The "everyone gets something for their $5 or $10 entry" is probably be okay because you are getting a guaranteed something. It's basically a grab bag with only one random item. But I don't know really know about these either. I know earlier in my scrapbooking days, I used to see things on Ebay where you were bidding on a Tote or a Box filled with random goodies. Because of Ebay's rules the auctions all had disclaimers that you were bidding on the tote or decorative box ONLY, and everything inside were free.

Follow ebay's legal rules then (see rule 1)?

Get a new subforum.

(suggesting) RULES:
1. State clearly that you're buying a mail bubbler/box/[thing to mail] with free pins/goodies.
2. State clearly what each box would have (i.e. if all of them have LEs, some have LEs/WDI -whatever you decide the game prizes should be-, numbers don't really need to be given but all type of pins should be stated)
3. If a person pays, something must be given (i.e. each [thing to mail] has at least 1 Hidden Mickey/Rack/LE/PoDM)
4. 1 buy-in per user for the first 24 hours (to give people a chance to all play), then unlimited buy-ins. (MEGA SUGGESTION)
5. If the people randomize is involved with pre-fixed numbers then the prize numbers must be given to MODS (one for the new subforum?) prior to making game. (In order to make it fair and not give out big prizes to friends).
6. If there is an order of choosing, all prizes must be known so that everyone knows what they can win from being #1 to choose to #over9000 to choose their prize.

We don't know what else.

We're paying a game where we're kind of thinking we wont win a pin, but at least we get christmas stockings, so we get SOMETHING for our purchase. Either way games are fun and the chance (and hoping that you win the big item) is great.

P.S. Some people collect different things, so whatever type of pin (LE/HiddenMickey/Reveal&Conceal/Mystery) would have a different value to everyone...so if someone does a just hidden mickey game (and states so), then people can decide their own value for their buy-in and see if they're being overcharged, undercharged or paying just the right amount. For instance, most of you (and us too) would pay a good amount for a game with R/C *FAVORITE PRINCESS/Disney Girl* as the grand prize and that is considered (from our experiences) as a type of pin lesser than say a PoDM just because, in type only, PODM > mystery box pins.

I think that the only person that can have these games are Goofy Moe he was the founder. He is creative and everyone else stole his idea. People stop stealing his magic. On another note: there are people out there posting games "KNOWING" they have scrappers and fakes (not applicable to all) and stuff and my friends have been receiving scrappers and fake pins. now thats sad and rediculous. Those are illegal actions. Goofy Moe i know is fair and square but others need to really refine their games this is NOT toy story mania people.

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"

While Goofy_Moe did create them, I think it would be unfair to say nobody else can do any games of the sort. Goof will be fine even if people take his idea lol Because whenever someone imitates his game, he always has a fresh, new, completely unique and creative one ready to stay just one step ahead of the game xP

Do I think games have become a bit over saturated here lately? Yeah. However, in time they'll downsize. I don't agree with people receiving scrappers or anything, but if people received a scrapper directly from a trade or a sale I see as no different. I don't think the games increase the likelihood of scrapper or counterfeits being sent to one another...

WOW. I DO NOT remember giving people scrappers. LOL
I think I am pretty fair. guess you would not know unless you played my games ^__^
nothing personal, just when you say he is the only one that should be allowed to do these games because he is
the only creative one... pssh psssh hahaha
I agree goofy moe is a freakin game genius!

Goofy Moe you are the founder and therefore no one else has the right to steal your magical ideas. I am with you 100 percent. I support you because you are fair and square. Other pin gamers have created a bad experience for my friends where they have been receiving scrappers and fakes. Team goofy moe here.

I wish my wife was here to moderate my thoughts as I post, but she is not, so hopefully I do not say something that may offend anyone...

First I believe that before any sub-form is established that guidelines do need to be looked at... Those of you stating gaming laws and such are the reason why they need to do this... These were intended to be fun games that give back what the players put in... But some people get butt hurt if things do not go their way or they lose... and thus start to complain...

My games have always had fair prize value for what was paid into them and often I add bonus prizes when I can... We have never kept profits from our games, in fact we have given out hundreds of pins in the 8 months that I have been a member...

When I have larger amount games, everybody wins!!! And any profits ever established are always donated to a charity... Do we have to do this?? NO!!!!! these are our pins that we purchased and often give away at prices lower than what we originally paid for them... But we do it because we feel that is what makes up happy...

When I started my Auctions, everybody copied the idea and did their own versions (Never as good as the original...lol), but they did none the less... There were complainers then too, but the MOD's did the proper thing and didn't jump the gun, they methodically thought how to best deal with the overwhellming amount of people coping my idea... Thus the DPF Auction House was formed with proper guidelines that were streamlined along the way to what is now a smooth forum and fun feature that you can only find here on DPF...

Games are fun, and yes they are a risk (a Gamble for you sinics)... but when they are run properly and fairly, everyone wins and the forum is a funner place, but when people try to abuse the idea... Well their thread sits there for days without a response... Look at the people known for fair games and see how fast their games sell out... The ones not putting up fair things will fail as their failed attempts to trade do...

Honesty and fairness are the key to games, games should have the pre-determined results sent to a Moderator prior to the game beginning for verification purposes if ever needed... But people do not and how is anyone to know that the secret PoDM that you can feel through the bubble envelope (Or Whatever special item...) is not getting sent to a friend???

I can go on, but why...??? There will always be those that complain no matter how much fun others may be having... So be it...

Lets file legal action bc RECEIVING fake pins is violating the Pin Code of Ethics. you know i have a legal credentials so lets consult.

Sadly, I will have to share my experience with these games. I played a game a while ago and paid 10 dollars. I didn't win and receive a fake pin. Yes a fake pin. I was very upset. I spoke to the person and they said I wasn't able to get another pin. It was very upsetting :(. I will never play another game again. I hope this doesn't happen to anybody. I agree that there should be a sub forum. Or maybe another forum called Disneygameforums. Maybe other games can be created. :) thanks for listening!:) it's a super how you doin idea.

I do agree with you, and I would say I'm on Team...well, honestly, I'm right on the fence between both sides.

Goofy's games are always extremely fair, and while I have wanted to enter one for myself soon, none of the prizes have been to me liking, so I have decided to let others who would sell their limbs for those pins get a fair shot at what they want instead of me taking up a spot from someone clearly more wanting and deserving.

However, I don't think I can agree with your insinuation that other people besides Goofy are unfair. You can read it in Goofy's post because he is 100% COMPLETELY CORRECT! Those games that don't offer fair fun always sit for days without filling up, those that are fair always fill up fast.

As a quick example, beeatingu who posted above I believe to be extremely fair, perhaps getting close to if not rivaling Goofy's games in terms of fairness and opportunity of the games. Last night, beeatingu's second game (while being smaller in number than most of Goofy's) completely sold out in 40 minutes flat. You can check the results of the first game, everyone was satisfied (you should see the raving posts). This only proves that Goofy is right, those that are fair will be judged by the forum members as fair and fill out quickly, while those not so will get the opposite treatment. I believe someone who sends out a fake pin in a game should be put on a list so other know that they are risking their money when entering one of their games, but I don't think generalizing to "everyone that isn't Goofy" is fair because those that are honestly trying to have great games like every single one of Goofy's won't have the opportunity.

P.S. I'm Team Edwar-ugh, I mean Peet- err...I'm that middle ground.

I agree with you that Goofy Moe is awesome and completely fair. However I don't think it's your place to say who should and should not be posting games. If you received scrapers from someone's game or feel they're being unfair. It's simple
you don't have to play.U don't like the game? Don't play. If you want a successful game then make sure it's a pin worth playing for. U want pointers? Ask Goofy Moe, the genius behind these fun games! =)

Eric, I'm running a game and while I think you're sweet, I don't think you have the right to insinuate that anyone who is not Goofy_Moe is sending people scrappers and fake pins. What a horrible thing to say, and a horrible generalized statement. That's not sexy OR magical. :( I asked Moe for pointers before starting my game, and I consider his answer to be him giving me his blessing. So no, I did not 'steal' his idea, nor am I stealing his magic. Thanks.

I cared enough to reply to your comment because your a sweetheart and yes the games are fun but "those" that are not playing fair should not be participating. So sorry i didnt mean it to offend anyone i just thought this was all a carried away post and my humor was taken seriously. so i hope were still friends i love u echo ur a treasure.

never did i mention your name on any of the post. I was referring to those posting games "knowing" they have scrappers and fakes. so if you dont have those in YOUR game there is simply nothing to worry about. I didn't realize how much resentment you truly had. very sad.

i was getting upset because you said he should be the only one allowed to do games!

LOL I have so much resentment: that I do games to give people the chance to win something nice ha.

Of course we're still friends hon :) It's easy to make a generalized statement without thinking about the full implication of it. I'm sorry Diego received a fake pin, I hope he contacted a mod to help with the situation. There are many of us who would NEVER knowingly trade away, sell, etc. a scrapper or fake pin, and check carefully to make sure that we don't. I'm trying to run my first game but it's failing horribly *lol* I don't have the best pins in the world to sell, and I don't have any fantastic PODM scenes because they've either been traded away or are on hold for a certain someone. I think I'm going to end up canceling my game until I can get some better pins or something. I don't know, I'm tired and I'm rambling.

darn it... i hope i can send back all the scrappers i just got. i was going to do a scrapper bingo game.. u atleast get a scrapper... mayb if your lucky i will send u 2 or 3. or i could give away that box of R/C pins i found a while back.

i love all the games... i dont even trade or cllect anymore... i just go to the game page.
