Kida doll LE is 9600, both this years designer Jasmine and Pocahontas the same.... If all the dolls are going to be pushing 10,000, while easier to get - they are much less collectible. Look no further than the 2012 Villain collection....you can snag them at their original cost. Great if you missed out and want one...but not great if you invested a decade ago and would like to sell and can't break even with the new doll costs. We'll see, but I predict she (Kida) will be on ShopDisney for a while...unless they pull her for the parks.
 
Looking forward to getting an LE Kida! For a newbie-ish collector like me I'm really enjoying the larger lot sizes.

I know that has ups and downs for collectors, but for someone like me who just loves having the doll and photographing them for IG or whatever, it makes the stress of getting the doll MUCH easier on me. I don't do well with stressful releases of anything, so I'm relieved that buying the dolls this season isn't terrible, like in the past. I could never get into buy the dolls because it was absolutely too crazy to get the doll in my cart and buy it successfully. Then scalpers came along and "stole" them from collectors who love dolls (like me) and upsold them on eBay or Amazon. It was a terrible time to try to buy dolls. Just stressful...

Good question....because with Poc set as a pre-order for late January, it's not like Ariel will be out and in hand before Christmas. I have no idea, but I would guess we won't see her until close to Christmas or into the new year. But prove me wrong Disney....I'm excited to see what she looks like
 
Hello! Question, Has anyone else purchased the designer Pocahontas doll? Even though the website says it’s a preorder, tracking says she’s due to be delivered to me tomorrow. It makes me wonder if going forward the dolls will all be labeled as “preorder” but will still be delivered after purchase, just with some delay
 
That's great news, hopefully this means that the "Pre-order" status was used only in the event that they could not get the dolls in time. That would bode well for the rest of the dolls still to come out as well. I hope everyone gets their Pocahontas dolls soon, by next week even.

I heard on a YouTube video that the "Coming Soon" section of Shop Disney has been revealing pictures of the last 2 Designer dolls. Not sure if it's true? But I keep checking this page to see if Ariel pops up:

Hi! So basing this on previous releases, this is my theory:

Prior releases have come out in the second Tuesday of the month. Considering that, we’re looking at 12/14 for Ariel’s release. Pictures were put on the website approximately 10-14 days before the release. So I’m assuming 11/30 will be when pictures show up on ShopDisney.
 
If you bought a Pocahontas or Kida doll, has your shipping update been stuck in "label created" status for a while now? Originally the tracking said it would be delivered today, but that's obviously not the case since it hasn't been updated past the label created status... Not sure what happened with UPS.

I’ve been seeing people mention in various groups that Pocahontas has been showing up unexpectedly
 
Hopefully your package is on its way to you soon. I can only speak for the Pocahontas doll but yes she’s beginning to show up for those that ordered her, I just received it yesterday.

I thought It was preorder but ups sent me a label notification and it stayed in label status for a week before i was sent another notification that it would arrive the next day. Ups sent it to my Local post office who then completed the delivery to me which is strange. Im used to fedex working with Usps but not ups. In the past, any ups shipments from Disney were delivered by ups as well. I’m not sure if this is Disney’s new method to save money on shipping rates so maybe your order is currently being handed to your local post office too.

Oh that is some good news, that the dolls might actually be on the way, despite what the tracking info says. We're normally so blessed with being about to track everything from hour to hour, that when stuff like shipping statuses gets held up we get worried. :P I will keep being patient. :)
@Dprince88 More interesting changes to the shipping indeed. I have had UPS use USPS as the final hand off before, but usually that is when I order anything from Amazon. Weird to see Disney do it. Glad your Pocahontas status did finally update. It sounds like the rest of us aren't far behind in receiving our orders. :)
