I agree a Maleficent LE doll would be gorgeous if done right. They should just make a 17 inch version of this doll:

That would be perfect! I really hope she is based off of the classic animated character and not the Jolie version. I also hope they don't do an amalgamation of the animated and live action character like they did with the Queen of Hearts. I just want the Mistress of all Evil in all her glory!

I'm also torn about the LE Ursula doll. I would love Vanessa but Ursula would just be so cool and different. She could be devilishly glamorous with her drag queen make up and tentacles. And if the added Flotsam and Jetsam. But I do like the idea of her being Vanessa when she is first seen on the beach and they have her with a mirror with her reflection being Ursula.

I'm also pumped for Ariel and Aurora's LE dolls! They both will be gorgeous!

P.S. If they are discontinuing the Animators collection or "reworking them" I need to get Pocahontas ASAP. I haven't had much luck getting her :3

auroradawn, that picture is exactly the expression that I hope they give the Maleficent doll. She is the Mistress of all Evil and I think her murderous smirk looks so much more evil than her winning smile.
And, LordTremaine, that picture actually gave me shivers. It's GLORIOUS! It's also pretty much the best and most accurate representation I've ever seen created. If they were to create a Maleficent of this quality, I'm pretty sure I'd buy two. One for inbox and one for debox show off! ;)

Seriously, the Evil Queen and Maleficent are my ultimate grails. I am still holding on to the hope that they release the Queen this year since they said it was an anniversary year. But I now I have an estimation for when I will finally have my Maleficent! <3

Also, how glorious would it be if they did make the Ursula doll with Flotsam and Jetsam wrapped around her shoulders like a boa!? :D
 
Also, I still stand behind my disappointment that they didn't make an Yzma doll for the designer villains collection. She'd have had the same skin color as the Ursula doll. Sure...skinny Ursula could be redone to look like an Yzma, but still! So I hope they randomly make a Surprise 17" Yzma doll some day.
 
Yzma would have been great she is the only villainess to wear more than one outfit in her film I'm surprised they didn't use her. I guess she would have looked too much like Ursula and designer Mother Gothel's design reminds me of Yzma as well. I would love an LE Yzma one day that would be fierce.

Lol I had a moment and forgot Madame Tremaine. Definitely doesn't look good on my part since I am her husband ;D She does wear other outfits as well. I think it's funny the two who wear different outfits in their films get excluded from a fashion/designer line.

I dunno, I would like a white-gown Theodora...but as part of the DMC. If they do make anyone, I really do hope that it is the Wicked Witch of the West. While Mila did completely shut me up and prove me wrong with my doubts about her casting, I would just feel weird having a 17" doll of her. Don't get me wrong, she is a beautiful woman and is talented and all...but still. Putting her next to my cartoon-y dolls would make her look like she didn't belong. If they are going to make another one, I do really hope it is the Wicked Witch of the West because she will look a little cartoon-y and won't look like that much of a sore thumb amongst my dolly ladies. ;)
Plus...if they make a white gowned Theodora doll...then she wouldn't actually belong with my LE collection because she's not the villain. (Yeah, I'll admit, I'm only thinking of me and my collection here.) ;)
 
I also hope they release a Wicked Witch of the West. She is such an iconic character, and one LE doll/figurine (as in China Girl) is simply not enough for the movie. There may be a chance, as maybe they have decided to release her (if she exists) with the Blu Ray, in order to avoid spoilers at the time of the movie's theater release. Who knows.

I agree, whilst I wasn't a great fan of the movie I still think the Wicked Witch of the West would make an awesome doll, I just wish Disney would release a doll already as we are way past overdue and I cannot wait until July for the Little Mermaid preorder. That's still 2 months away! Lol

I never had the chance to pre-order a doll (except the Villain Collection), so I have no idea what to expect. :anxious:

Although I only collect BATB and Pocahontas I think im going to get an ariel/vanessa :). and if one day I decide i dont want them anymore I might be able to trade for my holy grail of a LE belle <3

You can never really tell how many go up for preorder but based on what I have read here in the past the Disney Store in the UK do not have preorders and the dolls only go on sale the day of release. Also the UK has fewer dolls in stock compared to the US.

I believe in the US it is a different story where all the stock goes on preorder and once that sells out that is it (unless they have the returned stock which they rerelease later down the track). It took a bit over a month for Cinderella to sell out however like me I am guessing people were umming and ahhhing over whether or not they should get her hence why it took a while. In terms of units that will depend on how many they reserve for the UK market but I am assuming that is determined based on the initial sales in the US market.

i think due to her popularity Ariel will sell a lot faster, depending on what the doll looks like and the people's reaction however I have a strong feeling she will sell out fast especially since there will only be 5000 units of her. So similar to the designer princess release there is a possibility that she will sell out within hours but like I said this is highly dependent on what the doll looks like. Cinderella is also a favorite of many people but due to her lack of detail a lot people took a whole to decide on purchasing her.

but since Disney has not released any other dolls since China Doll I am expecting the Ariel LE to be absolutely amazing! Hopefully surpassing or equalling her predecessor dolls.

i am curious though. Did China doll eventually go on sale in the UK? I can't seem to remember if she did or not.

The UK got China girl, but she was sold out superrrrr fast! I didn't have the chance to buy her so I had to buy her on eBay, but I don't regret buying her, she's super cute!

Honestly, with all the time they've had (and the suspense and expectations that have built up as a result), I wager that a mermaid Ariel doll will equal or surpass the detailing that the Tiana doll has. If there is a green dress Ariel, then I bet she'll sell out the same way Cinderella did.
But if they make an Ursula/Vanessa...oh she'll sell right out so fast! ;D

I didn't even know they went up, I'm gutted now as I had my eyes on her since she was released in the US
