Called my store. She had no idea what I was talking about and suggested I check the facebook, lol. But she did say that if it was "super top secret" she wouldn't know. So. The mystery deepens.

How would we talk to each other without alerting them? (serious question because I do understand your concern). I'd rather be "in-the-know" and have other collectors "in-the-know" than have everyone keep anything they know to themselves in an effort to slow down the scalpers. If nobody told me anything I'd probably miss releases I really wanted - I'm sure I'm not the only one in that position. I wouldn't be on the ball at the exact right moment and probably some scalpers who compulsively check for all sorts of things to scalp would be the majority to get the dolls. That would take me right out out Limited Edition collecting.

I totally agreed with you. I think the scalpers must be more resourceful and sensitive than us. If we don't share the info already known to scalpers among real collectors (maybe limited to a small group like this forum), the only consequence is we are helping the scalpers.
 
urgh, seriously? seriously?

no offense to frozen but geez is it going to overshadow this cindy release if he is actually getting handed out on the same day.

I guess more people found the hidden link on disneystore.co.uk, because the Hans I found was a "Special Edition", too. And see? I wasn't lying! ^.^

I have the exact same position on this subject as you. :) I'm a lot happier about collecting now that people seem to be a bit more open about the links and store codes and whatnot, because when I started and the hysteria over the Pink Aurora pre-order was in full swing none of the seasoned collectors that confirmed she'd be released in the first place and other details her posted any pictures, links or any tips to actually get her. Disney Pin Forum as a whole is much nicer than any of the group pages I'm with on FB in a lot of respects, but one of the top reasons is really that on this site people in the know aren't hesitant to let everyone else be in the know as well. :)

But that said, I don't really know how we could all theoretically keep scalpers in the dark about Hans, especially if they are all waiting to purchase the Cinderellas that morning anyway and he shows up on their screen as well. If people find out anything more about him I really really hope they're not shy about posting it, though it seems from a lot of the earlier posts people are already happy to let others know what's happening. :) But to me at least it seems better to let a large group of people get Hans (even if there's a few scalpers in the mix) then have everyone miss out because of a no-link/no-post issue.

I don't plan on getting Hans (He is honestly one of my least favorite Disney villains), but I would love to see what he looks like. I feel like they could make a really beautiful doll out of him!
 
I'd really like a Hans doll! I got the most recent Frozen ones and I love them so much, and I agree that Hans could make a really beautiful doll.

I'm new to this forum and Disney collecting in general, but just to weigh in on the scalper thing, I don't really think there's any way to avoid them really. They want what they want, and it's the same in all different collectible markets. I think that we should keep sharing any information we get with each other, because if we don't then the real collectors who aren't in the know for whatever reason may miss out and the scalpers may get even more, you know? That's happened to me a couple times.

I didn't hear about the BH6 dolls! I don't know about GoGo and Hiro, but I'd love a Honey Lemon personally!
 
Sweetie, it does say you just joined this month so of course.

Here's the deal- On the first page of the BH6 Merchandise, it says that they were confirmed but no pictures were ever brought up. I am dying for a Tadashi LE (He would be the SGT. Calhoun equivalent) but it does seem unlikely.

As for scalpers, I've never had to but I AM NOT afraid to have to go BGC on one and drag, punch or take one out. Especially in the Disney Store SF line, there be these ones that come at you foul when you ask a simple question. It teaches me NOT to trust anyone in the line when it's LE Pre-Order and Pick-Up day. Ugh, I was in line for one 2-pack of Frozen classic dolls to keep in the box and this creepy old guy was practically licking me and rubbing it in that he is scalping. I was first in line though so like I gave a ****. It felt like when Patrick told Spongebob the case was so close (to over) he could almost taste it and he proceeded to lick a Sponge-sicle.
 
I'd be interested to see what Hans looks like. I just so happen to be in NYC on Cindy release day and was planning to get in line for a friend in case she misses the doll online, but I may get Hans for myself if he fits in nicely with the dolls I have. Kristoff sadly just wasn't doing it for me! So if anyone is willing to share me the picture it would save me taking a Hans spot that could go to someone else (or I could get him for one of the collectors in my little Disney/Frozen group - who I know do not scalp as we only sell at retail)
