2013 Fairytale Designer Collection

I ended up just cutting the back piece of the cardboard off and putting it in the bag with the slip over. I hated how Flynn was pushed up against it. I ended up rebraiding Rapunzels hair because her hair was a hot mess when I opened the box. I also ended up keeping the stands in place and just turning them. I really like how it turned out. Sadly the lantern moved when I put the lid back on so I'll eventually have to fix it. But they are more gorgeous when you can actually see them both.

Tinkerboy: Sorry!

shooting4ownhand: They look really great! I did a similar pose for mine as well. Oh and a good way to keep Rapunzel hand from moving with the lantern is to take Eugene hand and actually fit is around Rapunzel's wrist. It will stabilize her hand holding the lantern and not move when you put the cover back on :)

I will have to do that! Thanks! I dont plan on messing with them until tomorrow. I'm just too tired right now.

I will not debox them.. sincerely i simply don't care about Flynn in this set (he is "not a cool , beautiful and sweet" guy with that expression) :naughty:

Rapunzel stands out anyway, so for this time - strangely - my head refuse to debox them
:|

Obviously your new poses for them are totally cool! Its a cute thing people personalized them :)

P.s. Here is a short video with my Tangled set :D Enjoy it if you want!

Ugh! UPS rant coming...

Sometimes UPS delivery people suck! I have been home all night waiting for DFDC Rapunzel & Flynn to arrive via UPS with a scheduled delivery for today, all the while checking the UPS website for status updates. Then at around 8:20 pm the status says that they attempted a 1st delivery but no one was available. Pardon me, but that is total crap. I live in an apartment with an external entrance. The door was open (with the glass storm door closed, of course) and the lights were on in the house. If someone came to my door, I would have seen and heard them. Also there was no UPS Infonotice left at my door. Can you say lazy? This package was on that truck since 5 in the morning, if that person could not finish their deliveries, they should not lie and say that they attempted a delivery when they did not. So of course I had to call UPS customer service and not only report this person's actions but I requested that they hold the parcel at the local UPS facility for me to pick it up tomorrow.

To make matters worse, this is not the first time that something like this has happened exactly in the same way: a supposed delivery attempt with no UPS Infonotice left behind, which shows me that the person just did not bother. Keep in mind that in my area there are no natural disasters, major accidents, severe weather conditions or anything else that would reasonably cause a delay. Yuck!
Seems like that is what happened with mine as well. I was home pretty much all day and saw UPS come by but they dropped a package at another unit and left. It better come today darn it.

I hope your dolls came in today! :) I was able to pick mine up at the nearby UPS facility earlier today, and luckily there were only a handful of "flaws": Rapunzel had a few dabs of hair styling product on her face, which came off easily; a few of the eyelashes of one of Rapunzel's eyes were funky, which I was able to pluck out; and one of the sleeves of Flynn's satin shirt has a run in the fabric, which there is nothing I can really do about, but luckily it's not too noticeable.

To add to RapunzelSalat's hypothesis, my DFDC Rapunzel's eyes are more green with a light sheen of gold over them, and her corset is evenly made (not lop-sided). This doll set is #3133.

I am not going to debox any DFDC dolls until my doll set pre-order comes in October, because I plan on deboxing those dolls as my definite "keeper" dolls. So for now, I'm just going to play around with reposing DFDC Rapunzel and Flynn within the confines of the factory packaging. I am very pleased to say that DFDC Flynn looks a lot better in person, especially when you turn his head from staring at the back of Rapunzel's head. I really like that it looks like he has a complete shirt under his doublet. Can anyone who has deboxed DFDC Rapunzel and Flynn confirm if he does or not? It is still disappointing that they shoved him in the back corner with Rapunzel blocking him from the front view of the doll case.

Why would they do that with the Prince and not Eugene? I don't get that at all. Eugene is probably the most popular prince in the Disney line-up......at least until Frozen comes out! All I know that I want from Frozen (besides the LE dolls) is a plushie of the Prince's horse in Frozen! He has a buckskin horse and I MUST have that plushie!!!!!

Is Eugene now the most popular? I think Eric was before him. I still prefer Eric. Eugene is a little too full of himself for me even if some of it is just bravado and covering up his sensitivities. Flynn I don't love for his ego, but I do like the Eugene within him, but still his Flynn characteristics are a real part of him too. Did I make ay sense there? Eric on the other hand just seems like a sweet guy without any big ego.

You made sense. I think that Eric and Eugene/Flynn are the two most popular, but it's hard to tell who is really more popular right now. If Disney has done a Designer Prince line then we could possibly get a clearer idea of who is more popular. Their popularity is also hard to compare since Eric has been around for over two decades whereas Flynn has only been around for three years. That's a significant difference. Clearly Eric's popularity has stood the test of time, but it will be a while before we know just how popular Flynn truly is. There's always a portion of the population whose favorite prince (or princess) is the current one. It will be interesting to see how Frozen affects Tangled's popularity.

Oh you're right! We don't know if he will stand the test of time, although I think he will. I forgot about Aladdin. I wonder how he fits in. He is one of the few with a standout personality too. I don't think Anna and Elsa will diminish Tangled's popularity because Rapunzel seems to me a much better known fairytale than The Snow Queen. Especially how they are telling it. But maybe I am wrong. People love ice and snow stories of all sorts. And two potential princesses with love stories might be nicer than one.

I did get them on Friday. I hated they way they put Flynn directly behind her. You cant see him at all unless you look from the side. Why didnt they off set them more. I opened it up to move them slightly. I made her look more forward, and turned his head to the side. I shifted her body to the left where she is holding the lantern so you can see Flynn a little bit better but not by much. I also took out that plastic block that was between them, it was so ugly looking and you couldnt really see Flynns outfit.

My rapunzel has gold eyes, very little green in them if at all. I need to check in bettter light. The only issue I had was my own doing. When trying to replace the acrylic cube, I damaged the cardboard backdrop a little at the very top corner on one side whilte trying to wedge it into those little tabs that hold it. Its not super visible, but still rather annoying.

Tinkerboy: Awww!!! I hate it when that happens. I did something similar....except when a was putting the plastic lid on I didn't realize the COA had slipped...basically I know have a ripped COA for my Rapunzel and Eugene set.....but I don't care to much, I would never get rid of that set so I'm okay with it.

But totally get the annoyance of know that it is there! :squint:

Silly question. Does Disney allow the use of gift cards in-store on LE merchandise? I got a few GC's for my birthday, otherwise I'll just use it and buy ALL OF THE FROZEN STUFF!

Jasmine/Aladdin are right around the corner now!!! I wonder if my store will be busy or not...they had extra left of Snow White/Prince but they did sell out of Rapunzel/Eugene on the day they were released. I guess I will see on Tuesday!

Hi, everybody new here! I'm so nervous for Jasmine & Aladdin. Won't be able to go to my DS so will order online. Hope they arrive safe and near perfect ^^. Can't wait!

I'm really curious myself! My closest store had 3 Snows left when I got there at 6:00pm on release day, and had 5 Rapunzel sets!!! Maybe I'm too confident, but I think I should be ok ;) if not I will be very surprised!

I keep hearing that this has been the most asked about set in my particular store. But I don't know how much of that is just talk. I adore Jasmine's hair. It is the best representation of her puffs of any doll I have seen. And I love the lotus flower.
