda quirky, as I've never had it do this from Disney Store before but... just happy they are on their way. Mine have weights listed with them. The dolls are listed at 5 pounds. Perhaps that can help you to your answer?

I got my two email blasts today too!! Anna and Elsa are on their way to their very much impatient owner :) I just hope hope hope that they are in good condition when they arrive. Since it's been raining the boxes might get a little wet :(

I tried going to the store on Wed morning when I thought that I might not have been able to get the girls to see what my chances were. But after LA traffic got the best of me, I arrived to find there were at least 12 people waiting for four sets at least an hour before the store opening. I had no chance. When I saw my emails this morning, it made me feel better :wiggle:

Picked up my Anna and Elsa yesterday. They're so beautiful. Anna is number 0626...found it funny, reminds me of Stitch. Thought I'd share my display with them and other Frozen merch. These are my first LE 17" dolls. So proud of them.

AWWWE YAAAAY! It looks so completed now! I'm glad that you got the dolls! & everybody else who got theirs. Also still hoping for the people to get their "blast off emails" as well too! I'm so glad the doll season has ended. My gosh. Being this is my first year of getting limited eduction dolls .. It's exhilarating! & makes a huge dent in my wallet. But it was totally worth it. Especially getting all 3 of the LE Little Mermaid dolls & getting the designer fairytale Aladdin/Jasmine & Ariel/Eric dolls. This makes me glad I'll be waiting another year for Disney to make me the best limited edition dolls of Aladdin! (hopefully).

Gorgeous! Thank you for the pictures.

here are some pictures of my Anna, I think i prefer Elsa, but maybe it's because of her new increased price here in europe. The magic is wasted.

we had our own nightmare for the trozen dolls too. I was at the champs elysées, they got 50 set of dolls. Yes so much... But the price increase from the other LE by 30% , so instead of 70 euros like they previously announced, they asked for it 90 euros.

Many people couldn't afford the two of them , because they have their budget that had been planned for 140 euros and not for 180. So some people only got elsa , or anna. Some cries, because they were with the 140 euros in cash, it's was a nightmare !!! other people told the cm , they can keep their doll at that price for the next time,if it still that high price . We were mad, because on 11th november , i paid elsa 70 euros , as the usual price for this dolls.

The atmosphere was heavy and angry. sad, the others customers not here for the dolls , i think they were stunned too because we entered in dead silence, like we were at a funeral, nobody talked. i've never seen that , either.. I have a disney store fidelity card , with already a 10 euros coupon full. So it was 80 euros for me, but my other fidelity card was almost done , so i complained and said with that purchase, the card will be full , so added NOW the others 10 euros. They accepted because They felt so bad too, and they did ir for all customers i think . So i paid 70 euros

then severals customers, including me, marched and went to the disney store france head building ! yes we did, we are french... You don't like us angry, and we entered it and force the person to listen to us. So she accepted we could right a group letter, we did there and she copied our casher tickets and promise something for us.

It was awful, the dolls are not sold out in webstore yet, because people are mad, and some are not going to buy and complain and write a letter, they are now trying to organise a petition for example.

Here are my pictures anyway.

Just saw my order was 'closed!' now I can breathe happy :) ..now, for the email blast..haha! now..it's off to spend the rest of my money on the xbox one! woot woot haha!

Haha my husbands xbox one is being delivered today and you'd swear it was Christmas morning, he is soooo excited!

I'm going to create a new thread about this but thought I'd mention it here. For any UK customers I have an app on my phone for voucher cloud and their is an offer of 20% off on a £50 spend. You cannot use it against certain items, blu rays and limited edition stuff but I'm going to get the Frozen Animator Dolls on Sunday and treat myself to a freebie for £10. I've seen a nice Belle mug that I pick up every time I go in there so I might get this.

I feel so bad for the collectors and buyers in Europe! I can't believe they jumped prices all over! Just plain unreasonable!

My hubby is setting his first xbox one ( he got two, thinking I'd want one but I'm not into games... I'd rather have dolls) he's like a 6 year old kid right now

I have to say that I completely agree with and support the price increase. With the way the scalpers and sharks behave It makes perfect sense for the Disney company to make the dolls a higher price. Scalpers make me sick. It saddens and angers me when I see and hear these people take advantage of true collectors and Disney lovers all over profit. I hope the increase will deter people in it only for profit. By this point the Disney company must be aware of all the reselling, naturally they want in, and as well they should. Id rather pay Disney 400.00 for a doll than to pay that to some greedy individual.

I don't mind the concept of a price increase, however I do think it was very....rude of them to raise the price with no warning. And the lack of consistency doesn't make any sense. If there is to a price increase, it should be universal and with announcement.

I have heard a few people making this argument but I just dont understand it. If disney increases prices, even by only $30 per doll, how is that going to deter scalpers in the slightest? I think raising the base price of the doll will only increase the asking amount on the secondary market. Scalpers are probably like "well I bought this for $100, so Im going to sell it for $200!" and with the price increase it will only be "well it was $130, so Ill sell it for $300!". Plus, I see no need to pay disney any extra because they were making a profit just fine on all of the other releases. Sure if the dolls are getting more elaborate ( and more expensive to make) then the price will be justified but I feel that is not the case. Besides, when we can get the doll for a decent price by being available during the original release how does that make it better to "pay disney more instead of giving it to a scalper"? resorting to sclapers is only something we do in those situations where we missed our opportunity to get the dolls at a fair price. So instead of thinking about just getting the doll for retail, i feel like people are in the mentality of "do I give my doll money to a greedy company, or a greedy scalper?" to which I answer neither. If I feel like Disney is starting to just be greedy and ask for more money because they see what the dolls go for second hand then I will just keep my money and customize my own.
Im still trying to reserve judgement on disney until we find out what happened with this release, since it sounds like it might have been a last minute error that everyone ran with. I do fully support our european friends in thier push back against the company and will sign petitions or whatever I can to help!
Overall a slight price increase is fine with me, the main problem I have with this whole debacle is the way it happened. If everyone had been aware of the prices I would have thought it was fine, but hearing about young collectors saving and going to the store with 120 pounds only to find out it was more is just heartbreaking.

I hope the price doesn't increase. I don't think that would deter scalpers. The fairytale couples were more and scalpers still are selling them on ebay. But it would deter me. $99 is pretty much my upper limit for dolls. It would have be pretty darn spectacular for me to pay more. Like Snow and Alice level.

I agree, I think it would hurt the market of die hard disney fans more than anyone. A prime example of this was the LE Harrods sets... they sold for like ~$800 USD and we still had scalpers buying them to sell for profit. The only way I can see to reduce scalpers is simply to not buy from them, but that would mean some of us would have to lose out on sets we really love. It would also have to be a huge unanimous effort, because if someone is paying those prices it will only continue

Very well said and I agree completely.

Dollover - You've actually just raised a good point too, I've never seen the LE Snow White or Alice but from the pictures they look absolutely stunning and well worth the money. I'd be interested to hear from those who already have these dolls and have bought the new Frozen ones how they compare detail wise. For me out of all the 17" dolls these two originals really stand out from the crowd and I've always felt that Disney really compromised on the finer details following these two. I've said this plenty of times, I'm a huge Belle fan but for me her 17" doll is such a disappointment she just doesn't have that wow factor for me along with a lot of the others. I know I probably sound really critical but like I said it's just the Snow & Alice dolls were such beauties we are obviously always going to compare them to other dolls.

If you take into account the shipping cost from the US it will actually cost more for people in the UK to still buy from the US. Usually international shipping from Disney Store US is about $60USD so that would be about USD$167 in total (not sure about customs in the UK and the costs) but that works out to be about 105 pounds with the current exchange rate? which is about 15 pounds more than if you were to buy it from the DS UK store directly at the new price of 80pounds per doll. Also you would get free shipping in the UK as well so would just be paying 80 pounds plus taxes. But yeah if you have friends in the US then it would definitely be cheaper to buy it in the US over the UK if you were just paying for the doll itself.

I do expect there to be a price increase but I do hope it wont be by too much especially since they arent changing much with the dolls, yes we have inflation but even with that that wouldn't justify a $20-30 increase. If they were to increase the price I would expect they improve on the quality of the dolls or do a little something extra to justify the increase but like some of you have said they can just increase the price of the dolls and we would still buy it. It was made evident by the Harrods set and I still believe that that is why they did the last minute increase in the UK.

Also anyone else's tracking details update to the green in transit mode yet? or even the label is created mode? Because when I try checking mine it is still telling me the tracking details still don't exist.
I'm not stating that international buyers purchase from u.s site. I know all too well purchasing from the u.s and shipping costs. Im quite lucky I have a uk and u.s address. Not everyone is that fortunate. I'm saying that the way it was done was a fiasco and if there is a increase there should be a general increase all round. But at the moment take everything away from the equation ,shipping etc the u.s price does equal the Europe equivilant where as £60 = $97-99 but now £80=$129

I own Snow, Alice, Merida, Elsa, Anna, and Cinderella, and Snow and Alice are by far the most beautiful in person. Snow's outfit isn't necessarily more detailed or complicated than the other LE dolls, but it is rich and luxurious looking. For her it's her face that stands out. Alice seems to share a mold with Snow, which I usually don't like, but in her case it is different enough and exquisite enough that I love her almost as much. And she has amazing thick flowing golden hair with tinsel in it. Her outfit is definitely the most elaborate and detailed of all them. I do think those two look more expensive than the others I own. And they are the only 2 who are more beautiful than their animated counterparts. Well, I guess Merida is prettier than her animated counterpart too, but since Merida is not really traditionally pretty her doll isn't traditionally pretty either. Plus she doesn't have eyelashes which fits with her character but it's also a 'missing' detail. Anna and Elsa have fantastic accurate faces but they don't come with accessories and their outfits are simpler.

I'm a huge Belle fan too and was horrified when her LE doll pics leaked. I was actually hoping it was a fake pic. With the LE dolls, I feel like the pinnacle was the first doll, Snow. Alice is a close second. The rest, either their faces are inferior or their outfits are. I suppose it's good in a way. If they were all as awesome as Snow or Alice I'd be a lot poorer.

The way I see it Alice and Snow have a classic look about them, one that makes them timeless and I think that comes down to the way the dolls look and their garments. If you notice Alice and Snow do have similar features, they both have softer facial features compared to many of the other dolls. They actually do like collector's items and expensive too which is probably why people are willing to pay more for them.

Whereas if you compare them to Ariel, Belle, Cinderella and even Anna and Elsa you will notice that these dolls have bigger eyes and more of a cartoonish feature about them hence I see them as more modern dolls, and in some cases they do look more like giant toys in nice clothes rather than a collector's item. For example with Cinderella she really does look like Barbie dressed as Cinderella because her facial features are very "barbie" like and well her clothes whilst pretty dont look as expensive or detailed as Snow's did. So whilst she is an amazing doll, in terms of value people just dont value her as much because at the end of the day she just doesn't look expensive enough to justify paying more for her.

Generally the way I see it the dolls with a more classic look generally tend to appeal more to collectors hence have more value to them whereas those with a more modern look will appeal to people for a different reason not because of their look but because of the fact that they represent a Disney character.

With regards to Belle, I do agree I was a little disappointed in her, for starters she looks like she has a big forehead, that and her hair is a lot longer than it actually is in the cartoon, the dress is nice but there is something about it that doesnt look expensive, like doll lover said Snow's dress whilst simple just looks regal, elegant and expensive. Belle's dress whilst nice it just doesnt have that expensive look about it, if anything it just looks more tacky and prom dress like and I think this has to do with the material used to make the dress.

News from France, the people incliuding me, who went to the disney head quarter to complain on wenesday, recieved a phone call from the head director of disney store ( stores ) to make ammends and told me they are very aware of the situation in Europe, how many disney guest are angry and upset. I talk with him a bit long but needed to explain it all what happened for us at the champs elysées again. He ll contact us later again .

I was very touched , he took the time to call us ( all ) .

I got my blast off e-mails around 6:00PM PST. I'm glad they are coming in one box (they both have the same tracking number), so I can sneak a peek at Anna (who is a Christmas present
