I think that we might. The 17" was very limited so I can see them doing that with slave. It's the best costume fit for the set tbh.

Yea I'd think it'd be the costume that makes the most sense - maybe with the addition of shackles? As much as I love the 17" red jasmine, her price point is something that I cannot justify currently and I was at the expo so it makes it even more heartbreaking that I couldn't get her.

I believe the pre-order is on Sept 14th. The link was probably made available early for those who couldn't attend D23 to view higher-res photos but the actual pre-order won't happen until the 14th.

I'd assume they'd just change the "Sold Out" button to "Pre-Order" button on the 14th utilizing the same link but I could be wrong! If anything keep your eye on the forum and facebook groups for link fairies. Good luck!

I hope I am making the right decision not preordering the set this time. It is a pain to have to go to the store or order online every week, but I was not very happy with the way the preorder turned out last year. I just hope I can get everything I want doing it one doll at a time!

As soon as I saw the first images of this set it hit grail status for me. Some people might remember how upset I got when I realized it might be a very small LE and I would never, ever have a chance to own it. But, the price came down to just reachable and here it is in front of me!! I just love everything about this set. I'm so happy!

As soon as I saw the first images of this set it hit grail status for me. Some people might remember how upset I got when I realized it might be a very small LE and I would never, ever have a chance to own it. But, the price came down to just reachable and here it is in front of me!! I just love everything about this set. I'm so happy!

I'd love the sets to be like that, but rather than a random choice I think the'll do Tiana. I'd really love for them to throw some more randomness in there, though. Meg and Hades would look amazing. I'd also like an Alice and Queen. I'd like to see them continue beyond 5 more sets. There a lot of combos they could do.

I'd love the sets to be like that, but rather than a random choice I think the'll do Tiana. I'd really love for them to throw some more randomness in there, though. Meg and Hades would look amazing. I'd also like an Alice and Queen. I'd like to see them continue beyond 5 more sets. There a lot of combos they could do.

It was be nice if they did an Alice and Queen since the 17" Alice is a doll the majority of collectors will never have a chance of owning. And there are a lot of Alice fans.

I absolutely agree. I love that Alice doll. She goes beyond being a grail doll for me as I can't imagine ever owning her. I think of Alice as being one of those "if I win the Lotto" kind of dolls (not likely since I buy about 1 ticket a year). I think of grail dolls as hard to own but there's still some hope to get one some day. The Lotto dolls are more of a total fantasy. Like, she'd look really good on a shelf in my mansion with my jag outside in the drive being washed by my shirtless husband, Hugh Jackman (or Tom Hiddleston, I'm not picky). I've spent a lot on dolls over the years, but even I can't see paying any where near over $3k for the doll unless I just had tons of money sitting around that I didn't have to actually work to get and no one in my extended family was in need of anything (and I didn't have an awful '70's bathroom with a hideous harvest gold bathtub and matching toilet seriously in need of updating).

I think the Tiana set is more likely seeing she is more popular, but I still think there is a good chance that we will see Alice. I don't expect Mulan or Pocahontas to get any dolls simply because of how big and bulky their villains are.

Haha omg I love how you created a new tier above the grail dolls - lotto dolls. That name really perfectly sums up about how much some of the dolls are going though. I honestly can't justify spending that much on a doll unless I've won the lottery and after all other priorities have been taken care of; literally, Lotto dolls.

I truthfully cannot see a Tiana/Facilier doll because Disney has a horrible track record with Tiana merchandise. I can see them doing an Alice/Queen of Hearts, especially with the new live action being released next year or in 2017? I don't remember but I know it was soon.

Don't think it would cause uproar at all, when they do her she doesn't sell out quickly anyway, think a Alice set is more likely than Tianna! I really think they will include one set that is unexpected like they did with Peter and hook!

I think we can pretty much expect sets to include the remaining main princesses: Aurora (blue dress, please), Cinderella (pink dress, please), Belle (they could even mix it up and put her in the blue and white outfit), and Jasmine (red outfit please). I think Disney knows Tiana (blue dress, please), Poco, and Mulan don't do as well, but it's good for them to show diversity and I think that's great so most every little girl can have a princess to relate to, so I have a hard time seeing them leaving out all of them, and of the three, I think Tiana does the best. I wasn't overly impressed with The Princess and the Frog, but would have bought the doll last year at retail because the doll was really lovely. Unfortunately, with 3 Sleeping Beauty dolls and Cinderella coming out on the same night, there was no way I could afford her and she wasn't a priority over the other sets as I had no emotional attachment, or particular fondness, of the movie. I ended up getting her at a discount later, though.

I have to say, I'm greedy. I really want more than 5 sets. In addition to the sets already mentioned. I also want another Frozen set (don't shoot me), coronation Anna and Hans. I know a lot of people are sick of Frozen dolls and we've now already had a Hans doll, but I missed out on coronation Anna and she would sell well. I'd still pick Alice and the Queen over that set, but again, I want more than 5 more sets. They kind of threw things out sync with the Peter Pan set and adding Frozen to the line up. Not that I'm complaining at all. I like that they are mixing things up. I just want them to keep mixing things up and I want more than 5 more sets. I don't think they will, but still it's fun to think about. We even have a new princess coming out next year, Moana. I can't see them adding her right away unless as part of the promotions, but maybe if the movie does well, and they continue the series past 5 more sets, she could be added. I doubt it and from what I've seen of the promos there's no "pretty dress." That seems to be a huge part of what makes a Disney princess do well in the doll world. IDK... there are so many possibilities if they think outside of the norm.

I totally agree with you about wanting more than 5 sets! I like that there's a big question as to which characters will be included in this lineup, when the Designer Couples lineups were relatively straightforward both years. I am already perfectly happy with whatever Disney wants to do for the rest of the line since they finally decided to make something limited edition for Peter Pan. But if I had to choose one more, I'd love a Cinderella in her pink dress with Lady Tremaine for next year.

And based on what we've seen so far, I believe Moana will get more initial merchandise than most Disney movies usually get, if only because of how crazy things were the first year and a half after Frozen came out (when everyone on eBay seemed to be paying extra for sold out products). But really whether they make Moana a Disney Princess and put the movie in merchandise long-term is anyone's guess at this stage.
