hey guys! looks like they are going to delay the next princess...hopefully this is for the best, and everyone has a fair shot of getting one!!!

Due to the overwhelming demand for the Disney Princess Designer Doll Collection, DisneyStore.com experienced a system malfunction and the limited edition Snow White doll was oversold. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and recognize that this did not meet the high quality guest service that our Guests have come to expect from Disney Store. To ensure a Magical guest experience in the future, we have delayed the release of the next Designer Doll, as we reevaluate our process to ensure that all guests have a fair opportunity to purchase these highly coveted dolls. Please check blog.disneystore.com and Facebook.com/disneystore and we will provide an update on the new release schedule by Friday, September 23. On behalf of the Disney Store team, we thank you for your continued support.

WOW! I gotta call BS on that comment. Ridiculous. DS has high quality guest services?? LOL They said that like this never happens. I can see getting the reject email now for sure.
on another note... called to have a chat with my buddy out at the ds today after lunch. He said it was horrible this morning. By 8:30 there were 30 people in line. He went out to hand out tickets. The first 5 people spoke for all 8 dolls they had. Then some woman comes barging into the line saying they were supposed to be holding her FOUR dolls which caused a huge uproar. He quickly shot her down and sent her on her way. People were mad. Those first 5 people who were in line... guess what they did with the 8 dolls. They sat outside the mall with them selling them all to everyone who missed them b/c of them. He was ticked to find out this happened and said next week when they show up he will ask them to leave and refuse to sell them the dolls. So glad he was on top of this. He said he could not stand to see what was going on over these dolls and he wanted to make sure they really got in collectors hands. I told him the only other one I am after is Rapunzel. He said to be in line at 8:30 for her and he will do his absolute best to get her in my hands and he hated they could not hold them any longer for the people he knew really wanted to collect them and not sit outside the mall selling them. I am so glad I did not go down there this morning. I think I would have been in tears to see all that, esp after a night of no sleep.
Hi everyone!
Does anybody know what; closed but not shipped means on the Order history?! I stayed up all night to complete the order after 2 crashes I was able to orde and received mu first Order confirmation just not a shipping confirmation yet?! I realized that Disney did not deduct any fees from the account yet there is a hold for $0.00 does that mean I will not be getting my order?

It is a shame that items that should bring so much joy seem to bring so much anguish in trying to obtain them. Well, let's hope the Disney Store does get their act together for the second half of this doll series, though other than limiting the orders to 1 doll per order (which would only slow down the rapid sell out and does not really eliminate the core problems of the existing issues), I really don't see how they can "fix" the problem. The servers will still get overloaded. The hoarders will still place multiple orders. And we, the collectors, will still have to consider ourselves "lucky" to even get a doll. Though I am all for there being a limit to the number of dolls issued per household or credit card, they would really have to come up with a fancy program to quickly identify and elimiate those multiple orders. I just don't see that happening. They can't even control how distribution is going on at the retail stores with less than 20 dolls at a time.
Any thoughts? Maybe if we, the consumers, can find some alternate solutions and present them to the Disney Store, maybe they could implement those ideas? They said that an update would happen sometime by this Friday. Here is our chance to have a voice.
Perhaps they could make this thread a "member Only" thread....that would keep the sharks out for at least a while???
