Don't forget that they send out images of the characters to disney headquarters for merchandise creation. In that D23 video about the BRAVE merchandise, the lady said that disney sends them swatches/concept images of how the character is "currently looking".

Anyone could have gotten the .png file and added the background, but I have no doubt that the 3d character has come out of disney itself.
And look at how they given Elsa those long side lashes - remind you of the LE dolls/Designer dolls?

Anna has Kristen Bell's Eyebrows & Mouth.
Elsa has Idina Menzel's Eyebrows & Mouth.
They did the same thing with Rapunzel & Mandy Moore - Mandy had long blonde hair, and now she has short brown hair.

If it is truly "fan-made" why would disney be scrambling to take them down so fast, if it wasn't within their copyright? How could they have the power to take them down if they didn't own them? It's not like other people haven't made their own concept artwork before. Once the trailer is out you would find out the truth with the designs anyway. Maybe they don't want other companies ripping them off.
Isn't there another "Snow Queen" movie being made by another company?

I kinda hope Elsa isn't fake, because I LOVE her dress.
I don't care if she looks like Periwinkle, because I love her too. =)

I agree with Babydoll, Disney would not have acted so quickly if that was not a leak as it ruins their big reveal. Of course it is subject to change until the film is done but I am sure the changes will be subtle. I can see the doll potential for these characters and that is exciting.
Still, I am going through dolly withdrawal, I hope next week will be good for Peter Pan fans and news of a Spring Release. I checked my emails and determined that the spring pre-orders were as follows : Tiana February 1st, Rapunzel blonde January 19th and Rapunzel bride February 21st. So there is still some time, I hope it is Jasmine.

OMG please by some crazy chance can we have a Kida LE doll!!! :drool: I wouldn't want her in a 2 pack with Helga, but she'd be a pretty awesome LE doll, too! ^_^ Personally, my dream LE set would be Rapunzel and her parents in a jumbo 3 pack 17 inch set... please Disney! :bowdown:
 
Well, with their tight lipped-ness, I feel like if anything does actually get released next week, it really will be the first true "Surprise Release". :facepalm:
I really do hope they do something. All I want is a Captain Hook, but even still, I'd like to see at least someone released.

I have some ideas! First, for the Release of the OZ movie, I would love to see Theodora. I really have hopes in this one, since they skipped her release on a regular doll, there might be hopes they plan to do her LE. She would look so pretty!

Next idea is for The Little Mermaid release. My biggest wish is to see Ariel in an Aqua dress, but I also found this artwork done by HigSousa. This idea is really great, I love the idea of the mermaid dress mixed with the Green, purple and aqua colors, the same of her iconic look as a Mermaid.

I'm also longing to see dolls of Ursula, Anna, Elsa, Mulan, Pocahontas, Aurora and Maleficent.
 
Not gonna lie, even though I highly doubt anything would come out tonight, I've been sitting here hitting the refresh button on the DS site every couple of minutes.
Just think, this time tomorrow we could be thinking
"Oooh, you got us. That was a well kept secret"

I just bought the China Girl Doll!! I know she is a little expensive but I know I will regret not buying her in the future as my set will be incomplete, that and she does look quite pretty and is such a low edition size! I cant wait to get her and see what she is like in person!

The China Doll is stunning, but not for me. So pricy but beautiful and worth it, especially since she's only an LE of 500. But nope, I gotsta save my money for the villains! ;)
I've also bought the flying money too! :D
Oh my goodness...I am officially nerding out in giddy excitement!
 
I just had a terrible thought...what if this is THE SECOND TIME they accidentally released stuff for the movie and they pull it all off the website again and we have to wait again?!?!?!?!?!

I really don't see why not. I mean, it's Disney. To not try to capitalize on something really isn't the Disney way. ;)
In total honesty, I will be truly shocked if they don't at least release a Tink or Wendy tomorrow.
BUT I WANT A CAPTAIN HOOK! ;D
 
wow $ 179 for china doll, I'm not sure I want to spend that much on her, especially since I haven't even seen the film yet, i just don't feel any connection to her right now, maybe after I watch the movie, I'll change my mind, but for now, I'll pass.
 
You guys...calm down and don't be all defeated until tomorrow. The blue ray comes out tomorrow, not today. If you paid attention to the trends, Mondays are a bulk release day, and Tuesdays tend to be a small release day. The Oz releases seem to be extremely random, seeing as how they have a little over a month before the movie comes out. BUT! Calm down. If they'll make such a random character a doll, instead of one of the witches, then I do believe there's a chance they'll make at least one LE doll from Peter Pan tomorrow.
So don't be all defeated yet.
That's not what I wanna be reading here. ;)
 
I'm really hoping that the China doll's price tag is due to her being more of a replica than a doll. If they raise the LE Princesses to $179 per doll I might be out of this collection. (Okay, I'll totally still buy Ariel, but I won't be happy about it)
 
Just in case anyone is interested, the wedding Rapunzel doll is back up on the UK store online website!
