Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Yes, I also love how we can connect with people from all over the world, who shares the same interests.BTW I love how international this site is. Disney fandom really brings awesome people together worldwide!! Anyways, have a great weekend everyone!! Aloha :wavey:
I have seen Elsa being sold for a lot higher, she passed 700 dollars weeks ago. She was sold for 1200 dollars recently. Overall she's sold for around 750-1000 dollars. Crazy. On a different note.. I just saw people bid more than $700 on SQ Elsa. :O
And the cheapest Snow White is now $1200.
I think it will be like last year with the LE doll being releases with the DVD/Bluray in the FallWhy would they be releasing them this early, when sleeping beauty's blu ray isn't out till the fall ?
I dont mind the price increase either, I think we will see them keep going up and up each year as they get more and more popular.I don't mind a price increase as long as it's a increase to every country and that they put all their effort into Aurora like they did with some of the LE dolls ie Snow White as that would justify the price increase. I don't blame Disney when they can see what people are willing to pay on eBay for past dolls .
I think disney upped the price to keep scalpers and parents (who buy these dolls for their kids) away. Although $20 isn't really much when you can get triple the price on eBay.
But as most people have said, Aurora isn't that popular and I highly doubt the ebay market will drag her price up. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney lowered her edition size.
I suspect that the main doll will be Maleficent, which I honestly think disney should up her size to either 4000 or 4500.
Nonetheless, I will be getting 2 of each dolls. Sleeping Beauty happens to be a favorite of my sisters (one of them will treat the doll as her grail). Fortunately for me, they offered to pay for the majority of them. I just have to order them. lol. Maybe I should charge interest rates.
My sister learned after what happened with SQ Elsa. She told me not to get one, I got one for the other sister, and when she saw it she got really mad cause she missed out.
Which store did you go to? I've only been to the Pineville one for the designer couples release (my sister and I got both Anna and Elsa's online). But when I went there, they wouldn't let you look at the couples dolls before you bought them. You just had to hope nothing was wrong with them...
Do you think it will end up costing a fortune to buy a Tink on the secondary market later, if we miss out in store?
I honestly dont think so. I think it will be like Eric and Ursula which have flooded the market, and sellers cant get rid of them. Most are selling at or below their retail
