All these sales games
You guys are all making this into something it's not. And FYI people do not give out their worst traders as the other prizes. I recall giving out 5-6 podms as well as nothing but wdi and DSF pins as prizes! To assume that people are being greedy is just ignorance.
It is season of giving an I think people have been more than generous allowing people the chance to win such great pins for so cheap! I don't get how anyone wouldn't want someone tohave this chance?
I wish my wife was here to moderate my thoughts as I post, but she is not, so hopefully I do not say something that may offend anyone...
First I believe that before any sub-form is established that guidelines do need to be looked at... Those of you stating gaming laws and such are the reason why they need to do this... These were intended to be fun games that give back what the players put in... But some people get butt hurt if things do not go their way or they lose... and thus start to complain...
My games have always had fair prize value for what was paid into them and often I add bonus prizes when I can... We have never kept profits from our games, in fact we have given out hundreds of pins in the 8 months that I have been a member...
When I have larger amount games, everybody wins!!! And any profits ever established are always donated to a charity... Do we have to do this?? NO!!!!! these are our pins that we purchased and often give away at prices lower than what we originally paid for them... But we do it because we feel that is what makes up happy...
When I started my Auctions, everybody copied the idea and did their own versions (Never as good as the original...lol), but they did none the less... There were complainers then too, but the MOD's did the proper thing and didn't jump the gun, they methodically thought how to best deal with the overwhellming amount of people coping my idea... Thus the DPF Auction House was formed with proper guidelines that were streamlined along the way to what is now a smooth forum and fun feature that you can only find here on DPF...
Games are fun, and yes they are a risk (a Gamble for you sinics)... but when they are run properly and fairly, everyone wins and the forum is a funner place, but when people try to abuse the idea... Well their thread sits there for days without a response... Look at the people known for fair games and see how fast their games sell out... The ones not putting up fair things will fail as their failed attempts to trade do...
Honesty and fairness are the key to games, games should have the pre-determined results sent to a Moderator prior to the game beginning for verification purposes if ever needed... But people do not and how is anyone to know that the secret PoDM that you can feel through the bubble envelope (Or Whatever special item...) is not getting sent to a friend???
I can go on, but why...??? There will always be those that complain no matter how much fun others may be having... So be it...

I was keeping on target, someone else started talking about games being illegal. Maybe thys who threw the whole thread off!I originally said a game subforum would be a great idea!
And moe +1
I've seen plenty of fair games not sell out, so to insinuate that if they're not sold out quickly, they must be unfair, isn't really accurate or fair. Just my two cents. I think part of it is just a popularity thing, and that's fine. If you want to participate in one, awesome, if not, don't. It's pretty simple

... (such as I would hate for someone disgruntled about not winning something to come back and take it out on the members and/or site.)

Actually it is not a popularity thing... If the prizes are worth playing for then the people will play unless you are just straight out dishonest and people know it... If people are not playing the game it is usually because the prizes are crap and paying $10 for crap is not really that much fun...
I have only been a member for 8 months and beeatingu has been here since July... Are you saying she has such a popularity already that her games sell out because of that??? No it is because her games kick *** and her prizes do too!!!!!!!
Our members are not dumb people and they do not need play anyone's games... they do because they are fun and the prizes are worth taking a risk for...
Woah, woah, woah. Are you calling me dishonest, and my pins crap, Moe? If you have a problem with me, then we can talk about it, but please don't attack me simply because I stated an opinion.
This is pretty much what I was thinking.
So, maybe the first step is to ask the mods/admin decide if they are willing to keep the games on the site in the first place.
If the games get a green light, then they can discuss and anounce the details.
