Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
It is ridiculous, I have the Sq Elsa and she is gorgeous but I wouldn't pay those prices for her or for any doll. I was always baffled by snow whites price sure she is gorgeous but still! Soon their will be people trading Elsa for Snow, after all Elsa is nearly matching her price and is more limited.

There is already people asking people to trade Snow white with Elsa - and then when that didn't work it seems like they want to sell snow white in order to get money to buy Elsa.
I'm still glad that I got Elsa and Anna on a Japanese auction - because I surely would not pay 800+ dollars for one doll. Surely Elsa (and Anna for that matter) are gorgeous dolls - but paying more than 1200 dollars to get them both ... no way.

Hey guys:) I have the SQ Elsa doll and she is my favourite LE doll, I'm planning on getting the Snow outfit Anna in March to go with Elsa. But I keep feeling like I should get Coronation Elsa because even though I prefer the Sq one it would be nice to have both outfits and it's Elsa! But she would be my only double and wouldn't it look odd having two Elsa's and one Anna lol? What would you do?

I pre-ordered coronation Elsa because I think she looks amazing, but it does mean she will be the only double in my collection- I don't even have wedding Rapunzel. Part of me feels like it'd be weird. So I thought the same thing about possibly having two Elsas and one Anna. But with Elsa I really feel like I need them both, so I don't think it'll matter.
If you love them, it'll work itself out because they'll both make you happy. :)

I paid several hundred dollars for Sq Elsa on Ebay (And yes I felt very sinful doing it!) but now I am glad I got her when I did because there is no way I would or could ever pay what she is going for now. I was hoping to get Coronation Anna as well eventually but now even she is creeping nearer and nearer to the $1000 mark.

I have the March dolls on preorder so I'll also have two Elsas and only one Anna. I too was worried it would look kind of odd, and the completist in me just really wants the other Anna for the whole set.

If you really want the Coronation Elsa and you can get her at retail I'd go ahead and get her now. You might regret not getting her later and you'll only pay more money to get her on the second market.

Thank you! :)

And yes its insane!!! $1000 for Elsa??? I am so so so grateful I have them both, and I love them so very much!

yeah, something came up and I had to spend my doll money on something else, and now my heart is crushed cause I know I will never be able to get them. I could have talked my husband into spending maybe $400 for one doll, but these prices are above me.

Does anyone know the release time for coronation Elsa in EU/UK? We get so few and no Preorder. I need to be ready! I got up early for the last release and she actually sat on the French website for WEEKS after. I know I won't get 'lucky' this time.

I ended up with a damaged Elsa and the DS customer service told me they will give me a new doll. But I knew there was no way it was the Snow queen one as it coincided with Coronation Elsa coming to EU. So I passed. Even with a scratched eye I love her. Damaged doll is better than no doll.

I think I might just try to get Coronation Elsa, it's my birthday that month so I can get one for that and buy the other for myself:) I don't really want doubles but I will probably regret not having both Elsa's as she's my favourite. Besides if it does bother me having doubles can always trade one.

The Danish disney store says 9 am. Which is the same time zone as France.

Ah yes but which day? Thans Milaya!

Generally All LE doll releases are released at the same time to ensure that one country does not physically get the dolls before any others (hence why this does not count the preorder in America as that is not a doll release but a preorder). So that means that it should be coming out on March 18 at 12am PST in the US. So this mean if you are in London 8am And 9am in Belgium and France all on March 18.

of course last year there was the whole uproar when SQ Elsa was released on one of the Euro Disney sites much earlier than it should have been.

Thanks. I'll be sure to be ready. We seem to have a much smaller chance here. I want to at the very least have one undamaged doll.

I have my fingers crossed for a less Barbie-ish Briar rose too :)

The dolls never come up straight away, you either need the direct link or have to wait until about 15 minutes past the hour when the site refreshes.

Generally I would say not to worry too much because even though the Euro market gets fewer stock there are fewer people that buy the dolls hence why it wouldn't sell out immediately. This is also why the Euro market will always get a smaller amount of stock, it is just because the demand in Euro is less than it is in the US.

However with the whole FroZen craze anything is possible and I wouldn't be surprised if these sold out within the hour within Euro which would be a new record as no dolls have ever sold out within the hour in the Euro market (apart from China doll but was because they only had a small number of units to sell). Even the first SQ Elsa doll took about a day or two to sell out on the disneystore UK site.

Thanks:) I will try not to worry and will be up ready to order as soon as they become available! I do think they will break the record for fastest selling LE doll in the Eu market that is.

I don't understand -- how does someone obtain the direct link before it is available on the Disney store site? Sorry if that's a stupid question but I'm confused!

I also think these dolls sell out a lot faster than any previous LE dolls. First of all there's only 500 dolls of each for an entire continent. Second, I think a lot more is on the Frozen craze now than when the first dolls were released.
You have to keep in mind that when the first batch was released, promotions for the movie had hardly started in a lot of European countries - most of them didn't get the movie before the end of December (here included) - some even later. We were kind left behind on that parade...
Now people have watched the movie, they're on the Frozen wave and they have seen the popularity of the first set of dolls. I think they're ready now.
So November was slow, maybe, but we get less dolls this time and people have a long time to prepare.

I would prepare myself for battle if I was to buy the dolls in March. I've seen several Danish people ask about the dolls on the Danish FB page - not to mention all the UK people... 500 is not enough... at all.

Wish you all the best of luck!

Whilst the Disney Store updates their website at midnight it takes a while before the website is fully refreshed and you are able to search for the item on the site.

Yes whilst the Euro market may have received fewer stock I should reiterate again don't forget the US store caters to the whole world and not just the US, the US store delivers worldwide include the European continent hence why the generally get the most stock. Also historically sales of the LE dolls in the Euro market have been slow as I mentioned above the only time a doll ever sold out within a hour was China Doll and that is because there were only 500 of her worldwide. Whilst I do agree that 500 is a small number of dolls the last time the Euro market had 1,000 it took days for them to sell especially with the whole price increase. In my opinion coming from a country that has no Disney Store at all, I am left to resort to buying everything from overseas and I have to pay for shipping, taxes, duties and everything else regardless of where I order from. So I guess what I am trying to say is that if you really want the dolls then you would have done enough research to ensure that you are ready for the release because I can assure you so long as if you are on the ball on release day you should be able to get the dolls.

Now that being said I do agree that these Frozen dolls will sell out fast in the Euro Disney Stores and will probably set the new record for the fastest sales in terms of a LE doll release as I think it will sell within the hour. Not because it is a LE doll release but because it is Frozen, I am hoping that these crazy sales are a result of the whole Frozen craze and that we should see releases such as the designer fairies and the upcoming Sleeping Beauty LE doll go relatively smoothly. I do however believe that if you are online and on time for the release then you should be able to get the dolls without any dramas.

If you are really worried about the release you can always order it from the US just like several people that live within Europe do. I know that Europe will charge taxes and duties but at the end of the day it will generally still work out cheaper than having to buy it from the secondary market. Funnily enough with the Harrods set at the rate that the dolls are going at now a person could literally have paid for a ticket to London and personally go into the store and buy one and fly back home and that would still be cheaper than what some of the sets have sold for.

Either way good luck everyone trying to get these dolls in Europe, I am sure you will be fine, just be smart about the release and make sure you are ready on the day of release as I dont think it will sell out within seconds but rather minutes. Just as some form of assurance with the pins that were exclusive to the Euro market these were generally LE 300 if not less and usually these would sell out in about 10-15 minutes. So if you can get the dolls which are technically LE 500 (maybe 400 with 100 probably in store) so long as if you can get it within the 10-15 minute mark you will be fine.

But yeah I definitely cannot wait for the Frozen craze to die down a bit so that doll collecting does not get this nerve wracking or difficult.

This is also why I myself ordered from the US store. That, and the fact that I had to get those huge dolls from Denmark to Japan anyway but summer, so it was just easier to have a bigger chance at the US store and get them sent to Japan. It also turns out to be cheaper, because the US prices are lower than the European prices. If I ordered from the Danish store, the price would be around 320 dollars for the two dolls and shipping, where's it's 279 dollars from the US store to Japan. Japan also has a low import tax for such things... so overall I'm happy with my order from the US store, then I'm not taking any of the 500 dolls from the European market. Now I just hope for a safe arrival from the US to Japan XD

I also hope the craze will die down a bit, when it comes to the LE dolls, since I'm starting to worry about Aurora's release. XD I hope they make her at least a 5000 doll edition - or 6000 like Ariel, would be nice as well XD But, considering the low popularity of Cinderella, maybe we're fine.
