My first Disney Store LE doll was Rapunzel (the purple one/blonde one). I got it online from the UK Disney Store back then! I saw the wedding Rapunzel when I was in London, at the Disney Store, her dress was amazing as well!

The funny thing is, even tho I love Disney and the LE dolls, Rapunzel is the only one I have XD Some dolls I just completely missed the release of and others I just didn't want.
You see, I really loved Tangled and Rapunzel when the movie came out so I had to have the doll (she's STUNNING!). Then I was a bit bummed out realizing that my favourite princesses Snow White and Belle had already been released before I got into the dolls. For example, I was looking forward to Cinderella but I felt they didn't go all out on her, like she is a bit too simple in design. I was looking forward to something grand!

Right now I'm OBSESSED with Frozen (seems to be the trend now right? XD), and I feel the worst cos I seriously did not know this movie was even coming out or that it would end up meaning so much to me. (Judging the Olaf&Sven trailer I had zero interest, I thought I would hate it.) Needless to say I missed the November dolls and I can't believe how sad I can be over a doll!! XD I'm in love with Kristoff and Anna's characters and I neeeeeed that coronation Anna doll in my life!!
Fingers crossed there will be Kristoff LE doll and that I can get Anna this month from the UK site! If there's no Kristoff I might go for Elsa too~ But I am just soo close spending all my money on the green dressed Anna, she is so incredibly beautiful I might just cry! But for my liking, she's going for a bit too much money.. ;( I'm just a college student!

My goal isn't complete collection but to have the dolls I enjoy and have most connection with! I hope you don't treat me like a newbie cos I only have one doll in my collection haha! I do adore all of them tho for the details and quality. I really loved the desinger dolls as well, they are stunning! But at the time I didn't have the means to get them.

So.. I hope to comment occasionally now after my first post or "introduction"! :D Hope I don't miss a single doll I wish to have from now on~

I agree the original trailer for Frozen gave no clue as to the movie. I almost didnt go see it, but then I was seeing a lot more stuff on Tumblr, and read more about the actual story and we went opening weekend. Glad we did.
 
I know there is a thread for this but I thought I would add here as well since it has 17" LE dolls included My local two Disney stores have gotten a mix of Different Frozen merchandise back in stock including the 12" dolls but they sold out within 1.5 hours of opening. My two stores also said that they never got the pre orders for the 17" Limited edition Anna and Elsa dolls coming out on the 18th but they do believe they will be carrying them in store on that day. So I will be there when they open.(If I get them great if not no big deal) just a heads up you mihgt want to cal your disney store and see whats up with those 17" dolls and other merchandise. NOt sure how accurate the info from this cast ember was but worth a shot if you missed the pre orders just chwck your disney store and see what they have to say
 
I was just thinking about how much I want Deluxe Rapunzel and plan on saving up for her since I'll have to import her from the US, when low and behold, she appears on eBay. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to save up! xD Just my luck. Well, maybe it'll happen again.
 
Can anyone give me some advice, I'm really stuck on which Frozen doll to get! I plan on ordering one of each on the 18th hopefully. One for myself and one for my mum( she's not bothered which she likes both). And originally I was going to get Anna as I already have the Sq Elsa so then I would have a set! But as the time is getting nearer I really want Elsa more as I just love her, but I have never gotten doubles of the same character before. Also you cannot order more than one of each so I really do have to make the decision :( If I don't decide now I can always decide once I have both and give the other to my mum. She's paying one for my birthday and one for herself. I keep thinking I should get Anna so I have one of each but the it would be neat to have both versions of Elsa. What do you think?
 
I'm exactly the same in those situations. My only advice that works for me is to do heads and tails. The outcome doesn't matter; it's what you hope it lands on that does. :)

Other than that, I suppose it depends whether having a set or a doll you love (or love more) is more important to you. I'd also personally keep in mind that my mother tends to give me things that she's bought for herself somewhere down the line (or sells it me), because she's either lost interest or knows how much it means to me. Of course, that can't be said for everyones! Would she agree to a swap if you later changed your mind?

Does your mother have a separate mailing address than you? Separate credit cards? I thought in the UK, it's 1 per address?

That is a tricky spot that you are in as it would be hard to decide. I think that since you are going to get both but one will go to your mother then maybe decide when they come in? Like you said it will probably be easier for you to decide when you have the physical dolls as opposed to just referring to the images.

Also in a way since the other doll is going to your mother it is not like you cannot just go and visit her to see it and you are keeping it within the family too which is a good thing so you don't really lose out which is good. Either way, whichever doll you do decide to keep for yourself im sure you will make the right decision as it would be your decision. Good luck!

Yeah that is right it is one per person per address. I was never sure if that meant shipping address or both billing and shipping? Like can you order one then another of the same item having them each sent to a different address but use the same credit card? Usually to be safe I would always advise using a different billing and shipping address to avoid cancellations.

Based upon what you've said I think you should get Elsa. You seem to show a strong preference for her whereas with Anna you want her to complete the set. This will be the first time I've gotten doubles of the same hair character as well. If I were in your position, I would get the one I like the most, not the one that would complete a set.
 
Thanks for all the great advice guys:) I think I will just wait till I have them in hand and then decide.I mean if I go with Elsa I will have a set ( both versions of Elsa) and it will also be a set if I go with Anna. Their are not as many images of Elsa to get a good idea which I prefer, just the stock images and they never look exactly the same. For those who have seen Elsa is she nicer than the Anna? Like I think in the first set the Sq Elsa is the stand out of the two IMO but which is the standout in the new set?

Ok.. I'm a little biased..
I think Coronation Elsa is disappointing doll... I mean.. She's definitely not as bad as Belle or Cinderella.. but still.. Kinda had high expectations.
There's something off about her face.. Her dress is weird.. It gets bigger as it goes down and is one shiny color when in the movie it's a lighter teal gradient. The black part of her dress is supposed to be velvet and it is not in the doll. And most of all.... The most disappointing thing about the actual doll is her cape. Her cape is short, the material is inverted. and the color is too dark. I've only seen the online images and I know that a lot of people here think that I'm being too harsh.. But after seeing how incredibly movie accurate the Anna dolls have been (minus coronation hair), I don't think Disney has an excuse.

While Anna on the other hand is just perfect. They got the colors right, they got the hair right, they got the lengths of everything right.
Honestly... I would say that Anna is worth the $100. But Elsa.... I'd say about $80.

Again! A lot of people think that I'm being harsh, but I really don't think Disney put much effort in the coronation Elsa doll.
And I don't want them to think that they can just release any doll without effort or with cutting costs because they now know that people are willing to buy them at any price.
 
I usually want my dolls to look exactly like in the Film too, but I kinda disagree with you though. Such a long cape would be impossible to handle. Like, how could you display the doll with such a long cape? It would look hella weird imo. Everything else looks just like in the movie, but I see why you're dissapointed with her though. I have to agree with the face, it doesn't fit the doll at all. I'd have liked a difference expression... this one looks way too princess-ish, if you get what I mean. x)
 
I honestly didn't WANT to like Coronation Elsa, but when I saw the final product (the display dolls looked so much better than the stock pics), I thought she looked as elegant and regal as the Snow White doll. However, we all have different opinions, so I'm sure lots of people will agree with you, anime.

I've seen her with different lengths of bangs, and I'm getting to my store early to pick out the one with the longest ones since those are the ones I like (but other people feel differently).

I treat the dolls separately from the characters in the movies, so if they're not completely accurate it doesn't bother me. It's like when I see a movie based on a book or comic. They'll never translate, so you have to enjoy it for what it is.

My opinion on the November and March Elsa dolls might not be a popular one.. I might actually prefer the March doll better. The snow queen one is gorgeous but there's something about the blue of her skin and the yellowness of the hair.. At least in some pictures I've seen, it might not be the case in person at all. I don't have a problem with the Elsa doll's coronation dress, it's quite nice. If something is off it's that she looks a bit too cheery. In the movie she was really calm and collected, and a little nervous in those scenes. :)

But if we're talking about which one to choose between Anna and Elsa, I would choose Anna from both the November and March releases! Just because she is my favourite character from the movie. If Matthewlondon is ordering both of them anyways maybe choose only when you see them in person. And like Polaris said, you would still have both of them in the family. :) I would go for the character I feel stronger connection with even if there'd be doubles. They will look different because of the outfits and hair! (and these dolls are stunning in any case!)

Only problem in the category of the dolls not looking like in the film I have is with Ariel. Because the color of her seashell bra is not purple :D That is why I didn't really fancy her initially. I want to get the doll now as to me she's one of the most beautiful among the LE dolls. Costly mistakes we make... :D And to be sure I won't regret my decisions later yet again I'm trying to get the coronation Elsa next week, but Anna is my priority. (And still wishing for LE Kristoff ;))
 
Thank you, lots of great advice and different views here! As for the Sq Elsa her hair is no more yellow than the coronation one, think it just depends on the lighting. It's a platinum blonde but in the film to me her hair has a grey/silver tone to it. And mine doesn't have a blue/purple skin time just very pale again I think it depends on the photo/lighting. But I do prefer her to the coronation one. Can anyone confirm is the coronation Elsa actually pale? In pictures her skin tone looks the same as Cinderella's.
I think I'm more drawn to Elsa's because I love blonde hair and Elsa is much prettier. Will make my final decision once I have them both.I hope I can get Elsa with short bangs like the movie. Very excited now for them.


I do agree that the cape should have been longer btw. It should have at least been as long as Snow Whites.
Funny it it seems we have been waiting ages for these and then once we get these we will then be waiting and speculating on the Aurora/maleficent doll!

Also just to answer your other query, no, unfortunately that will be next to impossible to find, just like any collector's item that increases in value, once it goes up it is very unlikely that it will go down. Unless you find another collector that doesn't need the money and has the doll to sell because they no longer want it but the chances of that happening is very slim.

Since I also collect other Fashiondolls, prices change very often. I have the feeling that LE Ariel sold for higher prices a few months ago, while she's available for better prices atm.

I wasn't able to win LE Ariel yesterday cause someone overbid me in the very last second (I was the highest bidder in the last 4 seconds, lol)... oh well. I managed to get that LE Anna in her dress for 150€ and LE Merida for just 100€ Anna usually sells for at least 300€ and Merida for 150€, so I'm glad I was able to get her. My friend, from who I got them, also sells Rapunzel in her Wedding dress and that Merida/Mother LE 2-Pack for just 120€. I love that Merida and her Mother is a nice addition, but I don't have the money for them, sadly. I'll try to get LE Ariel next month, when I have money again. If ANYONE here from Europe is willing to sell me his or her LE Ariel for a decent, please mail me. x) I also really need Eric. Then I own all previous LE dolls I want. Ok, besides that Elsa in her blue dress for sure...
 
It is definitely the lighting when it comes to Nov Elsa. I was happy to see her hair wasn't really yellow like in different pics. Snapped this pic of her in natuaral lighting and I think it looks fairly close to how she looks.

I was wondering this to. I don't think its necessarily about keeping it quite for the public, I think with so many cast members posting information online they might keep future release information between management. A lot of companies do this, the DS may be next to follow suit.
 
I'm actually excited to see what Hans would look like.
Are they going to give him the sash and the ascot? What about the gloves?
 
I'm really pleased with coronation Elsa myself - when the November set came out I was so upset we didn't get one. I can't wait to hve her - she's definitely going to be deboxed!

I wouldn't be too surprised if the staff didn't know about any surprise dolls until Monday the 17th with the way things have been going. When the Designer Fairies were released my store didn't have information until the day before despite the leak. I'll be so heart broken if we don't get a Hans, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high.
