Mickey's Circus Update
Count me in!

What is a RSP?

RSP stands for "Random Selection process"- since more people may want certain pins than what they have available, they use this system to determine who gets first crack at any given pin. It's basically like a drawing/raffle/lottery. You get a sheet of paper before the event telling you what you've been chosen for, and then you either buy it or return it back to the pool.

It keeps us from having to stand in long lines...I wish Disney would use it for more things (like the Designer Princess dolls, for example).

Mmmmm...well, it's better than last year, at least. I see maybe 5-10 things I want, and opposed to last year's big fat zero.

I *love* the new Duffy. But on the other hand...Pete? Really? And with a Mickey completer, they're lucky they only made 10 of that frame...any more, and they wouldn't find enough hardcore Mickey fans to buy it.

Looked at the list for the event what is everyone's opinion of the selection of of pins offered?

Some are nice, some not so, prices seem to have gone up, and not as many pins offered that is just my opinion

These pins just don't move me. At least last year, the pins were ones that I genuinely wanted. I'm going, but it's just going to be to hang out and trade with friends and off the boards.

I am disappointed because none of these beautiful pins fit my collections. But that's OK, and I am still planning to attend, along with my DS#2 (DieHardDonald). I'll buy the logo and the passholders pins, and probably one or two sets that we'll break up so DS#2 can have his Donalds. I'm one of those rare people who is fine with paying for the "privilege" of trading for three full days and the opportunity to see so many pinpals in person.

Jacqui

Im hoping I dont need any of the chasers in the villain mystery set since the chasers are LE100 :/ will be keeping my eyes on that set to hope for the best lol

Well, I'm registered for the event, but only need one pin - the Cheshire Cat. I cannot believe there is only ONE frame. ONE, what is going on with this? There are only 17 items this year and there were way more in past events. And still nothing about the departure gift (if there is one) or what we will get as a welcome gift. I'm going to go, but only to hang out with friends. This may be my last year for pin collecting.

I'm sign up with my BFF we can't wait to go for the event. Not sure if she has any pins she wants yet but I have a few I hope to get. Mostly going to have fun at the event :)

+1

We look at it as a weekend of crazy long days of pin trading.... It gives us our "pin trading fix" for a little while.
No Holy Grail expectations from trading or Disney.... And we have always had a GREAT time~!!! :hsd:

Well if Jim & I go, I only want the Duffy dancing around pin and possibly I'll buy a couple of the mystery pins . I wish they would come and get ideas from our members . Carl from UP holding balloons, Rapunzel, longest hair or on a horse . What happened to having a side show ? Come see a real mermaid , or the ape man Tarzan . We have better ideas than the artists . :sigh:

We are just excited to be going with our daughter (Bayoujazz21) and got in for the breakfast and dessert registration too. We are looking forward to the pin trading and seeing all the traders we know. Some of the pins fit into our collection so we hope to get those on our RSPs, and hopefully everyone will have a fun time. September cannot come soon enough....

How fast do the early registration pins go usually? Do you think they're already past 750 registrations?

We're in! :) Myself, hubby, and sis-in-law are there for the event and dessert. . . Can't wait!

As far as merch, about 5-10 things, but alot of those are single pins out of sets. Hope we're able to pick them up! :)
