Disneyland® Resort Wristband Guidelines:
Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers the opportunity to purchase the Piece of Disney Movie History limited edition pin. Wristbands for pins will be distributed behind Rainforest Cafe® / in front of ESPN Zone® beginning at 7am, while supplies last. At 8am wristband distribution will move to Disney Pin Traders, while supplies last. We kindly ask that Guests do not queue up behind Rainforest Cafe® until 6am. Limit One Wristband per Guest.

"In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line. At time of wristband distribution, we ask that you please select a location to purchase the pin: Little Green Men Store Command, Fly n' Buy or Disney's Pin Traders. Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise locations until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Pin limits will apply. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. Subject to change without notice"

I wonder how they know who is holding spots in line though? any how i hope this release goes as smooth as possible..
 
Why would you show up monday to hold a place in line for a Thursday... oh wait Friday, release???????? Folks will show up day beofre if they do line up early. Monday must have been a joke.

I wonder if they will enforce the no line up thing. it says "kindly ask"... not "you may not!"

I have a feeling this is going to turn out better than expected, which won't be hard since everyone is expecting the worst! People purely motivated by profit will realize there's more money to be made camping out at Best Buy. DTD might be a little extra crazy due to all the block outs for the parks though.
 
I think if you wait outside the Rain Forest Cafe for a week, your concern should not be for getting a pin or 10, but rather for being arrested on suspicion of robbery. I mean seriously, you stand outside a place for that long and it looks like you're casing the joint.

Sadly once again I'm SOL and won't be getting any PODMs. Sucks being a victim of circumstance, or rather the wrath of Universal. Have fun camping out everyone!

And I agree with bombardon3, you'll make more money selling your Best Buy wristbands for TVs and Laptops than Disney pins, even if they are PODMs.

WDW is still on for Thanksgiving, as per tonight's PTN, via the pin team, or whatever they are called. They were not aware of the wristband distribution wording in the listing. Angie? said she would check on it, as that was news to her and that we haven't done wristbands for these pins all year.

I'm glad they left it on Thanksgiving. I'm set and ready to go.
 

DLR does the wristbands. not WDW
 

I hope this is true so while I keep visiting the park for fun I could point and laugh...

If you look closer, you'll see it says DLR. For some reason Disney has been putting the DLR wristband info on the WDW release page the past few times. It's an error, we aren't having wristbands at WDW.
 
Roxanne, Please refer to post #65, where in there does it say DLR?? Whether or not they DO pass out wristbands remains to be seen on the 22nd for you guys, All I did was prove that it is Stated for WDW that they will be. I even double checked the WDW listing right now. So please show me where to look carefully to see that it says DLR on the WDW listing????
 
May be willing to up a few, depending on the craze. However I will charge more than cost due to high demand. If I do decide to pick them up, I will have a limited number and will only allow 1 per person. First come, first serve basis.

Me me me (depends on cost). starry_solo's my sister Does that mean we can each get 1 (2 total), or just one total (same household)?

That would crack me up!! xD If people lined up that early, I would think that by the time the release date came that they'd be too frozen and numb to even remember why they were there :rofl:
