LOL, am I in denial here, thinking these are still prototypes? I just can't see this being the final product. Even the way the packaging sits seems so beta-like.

Last year I didn't pay attention to the villains line until Disney announced it. Does Stitch Kingdom leak final product pictures? These could still be prototypes, right? Right? I mean, they've still got a couple months to finalize the details.

We're on the same page here The best time to buy "old toys" on the second hand market, as in the original set, is between late January to the end of May. It is the off-season, and you can find them at decent prices if you are vigilant. I know this because I watched the prices of them from just before the villains came out to mid Spring when I got my Ariel and Rapunzel.

Quasi - I thought they would start releasing them in mid-August? When was it last year?
 

Thanks for the tip! I have been watching the prices on and off ever since they were released, but not often enough to see a pattern. Now I'll know when to be vigilant.
 
Hi everybody! The set I was looking forward to was/is Jasmine/Aladdin, Flynn/Rapunzel & Belle/Beast. Mix feelings as most of you as well. This past year I've started a Disney doll collection. Still new here but wanted to share with you my current Beast & Aladdin dolls which I'm quite happy with for comparison. Though I prefer the latest Mattel Beast Prince face , I don't like him missing his back ponytail. So still prefer this one



Loving the outfit designs just not so much the final product, would need to see them live. I might attempt to make them myself ^^ for a nice change of outfits for my currents dolls.

At the moment I agree Prince Eric/Ariel are the best ones so far, though yeah Eric looks to be checking out some swimming by mermaid lol.

Jasmine/Aladdin are the only ones so far that look in love Would have also liked the Princes to have rooted hair.

Snow White is like: " You took to long, I don't think so. " hahaha...

Hoping Flynn well looks like Flynn Really cool if Rapunzel somehow is letting go of a glowing lantern.

Not so happy about same size display boxes, which could be why they shrunk their dresses

Waiting anxiously for the Beast fingers & toes veryy crossed! Hoping for a better improved version of my current one.

And It would be nice if Belle actually sits in a chair and not a stand.
 
Ok, so I just saw on FB that the UK sold, and sold out in 1 hour, the Designer Fairytale couples Lithographs. I don't know how many they sold, so I checked out the U.S. Disney Store website and started a chat with one of the Cast Members online. Here's part of the conversation:
(ME) IF the US has not sold these, will they let us know when they are going to release the lithographs or must we check the website every day? If we do check the website every day, do they have a specific time that they post new items or does it vary?Adrienne: Unfortunately Nicole we do not have that item available, and I am not sure if we will receive it.

What?!!!!?? So the U.S. Disney store may not even be selling the Lithographs? Does anyone else know anything about the Lithographs?
 

Well the last time there was an expo the lithos were exclusive to the D23 event and were given out free if you preordered the designer princess set. But last year with the villains the lithos came out as soon as the villain merchandise was available and the preorder for the set was up online. So I think to know if the lithos will be coming out online or not you will need to know as well of the preorder for the set will be available online as well. Which I believe at this point we do not know. But that being said more information about the set will be released at the expo in about 2 weeks time as the set is expected to be revealed during the first day at the D23 expo this year.

Also don't forget that this year they have more lithos than ever with the set expected to be an LE of 5000. If this is the case then one would assume that they would be selling it online as well due to the high edition size.

People agreed that it was a mistake and that it was never supposed to be put online to begin with, therefore there will be more put on the site in due time, it is NOT sold out.

When you said that more would be put on site are you referring to the UK or the US Disney store? Because there has been nothing announced yet as to how you will be able to get the lithos in the US. But since the UK store released the lithos online early I would assume that the US will also release it online but this has not been confirmed. Also going back to the UK Disney store they usually only hold a small number of items so I am not sure if they will release the lithos again but like you said the did admit they released them too early and it was a mistake so it is likely that it is not sold out but rather sales are put on hold until an actual official release.To be honest though with mess ups like that along with the China Doll fiasco that just shows poor form. You would expect something like that from a mid to small range online company with smaller IT support but for one a big and backed by Disney there really is no excuse. It just makes you worry about all the errors and site crashes that will happen during the next designer release and possibly during the Ariel LE release this Monday.

This is my current Beast doll and I'm hoping that the Designer Beast will be an improvement of this one, fingers and toes crossed lol

Everyone is hating on Snow White and the Prince. It's actually my favorite one. I love the way the Prince's face looks and the change up in Snow Whites hair!!! The only one I'm hesitant about is Aladdin and Jasmine. I LOVE them as a characters, but I was a little disappointed with Jasmines outfit. I feel like there's too much going on. It doesn't mean I'm not going to buy all of them though. Hahahah. Also it looks like Ariel is a size 2, but she's wearing a size 8....

IMO all the guys look AMAZING though!

So far the one I'm most excited to get is Snow White and the Prince!!!!
 
Ooh! I'm dying to see the Flynn/Rapunzel set, Beast/Belle set, and now the Snow White variant!

And I have heard it is Snow White and the Prince as well. I heard the words "wedding variation," but words are just words for now!
 
omg I would die if the variant was somehow inspired by OUAT. But yeah, it'll probably be only slightly different the way Designer Cinderella was.

i feel like the variant will be her rags dress inspired somehow it's when snow and her prince first met love at first sight.

Might try making this new outfits for a change of clothes of my current 12" dolls.

Looking forward to seeing Rapunzel and Flynn hopefully it does look like him and her holding a glowing lantern.

I NEED to see Belle! So far I like Ariel and Snow the best which is odd, considering Jasmine is my second favorite princess.
