Today my little sister got the PIN 80965 DLP - Rapunzel in the mail all the way from Paris, and I was stunned at how nice the pin is in person. It was one of those pins that she wanted, but I just never felt like spending the money on it since it is an OE and it usually sells for a lot. I figured that it would be small and underwhelming. Holy cow, I was mistaken. That pin is easily one of the nicest Rapunzel pins I've seen and the details on it are beautiful. My little sister was stoked to add it to her Tangled collection, and it was selling for a really reasonable price on ebay. For anyone that is on the fence about it, DO IT! You definitely won't regret it at the right price.

So here's my question (I hope it hasn't already been asked in another thread): What is a pin that you were hesitant about trading for/buying, but were pleasantly surprised by it when you saw it in person? And if so, which pin in particular was it?

As much as I appreciate the site, sometimes the pictures on pinpics do not do the respective pins justice. Sometimes you need to actually see the pin in person to win you over

There've been a few. Off the top of my head...
This pin I wasn't hesitant about, it just wasn't a particular most wanted... I had the opportunity to get a Maleficent & Diablo pin, and I didn't have any, so I got it...

Pin 72716: DLR - Walt's Classic Collection - Sleeping Beauty - Maleficent and Diablo

...and in person it's SO BEAUTIFUL! The green background is shimmery, the spread of Diablo's wing is really gorgeously rendered... I hadn't planned on it being an absolute keeper until I saw it.

The Designer Snow White pin, actually. I did that co-op a little while back and when the set showed up here I was kinda floored by that one. I'd liked the art... but didn't think it was that exciting till I got it.
Designer Mulan was the same way... it was the first one I ever got, and the first I ever saw in person. I had no idea it would be so big!

This one!Pin 73484: HKDL - Princesses - Ariel, Aurora and Belle

The picture on pinpics is just horrible, but its a REALLY beautiful pin in person. The background is a mint-ish green And looks sorta like the backgrounds on the princess reveal conceal pins. Its so pretty!

I have the same pin 80965, I was shocked at how big it was and just gorgeous. I wear it on my lanyard at DLR and the CM's always compliment me on the pin.

Wall-E Marquee was one of our very first pins where we said "WHOOOAA" when got it. Its HUGE!! Also, the DLR Opening Day Tangled Pin is waaay nicer in person than it is on pinpics!

I was surprised by the DSF pin trader's delight Russell pin (90121). I liked it a lot when I first saw it but what surprised me was how much I loved it when I had it in hand!

This pin is EPIC. I'm actually turning one that is broken into jewerly! Because it's so pretty!

I recently started collecting the original princesses and I had to have Pin 74835 Walts Classic Collection- Snow White when I saw it. It looked pretty online but it is the most beautiful pin I own. I didn't notice the light blue background sparkled until I got it in the mail. I am seriously in love with this pin.
