DOLLS 2024 Limited Edition Dolls

Was anyone here actually able to purchase Alice? I had a number in the 200’s in the virtual queue, and Alice was already showing as sold out as soon as I entered the website a couple minutes after 8 am PT. :(

What’s even more frustrating is that there are several auctions online where sellers have multiple Alice dolls for sale when there is supposed to be a limit of 1 per person from Disney Store. :rolleyes:

The Disney Store website and virtual queue process is seriously flawed. Trying to buy one of these dolls shouldn’t be this difficult. I don’t know if I feel like even trying for any of the other dolls in this series now. I liked Alice the most out of this collection anyway.

Sorry, I just needed a place to vent where other collectors would understand! I really hope someone here was successfully able to purchase Alice.

I'm so glad that Disney made her available again. I think they knew their website was having some issues on Tuesday morning.

They don't make too many Alice dolls, and I thought the design for this one was really cute. I hope anyone else who wants her is able to buy her too while she's still available!

I was able to get her during the initial release….but not without stress. She arrives tomorrow!
 
Queen of Hearts still in stock 2 hours after release. She's not my thing, but she is unique and looks very well done. Is that blood spatter on her inside floral part of the dress??, lol Also very collectable edition size at 3450! Wish I wanted her to match my Alice, but I'm holding out for another in this set :)

FYI - Capital One Shopping has been sending me 22.5% cash back activate links specifically featuring the designer dolls. You have to have the extension installed I think, clearly it sees what I have looked at. Fingers crossed it worked for Ariel. They also sent me a notification that Alice was back in stock which also advertised the 22.5, and I see she was but was again sold out. Anyhow, I screenshot everything in case they try to pull a fast one, but I'm pretty sure based on the number of notifications I've gotten it will work. Expires 10/5/24.

The same day Gaston was released, Alice was back up for a bit. I decided to buy her cause I finally convinced myself she was worth buying (really trying to control my collection size lol). So I ordered both on 2 different orders.
Both arrived today but instead I got 2 Gastons. Just my terrible luck. Not sure I'll be getting my Alice.

Fun note, one of the gastons is #85. Ussually don't care about the number, just want a nice doll, but that's a pretty low number.

Wow, I’m so sorry that happened! Hopefully you’ll still have a chance to get your Alice. It looks like she’s been randomly going in and out of stock at different times.

The Gaston doll is very nice. That’s cool that you got a low number for him. It’s always fun to get a low number! I decided to pass on him for now, but I think this is the best face mold that’s ever been used for Gaston. I like all of the details that were incorporated into his design too. It's also great to finally see a male doll with rooted hair!

The new Mother Gothel doll is actually my 2nd favorite from this collection. I really like her red & gold color scheme.

I’m a little surprised that Ariel is still available. I thought for sure that she would have sold out by now.

17" Ariel - the less flashy version of the D23 doll - is rumored to be coming out too. I know I saw pictures somewhere (and probably posted them too from IG)

Yeah, the double Gastons was a bummer. He's a great doll but i don't need 2. So far nobody has told me Alice is out of stock, and I know companys keep a small stock of extras for situations like this, so we'll see what happens. I sent back my extra Gaston today so I should hear back sometime next week.

Agree about Gastons face. I skipped his 17in doll because the face was just really off. The Gaston and Belle set was much better but this Gaston is practically perfect. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie so I'm very perticular on their dolls. It be great if they did another 17in Gaston since it seems they mastered the 12in version.
 
If you look in the Ariel doll reviews for this release, someone said they got some random Disney Store stuff instead of Ariel. Well guess what, that happened to me too. Ordered her the day she came out, received a small box of 3 magic bands on 10/4. No receipt in box. So shady. So here is how that process goes....Contacted Disney IMMEDIATELY and they were helpful and said I had to return the wrong merch. No problem. But now I have to drive to a UPS store and it's 6pm on a Friday, so I'm gonna have to wait the weekend because nothing will move until Monday. 10/7 Return box, box arrived at destination in 2 days. Wait, wait, wait. 10/23 got fed up with waiting, so I wrote to them yesterday via chat to inquire. They said sorry and released/expedited the doll and it's arriving 10/25. Customer service was helpful the two times I reached out, but 25 day wait mistake - super annoying as they have your $ the entire time, and you have to check e-mail everyday and apparently, follow up.
So after all that, I go and buy Snow White this evening. lol. Kinda surprised these are not selling out...
 
Alice is back in low stock.

They have a lot of play line dolls and figures on sale today only, Tuesday 10-29-24
 
Well it looks like I'm not getting my Alice. Returned the extra Gaston and a couple days later got an email saying she was OoS. Probably just missed getting her. Gaston was returned Monday and it takes 2 to 3 days to process returns. Tuesdays low stock was probably the last of their Alice dolls. Oh well.

Though it makes me wonder what is going on with their shipping. I got an extra Gaston, some got random items instead of Ariel, and I was very lucky to get the Aladdin and Jasmine set, only for it to be put it in a box that barely fit it with no padding or anything. Was even luckier that there was no damage to it.

I really wish they would bring back the physical stores with 5-10 dolls in stock....

If you're near a Disney park (WDW or DLR), you could check to see if they made it to the parks.

I wish I lived near the parks, that would be so nice, lol. But I might get lucky. A close friend's parents got to Disney World all the time and I'm often invited to join them. So maybe next time I'm there, she'll be there. That's how I got the most recent 17in merida doll.

I'm not worried, sucks it happened, but I got a lot of the other dolls I wanted.
 
If anyone is interested....CapitalOne Shopping is offering 30% cash back now at DisneyStore. I bought two dolls with the 22.5% cash back and one I officially got and the other is pending (takes about a month to clear). They don't do referrals, so all I can say is sign up, get the browser extension, go look at a doll, and you will probably get an e-mail within 48 hours with the offer :)
