Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
the figures are the busy book ones, i just popped them in a capsule and threw glitter at it

I was on the fence but went ahead and purchased the snowglobe and I am very happy with it! I dont know of a recording but I could try to make one if someone doesnt beat me to it. I find the snowglobe very beautiful in person, and it just has a little crank music box inside, but Im happy I took the plunge.

I bookmarked the page because I thought maybe I would want to go back and get it later. It's really cute:
http://www.disneystore.com/anna-and-elsa-blanket-frozen/mp/1344179/1000327/

It's been showing up as Sold Out for a few days now. I was surprised too... but I hope they get more in.

AWWH! So cute ^_^! I have the Baby Pegasus version in a blanket and he's adorable!

I have that Pegasus!! I absolutely adore him!! All of the Disney Parks baby plush are insanely cute.

I was able to find Colorwindpainter an Anna doll after work but I got there too late to get Elsa. If anyone can help her find one that'd be great!

That blanket is gorgeous! Another thing to add to my shopping list as my wallet cries.

Disney really did not handle this release well at all. I'm shocked to say the least. Were it not for some last minute help from my mom I wouldn't have gotten mine. Disney knows better, they seriously do. There's no excuse for this. Even though I got mine I still fully intend to send in some comments about this because it's just not right. Scalpers or not - The Little Mermaid release went better than this and that's just doesn't sound right to me.

You are not crazy, I ordered one, it should arrive for me this Friday. But I had no idea it's not available anymore since I placed my order over a week ago.

Guys.. I need to vent.. something shitty happened today.. please scroll down if you don't want to hear me vent cause it has nothing to do with the dolls but with frozen :'(

So.. All of my life, I've been hiding the fact that I love animated movies because a guy can't like animated movies. Well, a couple of months ago, I decided that I will no longer hide it.
You don't know how hard it is for a Middle Eastern 19 yr old straight guy to admit that he likes animated movies.
So for the past few months, I've been getting **** from everyone. My family, my friends, and even strangers. I remember my parents and siblings getting mad at me for buying Disney shirts and for watching Disney movies and listening to disney songs. My sister even goes as far as to hate Brave because I was obsessed over the movie. But the straw that broke the camel's back happened today..
I was sitting in class and I was talking to my friend and I told him that the excitiment for frozen is killing me. Suddenly, this random guy is like "Is that that kids movie?" and I responded by saying "Yes, It's the animated movie". He then says "Dude, would you keep it down? You don't have to embarass everyone around you!"

WTF was that? Why is it so bad for me to like animated movies when other people are obsessed over sports or about games that are full of prostitues?

He then proceeded to tell me to be careful when I go to the movie, cause I'm going alone and I'm a guy!

When I told my family that I'd be going alone to Disney World cause the last time i went with them i couldn't explore the entire place (They got lazy and we ended up skipping Animal Kingdom (Big Lion King fan here) and Epcot!) my parents stopped talking to me and are still pissed off. My sisters don't bring it up anymore because they get upset too.
I know it's not about me spending money, because I am spending money that I have earned by working myself to sickness. working the crazy shifts when no one wants them. I saved up for a year and a half and then I finally decided that it is time for me to take a vacation froma very stressful schoold year!
The only person who has been comftrable with me liking frozen and disney and my trip to disney is my best friend. She isn't excited about frozen at all, but she is enjoying seeing me freak out about it because I AM HAPPY! That is why yesterday I ended up getting her both Anna and Elsa. She put up with me for the past month and didn't complain once! It's sad when there's only 1 or 2 people who like you the way you are, in a world full of 7 billion people.

I am sick and tired of this treatment. I'm seriously thinking of going back to conceling it all within.

I am sorry about venting.. but I failed my quiz cause I was pissed off about what that idiot said.

Sorry to hear about that, by the sounds of it you really have a lot of judgement placed on you which is not really fair. I am not sure if it is a cultural thing for you but I have never heard of a guy liking animated movies being a bad thing? I have so many friends who watch Anime's and animated movies and they are all guys. Also with the blurred lines between animation and CGI wouldnt that mean that movies like Oz and Avatar not be allowed? As a majority of those movies were filmed with a predominant use of CGI. I have friends who love Toy Story or Cars and others who actually like Disney animated movies and they are straight and they just like the movies because they are feel good movies with a nice story to it (compared to some of the other animated movies that are just being released to please kids).

So try not to let it get to you, sometimes people like to pass judgement because it is easier to put someone else down to make oneself feel better rather than actually working on one's own faults to make them a better person.

The world is full of idiots but pretending to be someone you are not is not going to make your life any easier. The people in your immediate vicinity don't understand because its not their interest. I had many years of collecting fantasy items and dolls and having only one or two good friends who "got me". The people in my life who matter understand now that I'm 30 that I'm a collector, Its a part of who I am, its not a phase I'm going through or something I will outgrow. It started early on in childhood with dinkie figures, barbies and comic books and over the years my passions may have shifted but collecting and being passionate about the things I enjoy are something I will always do and be. You have one awesome friend now and at 19 in school your world is very limited to your family and peers. But in a few years time you will be on your own, you will meet new people and trust me there are allot of people who will GET IT and connect and love and appreciate you for who you are. Hang in there! and don't let idiots who box themselves up to fit into a societal norm dictate who YOU will be. Its your life live it and love it!!!.

oh these good ol gender roles and labels that society imposes on us, are looming their ugly ways once again! I know you've probably heard, "don't worry about and just be yourself!" However, it's hard when you let yourself be vulnerable, especially around people that you should be allowed to be yourself around. Thankfully, now that I'm older, I'm 32 BTW, I don't care what anyone thinks of me, as long as I'm happy. That's something that will come in time. It's nice that you have a close friend to be yourself with, surround yourself with other positive people that will compliment you, instead of bring you down. There's no reason to feel bad for liking animated films, they are a work of art!! And honestly, there's nothing wrong with what you like, it's the other people's insecurity......good luck!! And don't let someone have so much control over you that you mess up on a quiz! Just brush it off

@ lordofanime, I am truly very sorry for the pain and suffering you went through today. It is not fair that you had to experience this type of judgement. Honestly, I do not even understand why this is even a big deal. Never in my life have I heard of people judging other because they enjoy animated cartoons. I know plenty of males who enjoy different types of cartoons and it is not something they get picked on for. My advice is to just ignore them and be true to who you are. You do not have to change who you are or what you enjoy in order to be accepted or feel good about yourself. Hiding it all in will only make you feel worse in the long run. Some people just need to put others down in order for them to feel good about themselves. Once again, so sorry you had a rough day, but you always have your pals on the boards to talk about this stuff with

The world is full of stupid people.... I know how you feel, trust me! I'm a girl but I love all the "guy" things. I'm overly obsessed about comics and collecting figures and I work at a collectibles shop with all guys. I get harrassed at work by customers all the time and talked down to because supposedly I'm not suppose to know anything about my job or comic interests. So dumb with stereotypes.... I know plenty of guys who love animated movies, my boyfriend being one of them. Don't let dumb people with their insecurities keep you from enjoying what you love. It's none of their damn business what you enjoy in your free time. They don't like it they can just keep to themselves and mind their own business!

Alright, has anyone found pictures yet comparing the Harrods set next to the 2500 LE set? I'm especially curious about Anna's hair and freckles.
If you go to the Disney Store and look up 17" Anna, there are pictures below the main picture. Scroll through and you see close-up of her hair from behind. No freckles on shoulders.

Even better, drj1828 has up pics of the solo Anna. http://www.flickr.com/photos/68105287@N03/

Don't worry about what anyone says if they pass judgement. As you get older, you learn this!!! My husband is all about the animated movies and collecting the toys released for them!!! SERIOUSLY!!! Our two boys must think we are the coolest parents ever, as our home, every room, is filled with toys. My husband and I love Wreck It Ralph!!! It is a fantastic animated movie in so many ways and yes, we have collected many of the toys. Am I showing our age yet? LOL!!! (Mid 35+) My husband even got me on the doll collecting bandwagon. I had never even considered it. He gets more excited about staying up late to buy them than I do! As for animated movies, he will not miss one!!! He is always the first to let me know which ones he intends for us to watch. ) My point - He was the football jock and has no shame in letting everyone know he takes interest in animated movies, toys, doll collecting, etc. (We had to make up our Christmas wish list for family already and he added a Zelf Lil' D to his list. Too funny!!!) Keep your head up!

I'm 19 and male as well, so I can understand your frustration to some point, though our situations are different. It is easier said than done when you are told not to let it worry you, but when people pass judgement on others it is really because they are so bored with their own lives that they have to focus on others to remind themselves what makes them "better." However, if you like animated films and can be proud of it, good for you! Although I've never heard of people thinking animation was only for children, I can only imagine how hard that would be. Just be true to yourself and others will either come around or leave, but that will be their own choice. Luckily, you have a whole forum full of support to remind you there are hundreds of others who are just like you! Sometimes I feel lonely whenever people say things like "The movie looks OK, but I'm not sure how it will turn out" because I just want to squeal and show them every possible thing to get them excited for it, or when they say "those dolls are pretty, but what is the point?" And I feel like crying and trying to explain to them the stories behind me getting them and how much they mean to me and so many other people, and that they are more than just something pretty with no point, but I have to realize that I don't need to justify my happiness to others. And then I remember there are other people across the world who come on here every night to geek out about the same things I want to, and that is literally such a cool concept. I'm sure when we all first for into this we all felt a little "out of place" because of people's comments or what we thought might be frowned upon, but it is so awesome to have everyone here as a support system (and obsession feeders...) to get you through the day! Gender roles still suck in this day and time and I find that the people who aren't as "progressive" like to keep the appearance that things that don't fit social norms "aren't cool", but honestly just do what makes you happy because we're all only on this giant rock floating through space for so long, right?

@lordofanime: I'm a 20 year old male as well and I also love Disney to death and I'm a Disney doll collector. I totally get you, I'm not open with my other dude friends about my love for Disney and dolls. But we have amazing examples that some of our favorite Disney characters have taught us:

With Mulan, Ariel, Belle and Merida we learned about doing what we feel is the right thing for us even though it's against the Status Quo in society or even your parents´ will. Rapunzel taught us that we have to persue our dreams and aspirations in life, even if we have to escape from our Mothers to do so, lol.

And as Elsa would say: "Let it go!...I don't care what they are going to say!"

In the words of Elsa, 'Let It Go' and surround yourself with people that empower! It might seem hard now but it gets better and stay positive!

Thanks Guys!!!

This just made my shitty day!! You guys are the best! I'm whipping up a surprise with someone in the forum here to keep y'all occupied until the next LE release! So look out for that!

And seriously. You guys are awesome!! Thank You Thank You Thank You!! T_____________T
