Our team of Brains behind the scenes would like input from our beloved members as well as I would like to hear from you in your own words some of the answers for myself...

Please post your thoughts and comments and please also take part in the poll...

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

Please post comments that are intended on sharring your true feelings, but also try to be courteous in your negative comments if any as there are soo many people that truly work very hard to keep our beloved site at the fine level we enjoy it at and I do not want to offend anyone in any way... I am just asking for true constructive comments...

I have my own answers to the above questions, but I want to hear from you first... LOL...

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

It helps me stay connected to people in the outside world. For the first time in like 15 years I am not working at a "job" (besides doing event photography) and facebook was becoming stagnant for me. It also gives me something to be passionate about. My husband has so many interests and hobbies and I had NONE (besides photography) before I discovered Disney pins.

It also means that I can help my son grow his collection because he appreciates these tiny pieces of metal like some feel about treasure. And I love that something so "simple" can give us something to bond over.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

The people, of course. Making trading. Zapping....love that. I love how organized the forum is and how we can bypass ebay and support each other here.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

Fix the freaking frackin server. Seriously. I will PAY to have a membership to the site if I have to. It's annoying! LOL

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

Do you mean with Disney or with us here. My answers are DRASTICALLY different for each! <3

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
Primarily Information, but it has become my secret drama vice. Some of the stuff here is better than the Kardashians!!! LOL

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
The Information, the friendships made thru this site.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
Maybe a home page that can lead better to info or the threads, news section(Upcoming releases) some blogs, reviews of pins that are not just threads to be lost. To me the threads are a great place of discussion, but a updated news page would be awesome.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

This site is also a means of connecting to others about a hobby I love. Despite living down the street from WDW I am unable to trade as often as I would like to. Doesn't help that one of my collections is not widely collected and the other is hard as heck to collect! (Lion King and Tangled)

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

The people! Everyone is great and I just love to read random topics. Its a great place to learn about the hobby and get news. I don't know how all of you get the new pins information before they pop up on disneypins.com - but I appreciate it!

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

I love everything about the site - but I have to agree that the server issue is annoying :)

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

I just wish people would not charge outrageous prices when they resell...but I will honestly admit that I have paid the prices for some of Rapunzel's. Why is collecting pins so addicting?

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life??? It's my online "happy place."

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit??? (1) Great pin trading community - I've made friends from all around the world on this forum. (2) Access to reliable information about new pins and upcoming pin-related events. (3) Fun games and occasional sales.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site??? I really like the way DPF is now. I can't think of any changes I'd like made off the top of my head. Edit: Okay, yeah, the server needs to be fixed. I would happily pay a small membership fee to get that problem taken care of, too. :)

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be??? Destroy all the scrappers. Kill all the sharks. (Okay, maybe killing them would be just a wee bit harsh. How about just making them walk the plank and fend for their lives against the real sharks?)

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

When I first found out about DPF, I had no idea that it would be such a big thing in my life. It means the world to me now, more because of the people. I never in a million years thought that people who I never met in person, would mean the world to me. It really has let me be more of an active and social person. I have met so many wonderful people and the generosity is so wonderful. DPF has helped me for the future, actually be able to meet these wonderful pin traders that have a common hobby with me in person! If not for DPF, I would never have crossed paths with any of them. They truly make my life wonderful in ways even I can't even understand.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

The different discussions, the people of course!, that I am able to find out information about new pins, that I can trade and buy stuff without having to go on eBay or to the parks when it obviously is geographically challenging for me.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

Although there will always be drama, I hate it when people fight :(
That the system is always breaking lol I need my DPF! I can't stay away! lol

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

Not really sure at the moment, but I know that I would love if Disney Stores by my house carried pins. It makes it so hard to buy pins when they are released!

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
This site means so much to me right now. I come here everyday and check the forum whenever I get a chance. I've recently discovered chat and it is such great fun! I love all of the people here and I think of members here as my closest friends. You are all such wonderful and amazing people! My friends here cheer me up when I am sad and are so kind to me.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
Like Stacey said, the people. I love you all so much. You are all kind and hilarious and just fun to chat with! The games are fun and I love seeing pictures of everyone's collections and trading events! Zapping is a wonderful thing as well and I hope to start doing it this year!! (Well more often)
I love the auction house as well! When I first saw this site, that was one of the things that intrigued me. :) This site has shown me that there is so much more to pin trading than meets the eye! I thank you all for that! :D

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
I, too would like to see the server error fixed! I think an expansion of Gis' "Pins@cost" games would be nice to help out members who are far away from DSF or WDW or DLP or DLR.. And no more breaking the forum!! (Darris, this means you!)

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

One thing? Hmmm. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it if Tangled pins weren't so hard to find and expensive!!! Higher LEs, more OEs, and More Flynn, Pascal, Gothel, and Maximus and Rapunzel poses..

Otherwise... No I can't really complain. :) Everyone here is fantastic and I am thrilled and blessed to be a member of this forum!!

Group hug! ;)

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

DPF sucks the life out of me, in a good way. LOL. I am on it constantly, morning & night! It has replaced facebook as my go-to forum (no more FB games, sorry my plants are dying in Farmville!)

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

The chat room! The comraderie amongst the members.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

Hmm, I'd like our colors back in the chatroom! Also more emoticons. Like the ones we can have in our messages on the forum and even more (I really want a fist-shaking emoticon), like this one, but with a fist! :nono:

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

I wish the pins would be more affordable! It would also be great if people stopped being well, whiny, about pins. LOL.

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
A lot of info on new releases. A funny place to watch people go insane. Also a great way to chat with folks and open up your trade book to more people around the world.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
Information on new releases that Id totally like a dope miss out on, and a few of the chill people around here.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
More banning people I don't like lol JK . But Improvements are tough to share and stay totally positive so Ill leave that one alone.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
More Pin events! Less pin Rapunzel Pins. More Boo from monsters INC pins lol. But seriously some Tangled supporting cast OE's would be nice so its not available to only profiteers or sharks (I don't even collect Rapunzel but I'm sick of it only getting released at DSF and watching people go nuts and wanting to start gang wars over them) .More GWP pins .

I spend more time than I probably should on this forum :)

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
Pins saved me from a lot of worse addictions. I don't really ever share personal stuff on here but thats how it is and how I switched to pins. This forum was the first place that got me into online trading, I traded on here long before I ever made a pinpics trade.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
I've made some very good friends on here, so I like to talk to them (although I talk to some outside of the forum now) and I like finding out new pins before they go up on pinpics.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
Less error messages due to overloaded bandwidth, I said this before but I'd be happy to help with anything that can change that. :)

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
Less fighting/lying/cheating. People caring less about the $$ and more about making their fellow traders happy. A pipe dream but you asked for honesty.

DPF is a place to meet great people in the hobby and help each other obtain the pins that each of us are after. Isn't that what a hobby is? You meet new people and try to obtain what you really want. I often ask myself, "Why do I have so many pins in my trader book?" If these pins are one's that I don't have an attachment to, then there must be a way to get them to people who really desire them. Pinpics is a great tool, but I often have to write "Willing to trade multiple pins" when sending out trade requests. I think it would be GREAT if there was some way to COMBINE PINPICS WITH GOOFY'S AUCTION IDEA.
For example, trader A has this da le 100 in their traders

trader B has no matches on pinpics with trader A, but would be willing to offer these 4 pins

There's no current way to do this offer. This may be a trade that trader A would consider, but as it is now...there's no way to know.

Or another idea is a way to list who has what on the forum with a small note about what they'd consider for trade. Imagine that you're looking for this pin and you aren't having any luck. You simply click on a page on DPF and look for this pin. When you find it, it shows who on dpf has it and what they're looking for in trade. It may say "looking for marquees"..."looking for multiple good Le's"..."make an offer"...etc

The listings could be organized by categories:

DA 100 pins

DA pins

DSF pins

WDI pins

DLR pins

WDW pins

PARIS pins

Hidden Mickeys

Pre- 2005 rack pins

2005 -present rack pins

etc

Just an idea :)

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
DPF is a great source of fun! DPF also provides an outlet for me as well as opportunities to “meet†other people and make new friendships! I bought my first Disney pin in 1986 during my daughter’s first trip to Disneyland. She’s grown up and married now and I’ve been by myself for 12+ years. DPF provides a much needed connection with people, which is all the more special as those people also share a love for Disney pins! And it is THE place to go since Dizpins closed!!

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
It’s a great place to get good information about all things Disney as well as Disney Pins! You can find lots of info about upcoming pins releases, changes in park conditions as they relate to pin trading, etc. DPF provides international pin information too as well as great communications with International Pin Collectors! I get to “see†Disney through the eyes of many different cultures! Fantastic!! And it allows me to keep in touch with all my pin buddies as well as new and old friends!

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
The issue with the server is definitely something that I would like see improved! And imagine this problem will continue to increase as our fantastic DPF membership increases! I would be happy to contribute a little every now and then to help with the cost of the upkeep but not sure membership is the way to go as it would most likely limit the people who just visit occasionally looking for “good†information. Sharing this good information ultimately helps us all!

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
There are lots of different types of people in this hobby and that makes it much more interesting! … I would like to see people be more accepting and much less critical of others no matter if they post all the time or only once in a blue moon. Also, it would be great to have some of the highly sought after pins have higher edition sizes … not sure that alone will help but it sure couldn’t hurt, lol!

DPF is a wonderful thing for me … I’ve made some terrific friends and it’s allowed me to dust off my pin fairy godmother wings often! I really enjoy making people happy and knowing that just maybe I’ve shared a little sunshine with them! I come from a very small family and DPF has given me many more “family†members and that makes me very happy!!

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

It really does mean quite a lot, especially to Hollie. We have made some amazing friends that she always wants to talk to and she talks about, using screen names sometimes which can sound quite odd. We feel we have true friends that we would love to meet. It is great to have a place where everyone shares the passion and love for Disney.
It allows us to collect and trade pins. Without the use of DPF we would not be able to be involved in this hobby to anywhere near the extent we are and we would not be able to enjoy it like we do. It is something that brings me and Hollie together and DPF certainly helps with this common interest.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

My favorite thing of all is the community of DPF, the diversity that it includes and the different peronalities that you get to know in this hobby. The kindness that is seen throughout the thread in the zapping and trading. To see all the pins that make people happy, and the happiness it brings to people. We have made loads of great friends and it makes our day to here from these friends, we spend plenty of time and chat and looking at our inbox hoping for a message. To try the little we can to support people and try and spread a little happiness of our own.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

I would like the option of being able to expand the size of the inbox, and space to store messages.
What I would also like to see is some development of the chat, allowing different options and making more areas in the chat for discussions.
An Automatic function for new users to fill in an intoduction thread, that way they don't have to find their way to it and can ask any questions they might have.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

The one thing I would change is people caring less about the money and more about making their fellow traders happy. We have seen a lot of this lately and it brings such positivity and happiness to this hobby :). To add on their is no place for Sharks only caring about the money and not at all the pins.

firstly my poll answer kinda frightened me and had made me rethink my priorities! LOL

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life? It is my social outlet. Where I can "talk" to other adult people. having a 4 yr old and 1 yr old and being a stay home mom... i need that!!!

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit?? Hands down, the community. Which is likely why I get so frustrated when I see people arguing. :)

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site? Chat needs to be upgraded back to the color fonts and such.. I miss my favorite smiley and the color fonts to know who is who. The Invite only groups should NOT have their "new" posts visible to the general public on the "new posts" link.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would you change? I have said it before and I will say it again, and again, and again... Despite getting flak for my opinion. The hobby needs a grading system.

Seeing as I have no idea what this will do, I'll answer!!! ^_^

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

To me, DPF stands for Disney Pin Forum...not too sure what else you were expecting :suspect: jkjkjk

I'm not really sure, I find this question kind of vague. I mean DPF means a significant part of my hobbies and internet life along with a bunch of new friends I've just met a few months ago. However, I've only been here for a few short months so I'm not entirely sure DPF evolves into something greater for me since I'm often quite busy with college classes, conservatory classes, constant trips to the city, and then when I'm home I'm always on DPF lol (which is daily but not for 4 hours haha xD)

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

Easily the people. I'd love to say the pins but I don't see DPF as a hub for pins but more like a station or gateway through which they passed through. Easily the best thing about DPF is how kind the people are and how fun it is to get on and see what the newest PM is or the newest thread topic is, especially considering being by NYC, I'm cut off from a lot of the pin trading news seeing as not being directly by the park can sometimes be bad. :(

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

I'm still relatively new so I don't see many faults with the site. For me, maybe because I have a basic grasp of technology, I can easily navigate it, have no problems really using it and making stuff, and I have a ton of fun with it. The only thing I think could make the site MORE fun is if there were different layouts to it (like themes that could change the way the entire forum looks to customize it for people) unless that feature is already available and I'm just too new to not even know it haha

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???\

This really doesn't pertain so much to DPF as it does to pin trading as a whole, but you posed the question considering "the hobby" being handled as a whole. So I really hate to see how the pins are marked so high in price both sometimes here and on Ebay. I'm not calling anyone out and a lot of times the prices are very fair. However, I have seen times where people are marking pins up to around Ebay prices to more (usually for pins I don't want because I specifically try to avoid pins that sell highly AKA Tangled, PODM, etc.) and I just feel like, if I wanted the pin for that price, I'd have already bought it on Ebay, where it was listed for that price ages ago haha xD

Besides that, I'd also like Disney to make more KINGDOM HEARTS PIN!!! DEFINITELY Kingdom Hearts pins...

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

It's a wonderful way for a Toronto girl to connect with people all over the world who share this insane addiction.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

The support members give to each other and the wealth of information available here.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

Like everyone else said, fix the server.
Also, I'd love to see an organized structure for arranging grail chains (but I honestly have no idea what that would look like!)

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

Higher edition sizes so people could get the pins they want at reasonable prices. A pin is no more attractive to me because fewer people have it.

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???

Oh gosh...where to begin!! DPF has really brought something exciting back into my life. I've always been a collector, but as of late a lot of my collections just weren't giving me the joy I used to get out of them. I was tampering with the thought of being a pin collector, especially after my last trip to WDW last spring. But I didn't know where to start! I found out about this forum through the doll information actually. I joined, then didn't log in for quite some time, and then finally got back in to it. I posted an introduction post, and all of the members made me feel so very welcome! Everyone was beyond friendly and it really felt as if each person cared. I then proceeded to post images of my collection, most of which consisted of scrappers I had acquired at the parks. Instead of belittling my collection or telling me it was fake, everyone who commented had lovely things to say! This really encouraged me to start a more legitimate collection, especially when I started learning about scrappers. This was a pleasant change from my entrance into the BJD community, in which I posted a doll I didn't know was fake and have been put on the "watch out" list for several years because of it. I couldn't believe how inviting it felt! I started wanting more pins, and I had assistance from many kind and helpful members! In my first month of activity, I was even zapped one of my grail pins by the wonderful docfish2u! I didn't even know what zapping was before this happened, and only accessed that part of the forum after the instance occurred. Not only was I moved to tears by my own gift, but seeing all of the kindness the other forum members displayed on a daily basis...it was truly moving! I really feel as if the majority of members on this website truly care for one another, and want to help their fellow pin collector out. I think that is what makes DPF so inviting, like a family! I love it!

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

I love how nice everyone is (if I didn't express that enough already...I JUST LOVE YOU ALL OKAY). I also love how the site is organized, and how there are fun activities to do like auctions and games :D I also am a frequent visitor of the chat room. It entertains me for hours!

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???

Just the site going down sometimes is a bit frustrating, but I can live with it for sure! I know maintaining and updating websites is not cheap!

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???

Well, I think for the most part the hobby seems very well handled! I feel as if sometimes individuals take certain things too personally, which is unfortunate, because I don't think a lot of people say things with ill intent. I just wish everyone would get along all the time lol.

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
DPF is the one place that I can go and talk to other people about my love of Disney pins. And Disney stuff. And anything else really. It's an extension of my family in a way. I've made new friends and its always great when I get to meet someone from the forum in person. Its an escape from stress, it fuels my pin addiction, and it makes me smile when I am having a hard day. DPF helped me through some very tough times, and I am very thankful for that. When I first started pin trading, I joined Dizpins. I always felt a little ostracized . With DPF, I feel like a valued member of the pin community. I thank all of you members for making me feel at home here on the forum.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
The people. Wonderful pin traders who look out for each other and help one another out. I've been helped out many times, and I try to help out when I can. The sense of community that there is, and not only here in the forum. You can see it when there are gatherings, and it makes you feel like an accepted member of this crazy hobby.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
I do miss the event reports. There should also be more video of pin gatherings like there used to be. I think the DPF Youtube channel isn't used enough! More videos of pin nights, events, DSF line ups, and cat. Cat videos. Cats with pins.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
Less frustration and time dedication when it comes to DSF releases. I'd love a random selection process. Also, we need more pin events (Remember the early Disneyland summer pin events!?) and Monthly pin trading nights.

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
DPF gives me a place to go to share a hobby that everyone around here enjoys. It always has something that gives me a smile no matter what my mood is. DPF allows me to trade even when I am unable to get to the parks.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
The stories of the generosity of the members. The way this community cares for each other and is always willing to lend a hand to help out others.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
A seperrate section that is just about what new pins are being released and when.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
Have away people that don't live near a park or DSF be able to buy release pins at cost. Allow everyone to be able to purchase pins and any merchandise from any of the Disney online stores. Setup more trade nights. Have trading nights available at all Disney stores. Have better cast lanyard pins here in the states like they do in Paris.

  1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
It’s a great way for me to keep up with what’s going on with pin trading and it puts me in contact with people who have similar interests, people who get just as excited about bits of metal as me (:p). It also gives me a place to go to be able to kinda ignore the world.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???

I love being able to see what other people collect and see what’s going on. There are loads of great threads and loads of great people.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
I’d love to see the server being a little more stable, a little less drama. I wish it were easier to get pins at cost, but I know people have to deal with crap to get them, so I understand.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
I’m not sure. There are lots of things that could change. Art work, edition sizes, the variation of characters and poses. I would love to see more variation in common characters, a larger number of less common characters. I would love to have DS.com pins come back, and open Disney Auctions back up. I would also really like to smack non-collector resellers who are jerks about prices.

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
DPF and pin collecting/trading in general is my escapism. When I come on this site, which is at least once a day, I always feel a little more centered. I don't talk a lot about my personal life on here, but I'm stressed out. (I will spare you the boring details on that). DPF and pins help relieve some of that angst. I rarely go on facebook anymore. I like going somewhere I can read and talk about a hobby I enjoy without all the personal drama. Disney movies have always helped me relieve stress, ever since I was little. DPF is an extension of that for me.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
The generousness and kindness of the community. I haven't been to a trading event yet (hoping to go in September) but even online you can sense the overall kindness in this community. I know there can be drama and we have our issues, but overall I think people here have good intentions.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
I'd like to see more pics and videos for events. Maybe more blogs around trading events.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
Scrappers, of course. I would also like to see Disney beef up their online releases. I think if they offered more high quality pins online, the DPF releases wouldn't be so insane. It would also help those of us not close to the parks to be able to compete without having to always look to the secondary market.

1. What does the forum mean to me in my life... its an open door with a welcome sign, where if I need someone to talk to when I need it most, there is someone on the other end wanting to listen and help. It has brought me into a whole new world of pin trading, a community thats loves helping each other out and bring happiness to each other. I've met so many new wonderful friends, and aquaintences its an amazing family. It has changed my life quite a lot in just the short time I've been a member.

My favorite thing about the forum, the opportunities I have to trade and conversate and make new friends, im not just sending out a request and hope I get a response, I get to talk and even meet before trading, and make new friends and even put a smile on someone who mabey is having a rough time, I love zapping, and seeing others zapped, opening thier mailbox expecting only bills, but instead a surprise in a brown envelope.this is a wonderful place.

Whay I would change, I would like to see the ability to have a reserve on auctions, I don't seem to have the best of luck in auctions and mabey im not offering super exciting pins, I would be willing to put up better pins if there was a way to have a reserve.

Thank you moe for all you do here. Your terrific

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
its a great way for me to keep up with whats going on in the world of pin trading. Also, I get to learn about other peoples personal drama/issues.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
DPF is a great place to meet other pin traders from around the world, see their collections, and trade with them. It is also one of the only resources available to understand more about pin trading, counterfeits and upcoming releases.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
It would be great to have the ability to IM people outside of the chat room.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
Individual numbering of limited edition pins to help eliminate scrappers.

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
It's a great place to come for information about a hobby I'm just getting into. That was my initial purpose for coming here, but after just a couple months, it's becoming more of a place to converse with people I've met through the hobby.

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
The community and wealth of knowledge that is available here. The chat room is great and I feel like I've made friends with people in the short time I've been here.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
Give me a few months and I can probably think of something.

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be?? More offerings online! I've heard about the glory days of staying up late on Sundays to score pins online, but I missed out on all the fun. Living vicariously through you guys who camp out ridiculous amounts of hours is only going to be fun for so much longer. ;)

1. What does the DPF site mean to you in your life???
At first, I joined DPF for information about disney store doll releases (like the Designer Princesses, Designer Villians, and 17" LEs). Recently, I've made a few friends on this site, so now I view DPF as a way to stay in touch with those people (and hopefully make even more new friends!) It's an excellent way to meet people who share my interests. :)

2. What are your favorite things about DPF that makes this site a place you like to visit???
I love the people here. Yes, this site does get a lot of drama- but there are enough kind and generous people here to more than even things out. I love the chat room as well- I've met so many fun and interesting people there! And I also love the information about releases in the Other Disney Collectibles section.

3. What improvements would you like to see in the future of our site???
It'd be nice if the server issues could get fixed. However, I don't agree with the suggestion of a membership fee. I think such a fee would really discourage new members from joining! Maybe someone could start a donation drive instead?

4. If there was any one thing that you would like to see changed in how things pertaining to our beloved hobby are handled, what would that be???
More online releases would be great! Also, it'd be nice if CM lanyards didn't have so many scrappers/ counterfeits- maybe if Disney sold bulk lots of pins for trading with CMs less people would be tempted to buy fakes on ebay? Like, if Disney sold packages of Hidden Mickeys for CM lanyard trading purposes.
