2013 Fairytale Designer Collection
Does anyone know if the UK will be getting the mugs?

I wasn't going to bother with any of these dolls as I was lucky enough to get all 10 of the original designer princesses. However after seeing the pics and reports back I think I can justify getting two of my favourite princesses, Belle & Jasmine. I really wish they were in one of my local stores so I could go check them out :(

I'm not a fan of ordering online because their is even less quality control you have what you are given so to speak and after the issues I had with my designer Rapunzel I'd want a thorough check beforehand.

I just noticed a listing on the secondary market for the BATB set and it says its in hand?!


But then when you read the description it is talking about the Aladdin set and still says in hand and then says it is a preorder that will ship after oct 1! Wow how rude not only is the listing all messed up but the person didn't even take the time to edit it before listing it. I can understand them wanting to make money out of these and make their listing appealing but this is just slack and wrong. Was contemplating contacting them to tell them that their listing is all wrong and will result in it not selling and potentially even being put down due to misinformation but maybe it is a lesson they should learn on their own?
 
My DS, had rapunzels heard turned straight on....I really wish that they would have put Eugene on the other side.....I will be trying to rearrange him in there so he can be seen....If I have, I will take them out of the box and fix it so its the way I want them to look;) Is anyone else, willing to remove them from their box to get the pose more esthetically pleasing?
 
Does anyone have pictures of how Eugene is secured in the case with Rapunzel? I should have took a closer look on the inside to see......because if there's a stand that's screwed in there, that can easily be removed. Also to rescuer him, I might just use museum putty. I use it to secure my Vinylmations in their display cases and anything else that I want to stay sturdy. It's wonderful, gives a good hold and doesn't stain or leave a mark!

I'm planning on getting Rapunzel & Flynn, and I will debox them. The first thing I'll do with them will be some good reposing :)
 
I will be moving Flynn! And moving Rapunzels head and I will position her braid infront so you can see it!I don't usually open these but I have had to slightly reposition some of them. I've ordered Snow! I didn't plan on it but she's so cute and I love her braid!

I only have the room for two but Im going to sell Cruella and the queen of hearts and then have each villain with their princess. I have aurora so I know I would have regretted not getting snow to go with the evil queen.

You won't regret it! Have you seen the dolls in person yet? I didn't plan on getting Snow at all but once I saw her, it was a WRAP! I have the first designer Snow and I love how both these designer dolls have a completely different look. I also have the designer Evil queen. I have cruella as well and I LOVE how she looks.....are you sure you wanna part with her?? Does she sell well in the second market? Queen of hearts is the only villain that I didn't get from the collection

Same here! :) I'm sure there's a way to do it without damaging anything. Snow definitely won me over too. I think it was the disneygeek vid and seeing it in person that did me in! She also has a cute nose!

I just phoned and my local (ish) store has 3 snow whites left....I was supposed to get paid yesterday, but haven't been yet! I wonder if she will still be there when I do! I hope they've got all of the dolls on display, I can't wait to see them! Glad to hear that everything has been going smoothly so far for this release :)

No I haven't seen them in person:( I love the look of this Snow it's so elegant and different and I think I'm the only one who loves her braid! I love the Cruella doll,she's stunning!.
But I only have two floating shelfs and my bf will not let me have any more selfs because he doesn't like dolls and doesn't want the room full of them lol.

I prefer Cruella over Gothel and Ursula(Mali and evil queen my faves) But those have Ariel and Rapunzel with them and Cruella and queen of hearts will be just stuck on the end of the shelf lonely:/

So after these I just hope for an Aurora and Phillip so then I have all my favourite villains,princes,and princess's.

Does anyone know we're I could get some props(to scale with dolls) ? I want a crow for maleficent and an apple for Snow!
 
I love her braid now too. At first I didn't like how it stuck out from her head, but in person it doesn't look like that to me. I love it. Plus, I am a side braid type of girl. When I was little my hair was always kept short and I really wanted long hair. My biggest goal was to have a side braid. :) Now my hair is way long (hence my nickname) and I still love side braids.

I love the braid, the one thing that I wish they would do with snow is make her dress shorter like the film,she has the most adorable shoes in the film(with the little bows) and none of the limited edition dolls have the. Has anyone go any pictures of her with the evil queen?
 
Snow is still up for sale online. So they must have more than half the stock up online or the demand is not as high as Disney expected.

I think the price has really deterred a lot of people buying the doll. I think that with the initial line disney did everything right from the price to the design because what this meant was that die hard collectors could buy the set and casual buyers would buy some as well. If course this also encouraged the sharks because they knew the dolls looked pretty and took advantage of people not knowing of the dolls but now because everyone knows of the dolls they know where to go and how to buy it. So I honestly don't think we will have another dollmageddon or at least one as bad as 2011. I still think that Ariel and maybe Rapunzel will sell out a lot faster than Snow and there may be issues with the sites during their release nights but nothing near as bad as the initial line release.

If this line does fizzle out then I have a feeling that Disney will either revamp the designer series going forward or potentially scrap the whole thing and try something new. Right now it is anyone's guess but I think we may have a designer gothel equivalent in this line that may be difficult to sell just unsure who though, especially with the high price tag.

Do you rotate your dolls on your shelves? We do that at my apartment because I collect dolls and my BF collects action figures - we never have enough room for everything to be out at once. Don't let lack of room strop you if you love dollys, there may be more space someday!

Oh, my.... I would NOT be able to contain my girls to just 2 floating shelves!!! Unless, they went all the way around the room LOL!! I have the Mattel limited edition Malicifent doll and she came with her lil crow. He sits on her shoulder, just like it the film. I hope that your BF would just give in and allow maybe a tall bookshelf or something?? But I can understand him not wanting dolls to take over the bedroom......At the moment, most of my collection is in my closet..I have the room to put it up but I just don't have enough shelving. I'm moving to Southern California next year in February and that is what has kind of kept me from looking to purchase a nice display unit because, it will be another thing to move:/ Also, I'm going to have to secure my girls somehow, just in case of an earthquake:/ I think Aurora and Philip would look amazing! I really hope disney will do a second wave next year;)

Aside from price, I think many people don't even wanna go through what they went through back in 2011 and probably feel content with the original collection. It's funny how we all think that Ariel will sell out fast but from the first collection, I believe she was around for a few days, maybe even a week. It didnt get crazy until Mulan and Snow White ;) Also, I don't think many people can get away like that to the store for the raffle. I know for myself, I'm in college so, if I miss a class, it's up to me. Most people's jobs, aren't going to allow that kind of time away, on multiple days. So, maybe that keeps some people to just going after their ultimate favorite princess.
