Why? I collect marquee's because I like them. The more the better, the easier I can get it the better too. No one is trading old marquee's for newer ones anyways. I just noticed an old NBC marquee is also 500. I think just because it's a marquee and they are collectible they will still be highly valued by traders. The older ones however are valued even higher. So marquee for marquee will still be difficult, but your marquee for their random LE will still pull a premium for you.

I collect marquees because I love movies and I love the hunt that goes with it. I don't have a problem with Nemo and Wreck it Ralph being 500 as much as I do the NBC ones being le 500 because there are 9 of them. I just think that if the soda fountain is upping the edition size the hunt for them won't be as fun because there are more of them

One of the things that was mentioned by a cast member, is that they have virtually no pins for tourists / no collectors who come to see the movie and are looking for a souvenir - although they still have all of the Tink pins (minus the marquee which sold out earlier in the week) and still have loads of the Ludwig Back to school pin.

And yes, the 1st wave all left for work (me), home or the park (Stewart and a few others) to do a little trading...

I cry a sad little tear for the awesomeness the Wreck-it-Ralph pins COULD HAVE BEEN! Those are terrible. Not a single one I was hoping for. Wrong medal, No Jane Lynch, Felix no hammer, terrible Ralph pin. Ugh, lame. Vanellope pin does not do the character justice either. She is so darn cute in the movie and yet nothing. I hope there is an opening day pin, or WDI pins or something. There has to be one of her in a tree upside down from someone.

I know I almost didn't recognize Vanellope. I hope the opening day pin wil be great!!! oh and i hope that with these pins that the candy cars are glitter! :0) oH and No Free D!!!! lol . ..

HAHA!! I thought of you as soon as I saw that one, its the only one I could make out of those blurry pics..

So if they dont give out all the wristbands during the appointed time slot, do they just move onto the next or do they stop handing them out? Like if they still have some left after 5:30, will they still hand them out until they're gone or is it cut off at 5:30? Can somebody down there pleeeeeaaasseee ask because Im debating about taking the drive after work & with Friday traffic, no way will I make it by 5:30.

OMG OMG OMG - is that a dumbo PTD pin see?!?!?!?!?!?!? :0)

I heard the cast member say that too. If they were really worried about there being pins left over for non-collectors, they would make more open edition pins to sell rather than nearly all their pins being limited editions. I'm not saying they should stop the LE's, but its kind of a weird complaint that could be remedied with more open edition pins, or even bringing a few rack pins over from DL.

DSF is part of the Walt Disney Studio group while DLR is part of the Disney Parks & Resorts group

I find it oddly amusing that people are literally standing feet from each other and still chatting on here. keep it rolling!!

They have sold the same merchandise before. We bought a Minnie treetopper last year at DLR. They also had it at DSF but we get the discount at DLR went there instead. So I'm sure they could sell DLR OE pins all the same. Or just make more random DSF OE pins. Not like there are tons of left over LE pins on the rack like in the past.

I agree on NBC marquees. Enough already. Do something else, 2 this year? I guess we've never had a Zero or Oogie Boogie marquee before. There are other Disney halloween movies but I guess it's tradition for El Cap to show NBC each year. How about a Hocus Pocus marquee? haha. OR Halloweentown? Maybe we'll get a Frankenweenie tossed in the mix now.

5:30 is the cutoff for tonight whether they give out all 150 wristbands or not. that was the word I got directly from DSF yesterday when I called. If for example the give out 100 tonight, then 101 would be handed out to the person in line behind 100 @8:30 am.

.

Ha! That is what I was worried about. Right when there are holidays & bills ... oh, well ....

Especially a Surprise Tangled...

So I've been meaning to do this for awhile, but going through the list of animated features here is what they haven't done yet, assuming I haven't missed any and accounting for the unreleased but previewed: Mr Toad, Great Mouse Detective and Lilo & Stitch:

Saludos Amigos
Make Mine Music
Fun and Fancy Free
Black Cauldron
Rescuers Down Under
Tarzan
Fantasia 2000
Dinosaur
Emperor's New Groove
Atlantis
Treasure Planet
Brother Bear
Home on the Range
Chicken Little
Meet the Robinsons
Bolt
Princess and the Frog
Tangled
Winnie the Pooh (2011)
Wreck-It-Ralph

Plus, the other Live Action/Animated releases

Song of the South
So Dear to My Heart
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Enchanted

and if they do these, I'd be impressed

The Reluctant Dragon
Victory Through Air Power

Plus Pixar Releases:

Toy Story 2
Toy Story 3
Incredibles
Cars
Wall-E
Cars 2
Brave

They also released Herbie, which would open up live action films, but that list is numerous. And with the Three Little Pigs, that opens up shorts, and that's another huge list. And they could do the specials like Mickey's Christmas Carol. And stop-motion like Nightmare Before Christmas.

Christmas Carol w/ Scrooge could be the surprise for December maybe ??

Oh Gosh ... I hope not Brave or Tangled. Probably it would be cheaper for me to fly there and wait in-line

I thought DSF was part of Parks and Resorts and El Capitan was part of Studios. My former manager from Disneyland transferred to DSF for awhile. DSF does carry Disney Parks products and their pins are listed on the What's HapPINing Blog, which is run by Parks and Resorts.

Anyways, I was stuck behind a traffic accident so I got there a little after 1pm and got wristband 65.
