After the crazy Flips in November they started using tickets to keep people from cutting after someone had their friends get in line with them in front of people and bought out all the Joy PTD's >.>
They use them now when they need to form a line outside

waited in line for about 15 min and kept wondering why people were asking me what number i was.

now that i see its the new one im not as disappointed. just more PO-ed that i wasted my time. since the person in front of me bought the last launchpad.
 
I only knew they were giving out tickets after waiting in line for 15 minutes, and had to go back to the door to get a ticket.

yeah there seemed to be quite a bit of that.

would have made more sense to pass them out to people as they were walking down the side to line up.

o wellz now i know not to line up right away. lol
 
The whole ticket thing was really strange and disorganized. The guy who was supposed to hand out tickets didn’t even bother saying anything to me when I walked past him to buy pins. Even though there was literally no one else in line the cashier still made me turn around and go get a ticket. They should probably clarify the whole process with updated rules if that’s how it’s gonna be.
 
I had just got my niece, who lives nearby, to agree to go last night to buy me PTD's. By the time I typed the message, they were all sold out!:(
Have to pay closer attention to their facebook page.

I was very leery, but I really love the reboot. They need to hurry up with season 2.

I have their Facebook page set to always appear at the top of my feed but so of course I was at the movies when they posted.

I saw someone offering to trade their Marie for a Nick PTD this morning. I hadn't realized he was that popular.

I'm with you on that. I like the reboot, but oddly enough, Launchpad, who was my favorite character back then, has stopped being my favorite because they kind of dumbed him down a bit and made him an idiot, which I don't like. Still, I want the pin because he's always been my favorite!

This is where I confess that I didn't really watch the original series. He's definitely an idiot in this version. My husband was a huge Disney Afternoons fan as a kid and I'm sometimes in the room when he's watching the original and Talespin with our son.

I was going to say the same thing. If I had a Marie and someone were willing to trade a Nick PTD for it I'd snap up that deal in an instant.

For the new series, I've only seen the first episode. I enjoyed it, but for pins I'd really just want to focus on the classic Disney Afternoon version since that's what I grew up on and have an attachment to.

I have also seen people asking for that trade but haven't seen that trade actually happen yet. I think nick is still valued above $150 iirc.
