Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
had a bad night, overslept and missed the dolls. so bummed to hear they are still online in Europe and sold out here.

Im so angry, I finally got to customer services and was told that the stores shouldn't be selling it for £60 so its there fault, she said looking at my account I managed to use a discount code and should consider myself lucky that it worked.

That is just utterly cheeky of them to say that! Especially since the discount was compensation for them messing up. I really don't want to have anything to do with DS again. I'm certainly not buying tomorrow's Little Mermaid pins anymore.

I KNOW! I was like it still cost more than it should have even with a discount code! and I got it because you messed up my last order so bad!!

Sorry to interrupt doll talk but this has been bothering me for a while- did Disneystore.com not have a fleece Frozen blanket at one point? I remember looking at one for like $30-40 that was fairly nice (I think it was released with the bedding) and the past few days I thought I might get one, but I can't find it anywhere! Did it sell out or was it removed or am I crazy and dreaming up random Frozen products?!

I found this one

Maybe the blanket you saw is distributed by different sources, not from the disney store. For example there is a whole range of mattel disney dolls and other merch carried by supermarkets and normal toy stores (not the disneystore)
...Or maybe there was one at DS and now it's gone I'm sorry can't be sure

*edit* ah wait maybe it was this

That's the cost for shipping, as I recall.

My Elsa & Anna came up to $217+ (some sort of change) which is weird because my county's sales tax is only 8% so it should be $216. I guess we will see when the final bill shows up!

Yes I quoted shipping in that. Like I said, when I'm after something important on DS I don't bother with putting in the shipping code. It just slows me down xD.

they also had Frozen mousepads for a week and then pulled them off the site. I wanted that blanket, and I only look at DS.com for merch, so I knew right away that you werent imagining it!

YES it was that one!!! What happened to it? I find it hard to believe that they sold out of those already. But thank you for proving I am not dreaming it up!

I can see the bed set but the blanket does not show up on search on the disney store.
Hmm! Surely it wont be sold out or anything because with the film out most ppl will only just be starting to buy frozen merch.
*unrelated to frozen* while looking at blankets I saw this and it MELTED MY HEART I MUST HAVE HIM OMG http://www.disneystore.com/disneys-...-and-personalized-blanket/mp/1254663/1000267/

That is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional of her to say that!!!!!!! Disney Store UK need to sort themselves out. How many more angry facebook messages do they need before they actually step up and change their act :banghead:

AWWH! So cute ^_^! I have the Baby Pegasus version in a blanket and he's adorable!

Same here, hubby in NJ, I in FL and neither of us could not get them. It kept saying item not available at this time. Just wouldn't reload. Hubby went too our DS at 5 AM, claiming he didn't get them, but he is playing Santa, too. LOL
If not there is always ebay.

Pegasus in a blanket?! That sounds too cute! The Dumbo one is also really cute- I was debating getting a Dumbo baby girl outfit for my sister since she's expecting but thinking on it, she was kinda scared of Dumbo when we were little lol so I might pass on it. I'm wondering if they have the blankets in some of the larger stores? Not that I really need anymore Frozen merch or blankets, but I liked that it had the same artwork as on the mugs.

@Agent- that is really really low of them. I know I would have been fuming if they raised the price by that much in the North America dolls, especially since it's now holiday season and lots of people have gifts to buy. I'm a little disappointed with them with this launch, the dolls are really well done, but for some reason they feel the need to release a version of them with more gems/embroidery for like 4x the cost and now the UK gets a huge price hike? They must be getting greedy this year, I hope a bunch of consumers complain and they refund the extra £20. More of the NA consumers should get involved too, we're probably next on the list. I don't really collect the 17" dolls, but I had to for Elsa and I even arranged to buy a Cinderella for retail price from someone else just because Cindy was always my favourite (even though I passed on her during the original release because I wasn't crazy about the doll). If they produce an Anna in her snow gear next year, I was hoping to get that, but if they're raising the costs up that much, I may not bother.

Good LucK!! I hope he is playing Santa

i think what ukers are most upset about is that they where meant to be £60 people have managed to buy them from physical stores for that before they could change the price. Disney has refused to refund the difference and the woman on the phone said well that was a mistake of the stores, were pricing it at £80. I am very disappointed in disneys greed with this release.

It's not the stores fault, it's disney store UKs fault, the dolls were supposed to be £60, but seeing how well the pin and harrods doll sold i reckon they just decided to try get a bit more money out of us! Like the labels printed out all said £60!!!! And the original hidden page said £60!!! I wish that the American store would take over the UK one because it's a joke :(! Every single release something goes wrong! Im dreading ariel tommorow morning because I couldnt sign into my Disney Store account this morning it kept saying Error....they probably wont fix that before tommorow either >__>

He's super cute ^_^

This price increase worries me very much. I think we will begin to see an increase in future doll releases and the sharks have much to do with it. These dolls are not cheap and they sell very well at their current price. Disney knows some people buy the dolls for re-sale, but they cannot stop them from buying the dolls. They are very well aware as to how much these dolls go in the secondary market even if its just initial hype. If people are willing to pay more than the current price to get them it was only a matter of time for them to begin increasing the price. My husband and I have been discussing this for some time now because he knows how much I look forward to these dolls, we worry that in the future the dolls will be so expensive that they will be impossible to afford. As it is right now they are pricey. The future of doll collecting worries me and last night was a great example. We knew the dolls would sell out fast and since the movie was announced its not hard to tell it will be an instant hit and yes it is a lower edition size and fewer dolls were available for the US, but the hype for these dolls was way more intense for a doll release of new unknown characters. Clearly a lot of people were out to make a buck. I find it so disheartening.

Honestly, I say everyone from the UK market that had to buy them at a more expensive price needs to flood the Disney Store facebook page. While it is not the US Disney Store's fault, it still would cause an awareness and possibly enough backlash that it doesn't happen again. While they are two different branches, they are still the same company and not a franchise. If you think of it, there was an immense angry outcry when they released the Queen of Hearts and Alice as US exclusives. A release like that hasn't happened again. (Thankfully and knock on wood) So this might be a pricy set of dolls, but complaining about it here won't help. I would take it to the facebook page to make it public and known.

Everyone, I ordered this morning online because my store only had Two Elsa dolls. I *may* have a spare Elsa doll, I did call to try and get it canceled but if it doesn't I'm going to have to sell her. PM if you're interested.

Haha they've actually replied on Facebook by just saying they have passed the comments on and £80 is right. Everyone is getting angrier by their response. I'd hate to be the person typing the replies!

Flood the FB page! If they get enough bad press about it then maybe they'll at least refund the extra £20 for this release. It's really not fair that the people who got a doll during the glitch guaranteed one AND got to pay a lot less for it! Nope, I'd be all up in their face and give them so much bad press that they'd change their minds. It's bad enough that the DFDC collection was more than twice the price of the 2011 dolls- AND their excuse that there's 2 dolls doesn't fly because the male counterparts were definitely not as detailed as the princesses. PLUS the shipping is charged by amount spent, not weight or size so the shipping was like $50/doll to have it sent to Canada. The amount the collectors are putting out for these dolls is slowly increasing. I am limiting myself to possible snow-gear Anna in the future, along with the DFDC Cinderella and Aurora when they come out (assuming they don't make an Anna set as well, in which case I'll have to get her too) and then that is it lol. I still need 2011 Ariel, even though I'm not collecting all of the 2011 ones, I still kinda want her but am NOT spending $700+ to get her. I'm running out of room for all these dolls anyways, I have them set up on a large bookshelf atm, but I may have to upgrade to hold Elsa and Cinderella and possible future dolls.

@Jennisney- I am swooning at the cuteness of that! We need some Hercules themed mugs or cool merchandise- that movie is so underrated!

On a completely unrelated note, I feel like the weather last night was cooperating with the release of the Elsa doll! It was apparently -12 C last night with the wind chill and I could feel it! I had the fleece pjs on with the thermal shirt underneath, a couple blankets and a heavy comforter as I was on my lap top this morning. The window was drafty and blowing cold air on me too lol. I really wanted to get my Elsa mug and fill it with hot apple cider, but my microwave knocks the internet off and I wasn't going to risk it. The Elsa mug (which I use for tea and cider) and Anna mug (which I use for coffee and hot chocolate) have become my favourite mugs and get used multiple times a day. Perhaps I get a little too obsessed when I base the use of my mugs off of the characters on them...

I agree the more people that speak up the better as they will think twice about doing it again. I just fear that it will fall on deaf ears our US friends will be next in the price hike.
