UPDATE JULY 25th
Alrighty! So with the RSP results posted we've figured out the "What's Next"? portion of our little adventure.
1) July 25th, 2017 - RSP results are listed. Once we have a correct count of how many pins we will receive, names will be drawn using a random number generator. I will be sending out the messages on July 26th to all the members who won pins.
2) Recipients will be contacted via PM on DPF, and have one day (24 hours) to claim their pins. (I'll mark this tentatively as 11:59pm on July 27th) If the spots go unclaimed, names will be re-drawn and these re-drawn names will have 24 hours to respond. At this time, each sponsors will also determine their cost of shipping, which will be added to your total.
3) Payments will be due to your respective sponsors on Monday July 31st at 11:59pm. This will allow a window of 5 days, though immediate payments are much preferred. Our payments are due for the merchandise IN FULL on August 10th at the latest, so we need to make sure there is plenty of time to get the funds into our own bank accounts so that we may purchase the items without an issue. I know this is a little over the top, but please calculate ahead of time how much you may possibly be spending, and mentally prepare which items you may want to drop if the total for the pins you've won exceeds your budget.
4) On Thursday, August 24th, 2017 - Items will be picked up by sponsors. Any of those who ordered mystery boxes and wished to know their pins may learn what they have within hopefully the next 24 hours. We can't guarantee how well our access to the forums will be, but will try to keep you all posted.
5) August 28th - September 1st, 2017: Sellers will begin shipping items. I know this is true for myself and PinHound, whose shipping orders I am handling, but due to the travel and work plans of others you will have to check with your sponsor to see when your pins will be shipped. (It will likely be during this week or the following, though.)
Please let us know of any questions or concerns you may have, and I apologize again for having to be so forward. This is going to be a pretty big pick-up, and I just want to make sure that it goes as smoothly for everyone as possible. Now, we wait! :hsd:
Original Post
Hi all! :wavey:
So a friend and I are headed to the Love is an Adventure Pin Event in August, and have some extra spots in our RSP's. As such, we wanted to help other DPF members to get the pins that we may have access to directly at the event for close-to-cost prices. So we wanted to create a "pre-sale"(?) thread for people to express their interest. If you are interested in any of the pins listed on the Love is an Adventure RSP (click here for the pdf and for pictures: x), please comment and we'll put you down to be entered into the "lottery within a lottery".
Also, if you have some extra spaces in your RSP that you'd like to contribute so that more DPFers have a shot at a pin let me know! Note that if you get the pin in the RSP you will get the full cost paid by your DPF pal, and will be responsible for shipping. (However, if you need to travel across long distances, have customs to deal with, or receive larger item like framed sets, I may be able to help you out.) Also as incentive for getting people to join our RSP, when you add in your RSP to our little pool your name will be bumped to the top of the lotto. So if any of us gets a set that you are unable to, you'll at least have the pin secured for close-to-cost.

TBD
OTHER NOTES:
(I'm sorry this is kind of excessive.)
1) In order to keep the playing field even, the limit you can request on pins is TWELVE (12) ITEMS. (This total does not include the request for multiple mystery boxes.) If you are looking to purchase a lot of pins from this event, or are looking for whole sets of the sets we are breaking up, we highly suggest that you sponsor another DPF member.
2) Lottos will be cut off at 10 members. (Not including RSP Sponsor slots, and there will be 20 slots for the Rapunzel/Flynn set.) So you must be one of the first ten to request a slot in the lotto for a particular pin (excluding the RSP sponsors). This number may be raised depending on the number of other RSP sponsors we are able to have join our forces, but for now we've capped it so that members have a decent shot of getting their desired pin.
4) This co-op is meant to benefit the members of DPF that are not able to make it out to the event for whatever reason, or who are unable to sponsor another member entirely due to cost. As such, if you are a member that has joined after today (April 18, 2017) unfortunately you will not be able to be part of the lotto. I understand that this is a little harsh, but I want to prevent people with ulterior from taking advantage of this opportunity. If you have joined after today and are genuinely interested in a pin, let me know and perhaps I will be able to trade for it for you at the event.
5) As a suggestion, if you are looking to purchase pins as traders and not for your collection, please consider entering into the box set pins which have no interest. Not only will you almost be guaranteed a shot at a pin, but you'll be helping other collectors to get the pins they want for their collections. (Good Pin Karma!)
7)If you are looking to purchase pins with the pure intention of selling them right away for a higher cost, or if you are a member attending the event and just want another shot at getting your desired pin, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. (Bad Pin Karma!)
6) If you are able to secure the pin from another member, please let me know and have the curtesy to take yourself off our list in order to give another person a shot. I will be monitoring the other close-to-cost threads, so no funny business. :suspect:
7) Please PM me with any questions!
COST BREAKDOWN:
Pins are meant to be sold close to MSRP (i.e. not "third party" prices), but unfortunately will not be sold at MSRP. Some extra charges will be added on to the cost of the pin which include
1) Florida tax: 6%, calculated per-pin
(UPDATE: Tax is actually 6.5% :dunno: But I'm tired and have already done enough math so consider it a .005% discount)
2) Sponsor Fee: As this is a ticketed event, item price will include a "sponsor fee" to help mediate the cost of the ticket and the effort that goes into picking up and transporting the pins during/after the event.
The sponsor fee for each pin has been based on:
A) The LE size (chance of getting a pin)
* Limited Release - $2 Sponsorship Fee
* LE 1000 - $4 Sponsorship Fee
* LE 750 - $5 Sponsorship Fee
* LE 500 - $6 Sponsorship Fee
* LE 300 - $7 Sponsorship Fee
* LE 150 - $8 Sponsorship Fee
B) The size and fragility of the pin (how difficult it is to transport)
* Mini Jumbo - No Additional Fee
* Super Jumbo - $4 Additional Fee
* Framed Set - $8 Additional Fee
C) If it is from a broken up set (unfortunately this stuff takes a lot of coordination, fee may be lowered or eliminated after I do some more math)
* Broken Set - $3 Additional Fee
D) And NOT character popularity. Instead of raising the prices for more popular characters (Tangled, Ariel, Frozen, Lion King, etc.) to mediate the number of interested participants, we have set up a "cut-off" for each person.
3) Paypal Fee: Payment must be made through "PayPal Goods" and thus incurs an extra fee. Fee will be calculated per-order ( 2.9% of the total cost plus $0.30, price can be calculated here: x)
4) Shipping: Shipping cost will be based on weight and location. International shippers are welcome, but be aware that tracking may not be offered unless you would like to pay the additional fee!
