Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I'm getting so excited for LE Snow Anna and Coronation Elsa! :D

I really hope we still have snow when they come so I can take some photos!!!

:hsd:

I found this on the bay. I copy this from the seller. Blue Dress version of Disney's Frozen 17" Limited Elsa. She was only removed to be inspected. Unfortunately, Disney shipped her poorly and there are three flaws, as seen in the photos. The left side plastic display window features a semi circle curved dent ~1" in size towards the lower back portion of the display window. Also, there is a dent ~2.5" wide on the left side of the back end of the box underneath the big letter "D" and a ~1" dent on the front left side of the front box..
so what I'm asking you all how much you think a damage Elsa should go for..I put a bid for it.bid started at $400.00. I just need a good idea how much could she go for. Thanks

The damage sounds like it only applies to the box and not the doll? If that is the case then she would still be up there in terms of value, obviously deboxers will probably not even go for her but then you have those that desperately want to own Elsa. So I would say that the highest I would probably go for a damaged box doll is $500-600 based on the currently valued amount of $800 new and undamaged. Just because it is just the box that is damaged and the doll is still in perfect condition. Also Elsa is one of those dolls that would look better deboxed due to her cape and dress. So I can see this still going up in price as the auction goes on. Probably not as high as a mint condition doll but still pricy enough.

I've been looking on the bay and a deboxed Elsa only sold for £190. Seems the value drops dramatically when they are removed from the box.

that's the tough thing though the US has a much bigger market than the UK also more people who are willing to debox. So it is hard to compare the two markets because all it takes is for two people to really want the doll resulting on a price war and driving the value up. I find in the UK that whilst there is a huge demand for these dolls people are not as willing to pay that much for them there as much as people in the US are. That is why in the past most of the time you would be able to get the dolls cheaper on eBay UK but because of the exchange rate and shipping to the US it is easier and more convincing for people outside the UK to just but it from the US. But who knows that could have changed now with frozen exposes these dolls and making more people aware of them the whole market could have changed completely.

I thought I nearly had Elsa but the seller ended up talking about the 2nd edition one I was already to pay and everything luckily I asked for a photo first :/

I'd ignore that auction as the seller cancelled all of the sales as she changed her mind about selling her collection! I tried to buy her deboxed Merida from her.... :(

It's like that with almost anything collectible. The prices might eventually creep up once less and less sealed versions are available. Natural order, I suppose.

I have seen this auction of Elsa, but the seller don't ship worldwide that sucks.. (I'm on hunt for this 17'' Elsa doll alo and I live in Sweden).
I think people don't really know how to bid on items on ebay, the time that is left of this auction is 5 days and 12h.
I have the feeling that people are still going to high up the prize because they wan't it so badly.

You can call it that they have already started a bidding fever.

I agree that people don't know how to bid and are only making more expensive for themselves. I never understand why people don't wait until the last few minutes or better yet seconds to bid.

Got both faries ! We were first in line two hours early. People started to show up round 9:40. This was my first time in store and wow lol this older lady starting hounding me about how many they had in stock and eyeing my #1 ticket . As I was checking out a guy got ticket #6 (last one) and he was pretty damn happy Haha.
They are very pretty dolls !!!!! The cover slip is on super super tight. The problem now is I have no idea where to put them lol running out of space !!!

Yeah it's so ridiculous.. Dx

Thank god I sometimes check up on my pre-order for the Frozen sisters. They were set to be sent to Japan when I ordered them, but recently I signed up for the free D23 membership and wrote my Danish address, and today when I looked at my doll pre-order they're set to be shipped to Denmark and the payment is also in my name. I don't know how to change it back (since my default delivery address is still set as Japan), and don't want to start editing things, so wrote the guest service to get it changed back.

What if I hadn't checked before I got the shipment notification in March XD That would have been horrible. Not just for the import tax it would cost me, but also since these dolls are too big for me to transport to Japan when I move. I have enough stuff as it is (incl. two Fairytale doll sets and two remaining animator dolls which haven't made it to Japan, yet).

Do you think we will ever get a 17 inch Tinker bell? I mean the designer one isn't in scale with the princess's from the designer line so I see no reason they couldn't do one in the 17inch line. I really want a limited Tinker bell but don't collect the designer dolls. Maybe they will do one in a few years for the final Tinker movie.

They actually should not be able to change the address unless you told them too. What could have happened is that there could have been a glitch. What you can do is contact the Disney store and just get them to confirm the address of your order. If it has in fact changed they can change it back to your Japanese address.

This sort of happened last year where a lot of members had the totals for their orders change to the same amount as the last thing they ordered and then their addresses changed too but it was really just a system glitch on the online system and not the warehouse system which is the information they refer to when setting up shipments. Also since they are preorders they can change the address etc as I changed mine yesterday after finding out that I am now going to be in the US during their release.

Yes, I agree, the Designer Tink is great but I would like her to get the deluxe treatment of the 17 inch LE.

they could potentially do a LE tink but I don't see that being likely. Mainly because if they were to do one last year would have been their chance with the Peter Pan Diamond Edition release. Also if they were to do one it would just look like a bigger version of the designer because to be honest the designer tink isn't really designer at all. It is just tink with her glamed up dress which looks just like her normal dress but has more sparkles on it. I would say if tink really is a favourite character of yours then don't wait for something that may not eventuate when they have already recently just released something similar albeit not necessarily to scale.

There are just way too many other characters that Dosney could do as LEs before I think they would even consider doing tink again. The designer tink is actually 11 inch which some of the designers are as well mind you I think the 11 inch includes her wings but I sort of like that as it emphasizes that she usually is small.

What at would have been cool is if the case looked like a lantern. If I remember correctly there was a scene where she is in a lantern? Either that or I have mixed it up with another Peter Pan movie. But that would have been cool.

I also thought it was very strange... I mean, what if I hadn't checked and they were shipped to my Danish address - that would have been awful.
Like I said, I wrote to them, including both order numbers and my wished address, but they replied that I should call them, which I think is stupid, since I'm outside of the US (and clearly my mail stated that). Even if I call them from Skype, it costs me money to do so - for some weird mistake their page made.
But, since they don't seem to want to assist me by e-mail, I have no choice but to try and call them. Maybe tomorrow evening (since that would be noon in the US).

I live in Australia so have the same problems as you. I usually just call them as it does not cost me much to call the states which I would assume should be the same in Japan. Yes I also use Skype but I just pre purchased about $15 worth of credit and that can last me up to 6 months. The way I see it is rather spend the $5-$15 to make a phone call rather than losing out on these dolls or having issues on my order.

Sure, which is also why I will call them as soon as I have the time. I don't want anything to happen to my order, which is also why I don't want to try and start deleting and adding addresses myself...
I'm in Denmark right now - but don't really think the Skype prices change anyway. I should have some credit left, since I often use Skype to call family in Denmark when I'm in Japan.

Unfortunately there is no way to change the address online yourself and the only way to do it is call in. I also recommend calling anyway as they are more likely to help you if you are talking to them. Also yes Skype is a lot cheaper to call into the US I think I only ever use a couple of cents each time I call the US and that doesn't change no matter where in the world you are.

The doubt that they would make the 17" doll is actually why I bought the Designer Tink. I honestly think she would look exactly the same is she was made to the 17" scale. Plus, she's a fairy so it's cute and cool that she is made truer to life size. ;) And, I think they glammed her up nicely with out going overboard.

With Tinkerbells release this week it makes me want my new elsa and anna! I don't know how ill wait another month Lol. And actually patience is my strongest virtue. How do you guys cope with waiting?

I was feeling the exact same way when I bought my Faeries yesterday. To cope with the wait, I just scan ebay and disney sites in hopes that I can score some of the older 17in releases for a decent price. I also try to figure out ways to save money for the next set of dolls that disney will soon be throwing our way:)
