I won an auction on eBay for a lion king pin, ok not a rare expensive one, but I just received the packet and there was a rip in it and the pin has gone :( I ran after the postman and he's going to check the van for me but I don't hold much hope. I'm actually really upset this has never happened to me before. Not a great start to the hobby :(

That happened to me once too. The pin was just placed in a regular envelope and all I received was an empty torn envelope. I got a complete refund. Maybe you can, too!

aww no, how awful. Sorry to hear this! Hopefully it can be found, but failing that maybe all is not lost and the seller may refund you? Did they suitably package the pin in a bubblewrap envelope etc?

This was a bubble wrap one, but it had obviously been used before. Looks like someone had opened it with scissors or something :( this one was from the UK (where I am) but I'm still waiting in one from across the pond which was sent 2 weeks ago and I'm worried about that one now :(

Infact it can't be a second hand Jiffy bag as my address is written directly on it. The seller has said it was on its backing card and then wrapped in more bubble wrap. :(

sorry about your pin, I received a package last week that was opened a little and the post office told me the sorting machines can sometimes do this if the packages get caught :(

I don't know if that was just a load of babble to get me to shut up though.. hope it is resolved for you soon

The last letter I got from USA took almost 3 weeks so dont be worried yet. One letter took 4 weeks. If it takes more than 5 weeks then I would start to worry.

Oh no! That sucks... :( I don't suppose the sender insured the pin...? *wince* I'm so sorry to hear that happened, how disheartening. I know it's a long shot but I really hope it turns up :(

No it wasn't insured :( I'm going to take a walk down the road later and see if its fallen out on his rounds. Really not that hopeful though :(

Sorry to hear that,I put in a few requests for it,maybe I will get a nibble for one and then we can figure out a trade for it....but I hope you get it though

Thank you :) I don't have much to trade at the moment as I'm only just starting out. I'm going out in a min on a mission to see if its fallen out in the street somewhere. Fingers crossed!

I'm SO sorry, Jazzy...that really stinks. My husband has a leathercraft business and he makes knife sheaths (along with other things.) Someone sent their knife through the mail, my husband made a sheath for it, packaged the sheath and knife properly and sent it back (and the buyer didn't want insurance...my husband does offer it but obvioiusly charges extra.) The guy got an empty envelope and the post office basically said "too bad...you didn't have it insured...not our problem."

No luck :( might go down to the depot tomorrow and see if they've found anything. Sorry if I sound silly. It's just put a downer on an already bad day.

Are you Sarah? Only asking as a girl called Sarah posted exact same problem on the uk Disney pin group Facebook page today, hope u get it all sorted out, what a disappointment it must be for you. Xxx

:( I'm so sorry to hear about this! Are you able to go to any UK pin events? If it was from a UK Disney Store you may be able to run into it at a UK pin trading event! Best of luck to you! *hugs*

I just missed a UK event. I believe there's another in July. Hopefully I will have some traders by then, as I'm only starting out right now I don't really have any. Seller still hasn't got back to me with anything helpful.
Thanks for all the well wishes x
