Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
@tht303 First of all, congratulations! Then, can I ask you where you got your Snow White? Because I've never seen her under $800 on Ebay, except for one time when the auction began at $0.99 and she sold for $480. Did you get it some place else?

Its actually not that uncommon! I got my Snow White for $200, MIB, from a seller on eBay. It never hurts to ask sellers of other LE dolls if they have Snow White too! ;)

Someone just offered me a Snow White for 650 on eBay but I don't think I want it , maybe I can give u her username So you can send her a message if u think that's not too much?

I gave up on collecting the Designer Dolls and 17" dolls. People just turned it into a marketing ploy and I lost interest. It was fun at first and I even camped out in Time Sq. for the final 5 designers, but little by little I sold my more than 20 LE Disney dolls. All I have left are 2 US Wedding Rapunzel's LE 8000 with rooted eye-lashes and pre-order cards and one 17" Cinderella LE 5000. I currently have them listed on eBay, but I would totally consider trading for pins. If anyone is interested feel free to message me. I have plenty of pictures and I will probably post my own thread.

Thank you Ocktober1995!!! I've been very giddy since I received her. I got mine on ebay and i'm surprise alot of people missed that listing or I'm sure she would have been alot more. I believe there's a couple listings of her right now around $700 listed on ebay. Mine did start out under $100 by the time it ended it went up to $380.

I did notice that if you are ok with a doll that has been removed from the box you can probably get her for around $400 but this wold be a doll that has been removed from the box. If you want a dol that is brand new in box you would have to fork up around $600-700. So it really comes down to your preference, if you want a brand new doll or a mint in box doll.

Congrats on the purchase though you got an awesome doll for a great price!

Yeah I always hear about people buying dolls that have been taken out of the box very cheap, but I never see a listing like that, while I check everyday :( It wouldn't be a problem at all for me, since I also take my dolls out their boxes. By the way, how do you guys search on Ebay? I just type in 'limited edition doll' and search in the Disneyana section. Could this be the reason I'm missing out on stuff?

@Brii59 thank youu, but I wouldn't even be able to buy her if she was $100 right now.. January and February are heavy birthday months for me, so I'm totally broke at the time

I usually search Limited Edition Disney Dolls but I generally find the more specific you are the more you will find. For example if you are looking for Snow search for Limited edition Snow White doll etc. Good luck with your search!

So...I'm kind of becoming super insanely antsy. February 4th is the actual anniversary for Snow White (so I am crossing my fingers so tightly for a Wicked Queen LE beauty) and then the 5th is the Peter Pan release...in which NOTHING has been even hinted at or leaked. (I am also crossing my fingers that there will be a Captain Hook LE)
So, a mental countdown has started in my head. I know it's probably extremely high hoped to think there's going to be a Wicked Queen right now, but still...these 7+1 days are going to feel like FOREVER!

I search "Snow White doll 17" because the 17" aspect is almost always listed. I do the same for all of the dolls. Or sometimes I type "Limited Mother Gothel" or just "Mother Gothel doll" for the ones like her that are less common to have other dolls of. :D

Haha, you are not the only one. I will be anxiously checking the website at midnight.

Is anyone else getting worried that there may not be a doll? My stores (4 different ones) are usually very forthcoming with information about the dolls. Each one of them said there will NOT be a doll with Peter Pan. No one knew anything about a surprise release and even said they would know by now if there was going to be one. I've always heard about the surprises releases in advance so I believe that. They told me they get there info on Monday and nothing came down this week. One store said they were told Ariel for October (which we can assume will be true) but they also told me they are no longer selling the lithographs with the dvds. For now, they will include the coupon but no more lithos. I'm really upset about that and they told me I should call guest relations with the hope that if enough people complain, they will change it. I'm starting to get worried. :( Even looking back there has always been a March doll……and no one has even heard any hints about anything……I just think thats odd. I really hope something comes out. Im really going through doll withdraw!!!

ME TOO!!!!
When Lady Tremaine was going to be a "Surprise Release", didn't we at least get like 10 days notice? I wonder if the company is now giving the store CM's even less heads up to prevent any leakage. I had a friend of mine (that is a former CM and an actual friend of my store's CMs) ask them about Tremaine and they knew nothing about her until she was actually announced as a surprise release.
The Ariel doesn't surprise me, she is a no brainer. They don't release an Ariel doll, they know there would be collectors in a full-out uproar. I hope they actually do make a surprise Ursula though.
If they really don't make any LEs for Peter Pan's release, then I guess it'll go to show that they really don't care to market the boys that much. :/
That does kind of suck about the lithos though. But, at the same time, didn't they "used to do it" a long time ago, then not do them, and then begin to again only a few years ago? Seems to be the Disney way in an effort to leave you wanting more. I would be shocked if they didn't do at least one for TLM, Aladdin, and Sleeping Beauty.

How sad about the lithos. I had heard that earlier today too, and I'm thinking that it is very like to happen since they already skipped the lithos for Frankenweenie and Wreck it Ralph. If they really do quit the lithos, then I personally wouldn't preorder fom them anymore. I only did it for the lithos, and if they no longer will fifer them, I'd rather just get it from Walmart (which is usually cheaper the first week the movie comes out) as well as to get the copy with the digital version. Still I'll be sad to see them go, I loved the lithos. I would think they would lose DVD sales.

So sad that they might skip a doll for Peter Pan. I am also going through doll withdrawal, and would have loved a Wendy or hook doll. Sad day!

That's the only reason I bought the dvd's from the Disney Store. I love the lithos. It's much easier to get to walmart or target to get the dvds. I called guest relations and let them know how disappointed I was with this. Not that it matters! :) but if enough people do maybe they'll bring them back at some point. I was so hoping for lithos with wreck it ralph!

If you bought the Peter Pan DVD in store do you also get the $20 coupon along with the lithos or was the $20 online only?

What I don't like is how Disney totally manipulates the customer and rips us off after they find that they're on to something popular. When these dolls first came out you could pre-order the 17" doll, with Blu-ray/DVD combo, Litho's and coupons for $99.95 plus tax. Than they started selling the dolls separately for $100 and the movies with litho's together. THAN...they stopped selling Blu-ray/DVD pre-order's altogether with litho's. Now they seem to be selling some dolls at $200+ like the Merida & Queen Elinor which clearly lacks the same quality as the prior releases and it's still available on the website from when it was originally released. Even the Buzz & Woody doll set was limited of 6000 and originally cost $79.95. With all the hype and over-kill for the excitement of these dolls I had to pass on them after a while. I'll stick with my pins, but of course being a huge Little Mermaid fan I will have to own an Ariel or Ursula/Vanessa if they release a doll of them.

They still did the lithos and the coupon with Peter Pan, but those went for presale before Frankenweenie and Wreck it Ralph and they didn't do the lithos with those movies, but I think you still got the coupon.

You know...all you people talking about a possible Vanessa LE doll...if they do her instead of Ursula...IMMABEPISSED!!!! But, the d**n idea has sadly grown on me enough to where, if it does happen, I'll be accepting of it...but still...IMMABEPISSED!!!! I'll still buy her because it'll still technically be Ursula...but...I want her in all her tentacle-y glory and with that grin. What can I say, I prefer people just the way they were born. ;)

But you know...I would totally be willing to buy her as a second purchase if they did an Ursula also. While she wouldn't be my favorite, she'd still be that one doll where people look at my collection of villains and ask "Wait...who is she?" So it'd be cool to have a conversation piece with a conversation collection. ;) Plus, now this is just the theatrical costume designer in me, they could make her really pretty as an LE doll. Using this picture as a reference...
Vanessa-classic-disney-18609591-423-320.jpg

You could make a really pretty doll of her. Preferably there would be a placement and styling that looked like there was a light wind. Plus the fabric could be velvety with some shimmer and slight sparkle to it. And, just for added effect, there could be some round, soft, and TINY crystals around the base of the dress as if it were water droplets clinging to her dress. (After all, she was walking along the beach.) I'd want the doll to look hauntingly beautiful...not just pretty and fierce.
But with the Ursula, she TOTALLY could be fitted in to the standard sized box. No problem whatsoever in my mind. I want her in her plus sized glory. Here are a few images that I found that would completely support her in her true form. Some of them are her, some of them are of the Broadway Ursula (which I wouldn't mind if they borrowed some details and ideas from *ESPECIALLY the scaled fabric for her body*), and the final one is just a sort of "Well...they drew her in that pose...how would they 'doll her' in that pose?" The answer is adding Flotsam and Jetsam in her box as props that could be conveniently wrapped/coiled around any metal stands or frame work holding her up and in place. If they made everything from the cleavage up traditional doll material and everything else a more flexible and moveable and wired plush, then they could totally fit her and make her look beautiful.

Some Ideasss,,,,,

All of you keep saying EVIL QUEEN GRIMHILDE, MALEFICENT, URSULA, TINKER BELL, I think a PERFECT IDEA would be Madame Medusa. She was a bad chick and the devil's eye diamond could be her PERFECT prop. :hsd::hsd::hsd:I feel like this right now. Another good one would be Mad Madame Mim! And no LE Megara? Are you mad? She is a shoe-in! The Horned King would be the overlord of these as well and Ariel's sisters would be a good LE pack. LE Giselle and Narissa would rule.

Hahaha! Madam Medusa. Could you just imagine though? They wild card release the next LE doll and it's Medusa in her nightgown, flimsy robe, and huge mud covered boots! (That is totally how I always remember her!) AND! She'd be holding her rifle in one hand and her diamond in the other. That doll...we'd have to get her just for the priceless comical value. Love it!
I totally want a Narissa LE doll too!
Even though I've said it so many times...Immasayitagain. I just want one of pretty much every memorable villain with a campy outfit. ;)
YOU HEAR THAT DISNEY!? So how about starting by making a Maleficent and Wicked Queen doll!?

P.S.

 <- This is my face as I check the website and discover...yet again...that there's not been a new release or leak yet.
 <- This is what it becomes.
 <- This is next when I say...things.
 <- Then this is how it ends when I realize...I have an addiction...to dolls.

;)

M-E-G-A-R-A!!!!!! SHE should get on and is very deserving of one as well with her big bangs and an LE Jane too. Designer Heroines- Esmeralda, Megara, Alice, Anita, Jane, Kida and Wendy. Plus while they make Kida, an LE Helga. She is extremely pretty.
