okay, off to go hug my mother  . I love these two so much! :D My first designers!

Congratulations! :) And great job on the fantastic romantic pose that you put them in! I love how you directed Rapunzel's attention away from her old dream to her new dream. And Flynn looks way less creepy like this. Great job! What on Earth were the Disney Store doll designers thinking when they came up with that awful in-box pose with all of that gross plastic all over the place?

In the french forum, plenty got the set with a lot of defect. Black hair , default paint. Tangled in the braid. the back of the dolls with black paint. etc etc etc. It's horrible how many .

Could you put a link to the French site please pupuce?! :) so very interested in these dolls, I don't have any dolls but these are so beautiful I can't stop looking at them! I'd love to see some pics of the ones with differences! :)

Hi there, this is my first post here so I hope you don't mind me contributing after lurking about for so long...I also have a golden eyed Rapunzel and I got mine from the UK store. Maybe it's a UK thing?

congrats rose_valentine!! she looks beautiful!! glad you got her :)
Thank you so much! I love my rapunzels! Its incredible for fortunate coincidences i had 2 of them o__O

Seriously?:( That's bad! My mother pick from 10 rapunzels and said she was the ONLY whitout major defects (black paint, cutted hair on the braid, BROKEN flowers , derpy eyes) :( Its a fault! 120 euros for bad quality control? :( Is unfair.
I'm sad for the people who had her with THAT defects. For me is unforgivable.

I love Rapunzel with gold eyes! It makes her look more magical. However, I can see why you prefer the green since it's more movie accurate. Cool defect!

She is "different" :P :D I really love the green eyes one for the GIANT curl too. Its so fluffy and big in person :)

Really? :) I'm glad! She is cute, but she is strange with that gold-hazel color... :| Not impressed, i still prefer green eyes. :)

Oh no I'd be so so mad.

I mean black hair on Rapunzel, seriously?!

Disney are so lazy with quality control its shocking! It's not like these are £20 dolls they are a limited collection! If so many have problems I wonder how many disney keep back when these issues arise seeing as the dolls are selling out.

Thank you so much! :D yes disney did a horrible job posing them! I really love them like this. :) I finally was able to get the lantern upright while the lid was down, so I won't be taking them out for a while! I'll do a review on my blog eventually.

Oh and don't even get me started on that packaging!  it took me like 25 minutes to get everything off of them!

here are some more:

For those who ordered Rapunzel online, did you get a tracking number email and did it ever update? I received an email on Friday, Sept 6 that she was shipped. The tracking has not been updated and just says "A label was created" and that she has not been received in the sorting facility. Seems weird that there hasn't been anything else since then. I know before when Ive ordered online Ive received the package without it updating. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else before? I'm thinking about bringing my collection down to just the ones I love and focusing on those: Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, Tink (and perhaps adding Aurora). Ive always loved Aurora (mainly because she is French.) I should start collecting her too.

I got the tracking number sunday night but the package wasn't picked up until Monday night. The doll was supposed to be here today but it wont show up until tomorrow. The tracking number is now working for me. It should arrive tomorrow morning/early afternoon if all goes well.

Congratulations on your beautiful new doll addition, and I also have to chime in about how lovely your re-posing shows off the dolls!! It seriously makes a world of difference and really makes the dolls stand out!

I love the way they did Rapunzel and Flynn in this collection- I couldn't afford the dolls (they're so pretty, but I just haven't the room for them to justly display them) but I got the journal and mug of them as well as the wallet... and journals of all the other princesses... I definitely splurged more on this designer collection than I originally anticipated

I think all the dolls have a layer of gold over the green but on some it is more prominent than others. Also I've noticed there is more gold on the lower numbers and less on the higher, but on the lower the numbers the bodice is more even and the strings longer, but on the higher numbers the bodice is lopsided and the strings shorter. Anyone else see this? I looked at several and checked the numbers. Seemed consistent.

You may be right! I've got #694 of 6,000 and she's pretty perfect!!! Got them in store on release day Tuesday.... Never thought about checking against a higher numbered one. Hmmm....interesting

Mine is in the high 1000s and has a perfect even bottomed bodice with longer strings and slightly more gold eyes.

The ones I saw with an uneven bodice, shorter strings, and less gold/more green eyes were in the 2700s and high 3800s.

(I don't remember exact numbers, and I'm not at home to check my doll for hers but it was either in the 1700s or 1500s).

Personally i think is totally random thing: my 2 rapunzel sets are HIGH numbers (last 1000): the golden eyed one is 5076 and the green one without defects is 52.. something i dont remeber.. but they are high numbered.. so i think is a random thing..

The sad thing to say is for 100++ euros-dollars to set is a SHAME they are so defective!

UNFORGIVABLE. :nono:

Does it have more defects other than more golden eyes? I think the eye gold is forgivable, but the wonky bodices are not so nice looking. I hate how one side is so much longer than the other. They remind me of the bodices I have sewn for myself (I am quite the novice).

Aside from the stock images, does anyone have a picture of their doll with very green eyes that don't have any gold over them?

Rose Valentine, any chance you might take a picture of them full length side by side and then one of their eyes in the sunlight? I still want to see if the gold eye one has other differences.

I like a little bit of the gold because Rapunzel did have some brown in her eyes near the pupil.

Yes i can do that! Probably tomorrow for best light condition but i will try! :)

My Milan store - green eyed rapunzel had just green eyes.
No goldish-other stuff. Just the regular green of rapunzel.
She actually not have signs or defect. Even the bodice is all fine. Just a little sign behind the curl, jus that.
Probably the most "wrong" thing was the broken rubber band holding her hair in the back (she had the hair loose in front of the box when my mother buy her).
She had a BIG, soft and long curl. Like the one in the promo picture.

The other (UK one) is golden (totally) with more defects (signs on her face and mess of little things).
The golden one had smaller pupils too. Bad hair curl too (too much thinner and full of hair product!).

I check in milan (they still had 2 of them) and they're FULL of defects. In the face.. black points in the eyes,
hair product on the face..
Unfurtunally i didnt take photo, but the one with actually broken flower (yes, the white flower was missing a petal!) was still there.

I think every Rapunzel is diffrent from each other.. the sad thing she is so "easy" to had defects!
