I LOVE the light-up hands. I also love Idina's voice for Elsa. I know her voice is pretty iconic at this point, but I'm also pretty sure she's going to change it up a bit for the character. That Queens accent doesn't work for everything she does. Wow, sometimes it's hard to believe how far she's come since playing Maureen!
 
I know I'm anxiously awaiting news/pics of the LE dolls. I'm not 100% sure I'm going to be able to get them, but at least the 17" LE Dolls preorders are marginally less stressful. And with Frozen being a new IP, I think everyone who is on top of things should be able to get them no problem.
 
So I'm just checking in here after spending a lot of time on the Designer Doll thread. I've heard rumor of an October 28th release date for the Frozen Gals with an edition size of 2500 each. Do we have confirmation of this? Additional information? Pics? Sorry if this has been recently addressed. It gets tiring going through pages of posts to try and determine the most recent info. Thanks for your help!

That's part of the problem though. We don't know her. So we infer from first impressions, in this case her character design. I don't believe personally that Idina's speaking or singing voice matches Elsa's character design.

I KNOW RIGHT!? I'd like to just be her for a day or an hour. She is a talented everything and is smart too. She's not going to just read the lines and sing the songs as herself. Plus, these are people over 30-40 years old doing voices for characters under about 20 years old. They will adjust.
 
I think Idina's speaking and singing voice will be great. When I think of Elsa, I think of powerful, so I don't think Idina's voice is too powerful for Elsa.

We don't really know anything about Elsa, so I can't really say Idina is wrong for the part. I trust Disney and they think Idina was a good choice. I'm a huge Idina fan and she's the reason I got excited for this movie in the first place, so I'm all for her voicing Elsa.

I wanna see the LE dolls SO badly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am trying so hard to save up them when they finally are released! MY boyfriend is egtting me one for christmas and im going to get the other myself!! Im so excited! I've never owned a LE 17" doll before

That is not completely true, the release date is still speculation however just like the dolls have been confirmed by people who have seen the dolls, the edition size has also been confirmed as well.

My guess is that the next thing we should be expecting are leaked pictures of the doll, the release date of the 28th definitely sounds feasible as it is a Monday and items are generally released on Mondays or Tuesdays so I would definitely be checking the site on the 28th and 29th of October for sure. Because it is only two weeks away I would not be surprised if we do get something soon. I also believe that these dolls will be released as a pre-order set for release sometime mid November and as usual they will be around the regular $99.95 price as they are 17" dolls.
 

I marked my calendar. I love surprise dolls! I actually kind of feel like the more the dolls are kept under wraps, the better off collectors will be. I already know I'll love them, as I love my other 17" dolls. My suggestion to all those who need to round up the money is to do it soon. I've been less than prepared before and it's way less stressful when you know the money is ready and waiting. Thanks for the info! Now that the designer craziness is over, I'll be checking on here for your discoveries and thoughts.
 

oh, okay. last I read, there were two differing opinions on LE size.
 
I've got the links to the doll pages on the DS website (although they're not mine to share), but it doesn't say anything about release dates... bah! :lol: I hope we get dates soon, but to be honest I want to see the dolls in all their glory on release day- even though I'm excited for them, I feel like I'm really really taken aback when we get REAL surprise dolls that just show up on release day!

Ahh yeah I do remember the one you are referring to so that is fair that you would believe the size is still being speculated, I believe that was then later clarified to be incorrect and that the edition size was 2,500.

I think at the moment the speculation is more around when the dolls will be released and if they will be for preorder, but right now you can probably guarantee that
a) they do exist
b) they are not being sold as a set
c) they will each be sold at $99.95
d) they each have an edition size of 2,500

What is currently speculation:
1) the release date of 28 of October
2) whether or not both Anna and Elsa will be released for preorder as both dolls have display dolls which Disney Store generally only does for preorder items
 
I really can't wait for these! The low edition sizes scare me a bit, but since the movie has not been released that might help in obtaining them. I woke laughing today because I actually dreamed that I went to pick up the LE Anna at the store. If the doll looks anything like she was in my dream, wow!! She was stunning! I can't wait to see how they look like. I want them both, especially Elsa ♥
 
Reading from their descriptions (if they are present), can you let us know what outfits they will be wearing, and whether they are described as truly amazing? I just feel like I need even a tiny bit of info, to keep me sane till their release lol :lol:
 
I think there aren't leaked pictures because they haven't been released to the Disney Stores yet. We were told specifically that if we had taken pictures that we were NOT to share on any blog, twitter, forum, etc, etc, etc.. I'm actually surprised there are not leaked images, yet. But then again - internal leaks are more apt to feature movie footage than dolls.
 

It does not really give much details into what outfits they are wearing...but based on what I have read it looks like Anna might be in her green dress? But that is just based on my own interpretation of what I have read.

There is not much detail on Elsa but because we have not seen her in anything else other than the dress she is wearing in the trailer I would assume that that is what the doll will be in too.
 
Thank you very much for this info Polaris. I can't wait to finally see pics, which should be soon, considering with LE Ariel, a cast member had leaked a picture of their store display doll before her announcement.
 
They are definitely worth saving up for. I have heard November 4th for Anna as well, from a friend who asked a CM in a NY Store. So between late October/Early November we should have the Anna pre-order. They are all LE 2,500. From what I've gathered, Anna is a pre-order and Elsa is a buy-the-day-of kind of thing, but again, all speculation!!
 

Anna is in her pink cape outfit, and Elsa is in her Snow Queen dress.

I do hope that Anna is in her snow gear outfit as I do prefer that one but the description does mention a bodice didnt think Anna had a bodice on in her snow gear but I def know she has it on in the formal green dress that she was in, but who knows with LE dolls they could add bodices on anything like they did with LE Rapunzel. Was that confirmed by the cast member as well? Would be good to get some confirmed information about what the dolls will look like. Better yet some pictures would be nice!

Thanks for sharing the info about the potential November release date too. So excited for these dolls.
