Live from this crazy line at DTD!
Can someone explain how/why they would let hotel guests CUT in front of an established line?

If they would have told us that in the first place then Ok. But telling us there is one line for all is BS. The messed up part was they sent some of the hotel guests to the end of the line.

Big fail Disneyland.

Yeahhhh I'm seeing a lot of REALLY angry posts on Facebook...
They told us once we start moving the line in no more hoping in line. Well they didn't enforce that. There were some people that were behind me that were magically near the front of the line.

Kind of nervous. My friend was sending me texts to let me know what was happening and I haven't heard from her since 6:30am. Hope everyone is okay and no one got hurt or anything like that.

Nothing crazy happened that I saw. Just a bunch of angry people complaining.

Doubtful, because the Elsa PTN pin is now officially on the Disney Pins site:

I think I'll start driving to Florida to camp out right now.

Go now. Lol. There was close to 1000 people. Granted there were pins and vinyls released today.

They should have had 2 different lines.

Because I know people did what everyone does on black Friday. If you're in front you just take all the wrist bands.

They said you can come back at 1pm and line up again to try to get left overs.

If you booked a room just for the event, I think they should give you consideration for a place in line. Of course there is always the chance that Disney will screw even that up when it comes to releases.

Does anyone have any tips for camping out, waiting out, or just best practices for pin trading night? If I make it to the Orlando Pin Trading Night, it will be my first event, and I would like to not whig out XD

Please and Thank you

@Darris.....I agree with that completely BUT it should have been stated BEFORE the sale. The "rules" for the sale stated that no one, including hotel guests could be lined up before 6am and that was not enforced at all.

Considering that I live several hundreds of miles from DLR, if I knew that I could get special treatment/hookups for staying onsite I would make it happen for sure. Considering that CM's get such huge discounts for rooms, if they know that people can get hot PTN's before the rest of the feeding frenzy, it ends up really favoring hotel guests and or CM's.

As as with all high demand pins this was bound to be a hot mess. The thing that has me personally so irked is the facebook posts admitting to dragging 15+ bodies along to stock up for the fleecing. This will always be a sore subject for me because no matter how much I understand supply/demand and people's need to make money, I will always say GET A REAL JOB before I will ever think that simply being able to recruit other unemployed people or worse dragging your children out of school to queen for pins is ok.

If money was no object no one would be upset. For the hundreds of people that were onsite to get ONE pin for their own collection at cost, only to be turned away because once again Disney fails to follow its own "rules" and have rewarded those that late tally broke those rules....well they are surely far more pissed off than those of us simply watching this from home.

And so are the days of our lives LMFAO.

Technically no one was suppose to line up till 6am.

someone was lined up around 1:30-2:00 am

Then it wasnt so bad around 4am. Then all of a sudden car loads of people were pulling up and hopping in line. kids still half asleep complaining and asking why they have to be there. I felt bad for the little kids getting dragged there.

dont know how WDW handles things but if its anything like DLR get there early and have someone drop you off because there is no parking or know someone that is getting there early and cut like every one else. (-.-)

so many people dragged their kids there or family/friends that had no idea what was going on.

The hotel line thing would have been fine with me If it was stated before hand. But is was like surprise remember how we told you we had one line and one line only. well there is now a hotel line with 50 people in it that we are going to let cut in front of you.

funny thing was some CMs sent hotel guests to the regular line with everyone else.

Man, this reminds me of the thread that was on Dizpins a few years ago for the 11-15-09 DLR release of the Haunted Mansion POH pin! This sounds like the same insane release! Hope no one got hurt or trampled in the melee!

Excuse me you see a lot of posts on here about pin trading the crazy lines you threatening me on my other post like how dare you. it's only piece of metal only sharks break up the rules ruin it for others
