Pinopolis/ACME/HotArt Pin Updates....basically messages from them
AFTER ALL THE DELAYS WITH THE ACME PINS I AM NO LONGER A FAN!!!!

Just to clarify … you said Bronze on page 8 and now the Cutout Flyer says Antique Gold.
This makes it difficult to figure out which is which..
they will be listed on PinPics as Antique Gold from the flyer

For the record.. these are Beautiful pins, great quality and detail.

Why the mix up?? You both work for the same guy? Right? I know in big companies it is hard for them at times to keep everyone on the same page. But if the info given is correct, this is just a little company and things take time. But it's odd that y'all would not already know all the pin information since y'all make the pins? Just a thought?

I believe it is a division of responsibilities or jobs within the company. This thread is specifically for the questions about pins sold and trading events.

@PinPics_Ambassador answers questions concerning issues related to the database. I think she wanted clarification in the description so it could be most accurate in the database. People might describe the same metal using different terms because it looks that way to them. Sometimes, we all need a reminder or clarification about a specific pin.

I think this helps create the best descriptions in the database.

Sure and my point is it would be real easy for the company to let both parties know what they want to call them. It's not that complicated. That would be the best way to keep the most specific info on pins. Who knows better than the people placing the orders overseas? They should simple tell the database what the pins are being made and what to call them.

I guess they could even wait to give the info. Seems some pins could get held back at times or not released. So that kind of would throw of the info since it seems to be a if or when kind of deal.

I have always wondered why the company doesn't list their own releases. It drives me crazy when a set or series will mostly have consecutive numbers and one random non consecutive number. I wish all 5 of Belle picnic variations were listed at the same time. But that's me.

I'm not sure. But one post made it sound like they could hold pins back if they want. I think it said something like they may not release somethings they already have made. I still can't help but think all the did problems no mater how big or small are just money related. If they gave out a announcement about this or that pun. They would kind of be locked into that and not able to hold back or release more as needed. Just st a thought. Kind of just have to go off of the info we do know or find out at times.

Until the Flyer came out I did not know that they were being made in
different colors of metal.
I, too, wish (think) that Members of the PinPics/Pinopolis Team should
have info before the general public but it is what is it. We all have a full load
and do the best that we can...
Thank you for understanding.

Totally agree with pinpics ambassador... we get the info only a few minutes before we have to post to the public.

There are a lot of changes coming and we are working together as a team to make the best, most efficient system possible.

The company at the time did not have the manpower needed when the presales were done. Who knew all of the pins would sell out so fast! It's a great issue to have, but we were not ready for it. Now we have an AMAZING team coming together to right the wrongs and bring the best pins available to everyone around the world!

Just got this in my email:

Check out HotArt Pin Trading!
mail

Presenting HotArt Pin Trading! This is a revised version of our HotArt Lanyard Trading that made it’s debut in July at PinCon World Las Vegas! Because of the feedback we received from you, we have made some exciting new changes!

Instead of using specially marked Bao Bay pins to trade, we have decided to offer the pins for direct purchase. Our current HotArt Trading Pins are called All-Star Classics and they are available in sets of 4! Each All-Star Classic Pin is Limited Edition 200. The sets are priced at $40 each and will be available at a Pin Master near you very soon!

The sets are designed so that you can keep the characters you collect and trade the other low edition characters for more grails and more trading fun! Of course if you still have any specially marked Bao Bay traders you can still use them for a $10 credit toward the purchase of any HotArt Trading Pin sets.

The first set of HotArt Trading Pins will be available through our Florida Pin Master August 4, 2018
Location and Hours of Operation
Be sure to check Pinopolis's Facebook and Instagram pages for the latest flips

We will also have HotArt Trading Pins at Orlando Evenings of Enchantment

I do have to say, I'm a bit disappointed on how the whole pin trading thing has gone. It started off as a neat and fun idea that I was looking forward to participating in. You do lanyard trading, limited to two pins per person per lanyard per day, and there would be flips over time. Cool. Then they changed it to as many as you wanted but still equally across the lanyards. Then they took away the flipping and just brought out more. Then they took away the per lanyard limit and said you could have as many as you want on any given lanyard (although 2 at a time). Then, with the pinpics at-cost, they took out the trading piece completely and made them just pins you buy like any other (and as others have pointed out, no longer limited to in person at events). And now, you can't get single ones at all and it's a group of four. I'm out.

I personally like the pins at cost option. As a person who is too far away to go to Florida/California events, it's really my only opportunity to buy these pins at a reasonable price. I understand that it takes something away from pin trading, but it does even the field a little bit.

I agree, this was me, kind a just reading about the pin trading events and then went on alert mode once I see a chance to buy them.

Sorry to say but from all I have read in the post, only one thing is for sure for y'all. You are going to sell this and make money off this. Sounds like a poor plan to think you are going to do all this money but not spend any to have the right kind of fulfillment backing you up. Part of a good business plan is being ready to do business. Sadly I think starting out like this has and will rub people the wrong way. Kind of makes what could have been cool a little bit sour now.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting. Hope to see you get all your pins soon.

It looks as if it is just about selling pins. The part that was odd to me is the mention of some pins could get held back. It really seams like the market is being manipulated in any and all ways possible. Not the kind of transparency people like when involved in a expensive hobby like this. Best of luck to you on the rest of your collections.

I was done with this place as soon as they started marketing varying metal colors as different pins. "We have special LE 100 pins but it's really just the same pin available in ten different metal colors."

All of the classic cutout series #1 have been mailed. Series #2 has not yet.

@Pinopolis Ambassador I still am missing a large number of classic cutouts #1. I received a shipping invoice for them back in JANUARY, I am aware that they were obviously not ready then. What can I do now? I am out over 2k and I was hoping to resell some of these pins trade some and keep the rest, but if I am the last to get them, that doesn’t work very well because everyone who wants them already has them. I ordered literally forever ago, are they filling orders in reverse order? I was thinking about renewing my gold membership, but now I’m wondering if I should just try to get my money back for promised goods! I’ve been promised a set a of pirate Pinopolis pins since last year’s event and I still don’t have those and they ARE made! I’ve heard now, that the ones that I will get are not going to be tradeable because they will be missing a seal on the back! This is crazy! I spent hundreds for that event which included that set of pins, and now they are worthless? I really don’t understand and I’m tired of being told to wait and then paying MORE money for the next thing and still waiting! I’m really not angry. I’m just at a complete loss. I don’t know what to do and I need some answers (and some pins!) Please help me resolve this issue.

I will personally look into all of this for you. Can you please PM me your information so I can pull up your account?

I am torn on this issue. On one hand, I am happy that those who don't live close to trade events have a chance at the pins at cost, but on the other hand, these were marketed as only available at the trade events. A large part of the reason I went out to the Vegas event was to get the trading pins, since they were supposed to be event-exclusive. And then at the event we were told that the ambassadors would also have them and people could visit them once a day to trade. Ok, not exactly what was advertised, but the exclusivity somewhat remained, since you physically had to go to them in person. And then we were told that the first originally-event-exclusive set would all be available through pins for cost. And then we were told that with the next set, instead of trading other pins for them you just buy the pins directly, so they aren't even really lanyard trading pins anymore.

I understand that with any new program changes can be made, but so many changes were implemented so quickly that took the program so far away from what it started as that it feels as if they just dropped the trading program completely and added LE200s to the normal lineup.

At the end of the day, I'm not really mad. Just kind of....frustrated? And kind of feel like the trading program was a bait-and-switch to get people to go to the Vegas event. If I knew then where this program would be at now I honestly would have probably not gone to Vegas after all and just applied for the pins at cost. And I will probably have to think hard about attending any future event where I have to travel significantly since I may be able to get the pins just as easily afterwards without the time and expense of traveling.

My problem with PinPics and Pinopolis as a whole is that you all seem to expect the community to invest time, money, and effort, and yet you are not willing/able to give time, effort, or money in return. Everyone affiliated with both projects keeps asking us to be patient. You say you're all busy and have other responsibilities in life. That's true of every person on this forum. I am also a stay-at-home mom with a part-time, at-home job, and I would never, ever dream of treating my clients the way you all treat the pin community. Why on earth should I give you money for pins I will never get? Why on earth should I put in the time and effort to add pins to PinPics when the entries will never appear?

The constant changes are becoming ridiculous. Someone says they will update shipping in one place, and then they don't. Someone else says they will update database progress somewhere else, and then they don't. You all say pin trading will happen one way, and then it changes. @PinPics_Ambassador has now said she will not update here anymore because it's too much to keep track of. You are all obviously in way over your heads, but instead of bringing on more help, you continue to put the burden on us to seek out information. We have to beg and plead to get what you have promised to us. It's not right.

Why not have the pins come in 2 packs instead of 4? I'm mostly a collector first, a trader second, and a reseller never again. The 4 pack benefits mostly the reseller, because most people are only going to want one or two pins on a pack. When you only want one and get four, that leaves 3 to be traded or exchanged otherwise. I'd only personally want at most one pin left over to trade at a time or per card. $40 is a large investment to make if you only want one pin on the card. I like to see that the company is reacting to feedback. I also like to see the availability to the pins for most people with Pins@Cost, but I can understand the frustration of other's that were promised exclusivity at Vegas.

@Pinopolis Ambassador I'm also wondering since the perk of trading up to 12 pins on the lanyards was taken away for early entry at the evening events, if some other perk (i.e. one Pinopolis trader pin) would now be included in early admission.
