So i was able to make a trade for a peter pan PODM with peter in it. I sent my pin (LM PODM) i know it arrived and the traders has yet to respond to any of my emails and the pin has yet to arrive it has be about two weeks now. im not sure what 2 do next..any advice.

Oh man, that sucks. Just keep emailing them until they HAVE to message you back. lol.Really hope it gets to you, having a scene of peter would be awesome!

Did you contact your trading partner ?? If you do not get a response for few days, you might want to contact Pinpics andf file a complaint. Fwd the trading e-mail to info@pinpics.com along with your DC#.

A similar thing happened to dis22. He had to file a complaint and only then the other party responded.

It happened to me too and it took me 6 weeks to get my pin back.

Best of luck!

And this is why I'm so hesitant to trade anymore. The hobby is being ruined by crooks, thieves, and scam artists. The Trade Auctions have convinced traders that they can get almost anything for any pin and so far that seems to be true. I'm out of trading for a while unless I know the trader and know the pins. Otherwise, it's PTN or in person at the parks.

Since the trade happened through Pin Pics, I'd suggest that you contact the Pin Pics staff and ask them to help you sort out the trade. Failing a successful resolution there, the only thing I can advise you to do is consider filing mail fraud charges (but I wouldn't make that choice lightly as it can result with the other party going to prison).

I'm sorry you had a trade gone wrong and I wish you the best of luck getting it sorted.

yeh sadly i am also getting frustraded with a pretty big trade that will be ONE MONTH on the 11th. The person is on here and used to be on constantly and when we were negotiating i got PMs all the time. Now i have contacted this person with my concerns, it took a while to here from them and they did say they mailed it a week ago and that was on the 30th, so they mailed about the 23rd from over seas. Two other folks from europe mailed that week and i have those pins already for days.....i sent another PM NOTHING.......it stinks cause i actually went to WDW and spent my own money as a nice gesture and got 5 pins for them -1 was an LE1000--traded instead of $--so i am waiting on 3 LE pins. really bummed. Maybe the mail is slow cause of the Oylmpics? Maybe they were wrong on when they mailed and didnt want to admit it..i choose to stay positive, but it stinks. People should mail very soon after negotiations..if not that day! I always do that to which many of you can attest. Dont pin trade it you dont have the time. If your only free on Sat, than make it clear, thats when you mail. I have folks do that and it always puts me at ease. I have another pin out that i paid for and i havnt seen it yet nor a DC or any communications that it is on its way. Iguess i need to slow down on trading and be a bit more picky. I do have a whole write up and i just added that i wont trade unless you use a DC#
i am dont complaining now.

Just a tip for future trades on pin pics, I never send mine out until I get a tracking number from the person I'm trading with .

I don't ever use a tracking # unless the pin is valued at over $25. That would make me really upset if you did not send my pin until after I sent yours.

And OP, I'm sorry this happened. I hope your pin turns up but I would also contact pinpics for assistance.

I agree with Gillian. I do use tracking numbers, but unless it's discussed and agreed to, it's not okay to intentionally send your pin after the other person! That's called holding pins hostage and in my book is a no-no.

I'm sorry this happened to you! I made a trade within the last month and the other person has received their pin, but I've yet to receive theirs. They've keep in contact at least, but it's still disappointing. Even if they send my pin back, I still paid money to ship them my pin in the first place. =/

Dawny, I can attest that I threw basj under the bus in June from The Netherlands . The end of June , I got my pin , postmarked 5/12 . Now I'm waiting for the second pin to magically appear and I'm sending it back to him, if and when it does . I wrote a public apology on the forum . Never give up .

I should have made it clear, I only do that on pin pics because I've been picked over . Members here I mail right away , but always send with DC . This way you can track the pin and its only $0.80 more for peace of mind .

And FYI and i highly encourage everyone with a printer to get a paypal account and use their online shipping. It is a few steps the first time and then it is easy! I am telling you. Choose padded envelope from drop down. I have found 2-3oz is the same price and it covers the envelope, wrapping and 3 OE pins or 2 3D or think pins and then for every pin i add another oz. I HAVE NEVER HAD a package sent back for wrong weight. No i dont have a scale. It comes with instant DC# that you can email or PM to folks immediatly. $1.64 is starting price and a huge 8oz pack cost me 2.30 Trading is funner when shipping is cheaper and easier!

And you can just send them right from your house??

I used to gripe at grumpy74 he's send even hidden mickey's for almost $4 I'd tell him no DC's I also convinced him it was cheaper to buy HM on ebay because we were blowing SOOO much on postage it wasn't until yesterday we figured out how to do do the whole paypal thing, so now he will be trading away happily. But I too rarely invest in DC's and have had to replace a pin or two (once the lost pin came back) but keep your hopes up maybe something happened and you'll hear from them shortly. Although I will tell you, I heard a guy and his mom brag about how on their way out of pinpics they made a bunch of big trades after a long history of little trades and moved. That scared me for like a year, but its not the norm...

AWE MAN< Im so sorry Dawny, your such a wonderful trader, to have this happen to you or anyone else for that matter, is just horrible, im sad, I hope there was just a delay and you get your pins? what pin were you supposed to get back?

This is how I do all mine, I thought everyone did! Except I do mine from work, but other than that, same thing.

You can also get Avery labels that are the size & shape of the shipping labels that print, so that you don't have to tape them on. Those are a bit expensive though, and kind of annoying because it's two labels to a sheet but I haven't figure out how to make paypal *not* print the receipt part on the bottom half, so it wastes a label every time. (USPS.com lets you print without the receipt part, but they won't let you do First Class online, so I only use USPS.com when I want to send by Priority Mail.)

I love using paypal shipping labels. So inexpensive, and the delivery confirmation is automatically included for free. I almost always bring them down to the post office just to make sure they are manually scanned, but dropping them in the mailing boxes works as well (they just don't always show up as fast).

I'm so sorry to hear about your trading issues, dawny and kpchow. It is just absolutely sickening when someone betrays your trust and ends up not holding up their end of the deal- especially after you give them benefit of the doubt time and time and time again. My trade issue happened in the middle of June- I sent my pin the day we agreed on the trade and they received it one or two days afterwards. My pins never came and communication has all together ceased about 2 weeks ago. Really took the fun out of trading for a while for me >.<

I hope you guys get your pins back!! <3
