Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)

That should be LE Anna. This time around, LE Anna is in the UPS system as weighing 4.9 lbs, and LE Elsa is listed at 5.0 lbs (but the brown shipper cartons both have the same kg weight listed). Based on what you've told us about your order, it sounds like there was a jumble at the DS warehouse and they never actually sent out your LE Elsa. :( I think that happened to DRJ1828's LE Elsa that was ordered online, too.

Seems like it. I have to wait for it to get here before I call DS.com to complain, just to make sure....probably, right? UGH...

Yeah. Fingers crossed that LE Anna gets to you safely! :) If it comes to having to complain to DS customer service, be very firm about not just accepting a refund or a gift card in the amount of the item plus tax. That's just no ok in my book, especially since the error is on their end and they cannot replace the item. They tried to hoist that onto me for my LE Anna that was delivered to another address (and not recovered), and I laid it out to them that what they were offering was not enough to make up for the fact that we took the time and effort to order the dolls within a very small time window before they sold out online only to be told weeks later that we would not be getting them. No way! :(

What ended up happening, if I may ask?

What ended up happening, if I may ask?

Oh, to make a long story short, it appears that UPS delivered a LE Anna doll I ordered to another address, even though the correct address was in the UPS and the DS systems. On the delivery day (11/27), I got an e-mail notification at 2:52pm that the doll was left at my doorstep at 2:34pm, no signature obtained. I was at home all afternoon and no one knocked at my door and there was no parcel at my door or my neighbors' doors. When I first reported the missing doll, DS customer service originally offered a full refund ($108.95) or a $110 online gift card. I kind of blew up at the rep that the offers were kind of insulting, because it did not make up for the fact that I took the time and effort to be on top of this release to order the doll but I did not receive her. They then upped the GC amount to $120. In the end, after several days of waiting and opening a UPS investigation, they were never able to locate or recover the doll in their systems.

Another piece of advice is that you should not accept a refund or gift card until they are absolutely sure that the doll is lost or was never shipped to you (and confirmed that it will not be shipped to you). Once you accept the refund or gift card, if the doll is found, chances are that it will be recalled back to the warehouse and it will not be sent back out to you, because it will be reabsorbed into their inventory for some lucky person who happens to call at the point when one is available and they will snag it.

Wow Shiva that really sucks, I was crossing my fingers for you. What a horrible experience to go through. I would really like to understand why so many dolls were misplaced with this release? I know that unfortunately packages are constantly loss which is very scary, but so many at the same time involving the same items? That is just too bazaar. Im so sorry you had to go through this :(

I really hope the doll shows up, I think that's everybody's worst fear in terms of LE item collection.

I was a bit peeved at Cineplex earlier because apparently my 4 free tickets I got from the Disney Movie Rewards only count as children's tickets, which I think is a bit unfair. Anyways, they had a contest for a free Frozen soundtrack, and since I was planning on buying one I thought I would enter. I got an email the other day saying I had won! Yippee! I feel better about it all now. And I did get the Anna cup topper when I went to see Frozen on opening night and ended up grabbing the Kristoff one later when I went to see the Hunger Games. They're pretty cute- I'm planning on tying some clear line or something around them and hanging them up on my Christmas tree. Aaaand, I'm going to go see the movie again tomorrow night with my mom after I finish my exam. So I can't wait (both to see Frozen again and also because I'll be done my exams and don't have to study/write papers/sit through lectures anymore)!

Thanks for the well-wishes, LittleMermaidAriel! I really appreciate it! :) This particular doll release seemed to be quite messed up for so many people. I wonder if it was the holiday seasonal hires, the fact that the deliveries were around Thanksgiving, the more limited quantities, or maybe all of the above? Limited dolls being lost in transit is the worst thing that can happen, because they are seldom replaceable. I was lucky that I had ordered a second LE Anna for a friend whose internet went out just before midnight on 11/20, but luckily, she was able to get one in-store later that day, so it worked out alright in the end as my other dolls did arrive safely. But what frustrated me the most was that I contacted UPS as soon as I got that delivery e-mail (which was 30 minutes after the box was supposedly dropped off), and the service call center had absolutely no way of getting in contact with the driver that was responsible for the parcel. It seems to me that it would be better for recipients in this sort of situation for someone to immediately get into contact with the specific driver in question to fix whatever mistake they just made as opposed to the red-tape roundabout investigations that they do, which can take up to 5 business days. Who would remember where they dropped off a package a week later, and goodness knows what has happened to the package since? If the driver dropped the box off at a wrong doorstep, there is a better chance that they could retrieve it if they were called out within the hour of incorrectly delivering it. Just saying, the current system is not very efficient. With the electronic tracking systems, why can't they identify and contact the specific driver or truck that was assigned to deliver a particular parcel? It makes no sense.

Wow Shiva. I'm anxiously awaiting to find out what doll(s) is/are delivered but with one tracking number, it is not looking good.

NOTE: I bought Anna and Elsa in one order...

Agreed. Even if put in the same order, the 17" LE dolls usually have individual shipping labels printed for each doll, because they just ship each doll out in her own shipping carton as opposed to packing multiple dolls into another bigger box. Still, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that both dolls make their way to you. :) Remember that other botched orders may also be coming back to the warehouse every day, so that is always another (albeit slim) chance to get an order in. Of course, with that way, it's all about calling in exactly at the right time and you'd end up getting really buddy-buddy with their call center from the multiple calls. I wonder if some determined people actually call them every day to see if any stock was returned?

Sorry to hear about all the problems with deliveries!!

Uh...I finally saw Frozen last night! It was a special preview at the BFI in London because it isn't going to be out in the UK till the 6th, our boss offered us all free tickets! There was a Q&A with the directors and producer afterwards! And I didn't even know it was going to be a Q&A till I saw the pamphlets for the Q&A on the way in! AHH! And it meant we could applaud at the end! (cause I feel weird clapping if no one who worked on the film is present)AAAH
AAAHH!

Also I loved it :)

Quick question, has anyone seen the sticker packets being sold individually in the UK? I'd love too pick up a few packets, and to put a few into my cards for the holiday card exchange. If you don't know what sticker book I'm on about, it's this one;

I'm not 100% sure if you can purchase the sticker album by itself. My mum managed to find it in a magazine set, but the magazine was more like a comic. The artwork was alot better than I had expected, and it is a nice little read to flick through. It also comes with a little necklace, while it's not the best quality. It is adorable, and I'll wear it on Saturday when I go [well..hop] to the cinema to see Frozen.

My frozen toddler dolls arrived today!! :D Elsa has a minor dent which is a bummer, but I guess it could have been worse. I just wish Disney packaged these items better and that UPS handled the boxes with better care. Either way I am happy to have them, I just dont know where to put them. I have no more room!

I am happy that you did not miss out on Anna completely, but this whole delivery thing is just crazy. I agree that their should be a way to track who delivered what. UPS needs to make major adjustments in their service.

Oooo I love a good sticker album! Might pick this up, do you know which magazine the album was from? Can you get the stickers from WH Smiths?

It was in a Frozen magazine, I believe you can't purchase the sticker book by itself, at least not yet. As for the stickers, a friend says she's only seen them being sold at WHSmiths but I imagine Asda and Tescos will be selling them soon.

I'll have a look this weekend.

Just had a Disney email the toddler dolls are £10 each for today only as part of the 12 days of Christmas build up. Gutted as I paid full price a couple of weeks ago so a bargain now!

There's also a Starter pack (album + packs of stickers no mag) as well as the magazine + album pack I saw in my local newsagents (also a P.O.) they have a good distribution of mags etc so if you have one like that try there as they're more likely to sell the sticker packs or the high street; the larger supermarkets and those other branded shops like WHSmith, John Menzies etc as mentioned by others above.

Can you return the dolls you paid full price to at the store? If there is one local to you?

Oh, you will absolutely love her! :) I'm starting to move her into my top 3 favorite 17" LE dolls of all time.

I know! Me too! The song is so cute and it really did it's job to derail me from thinking that anything awry would happen later. Super-naive, I know! :p
