So Echoharmony started this thread asking who has never been zapped before. I thought to myself I have never been zapped so I should throw a little reply up there, which I did.:hsd: Well unbeknownst to me there was already something in the mail that I had no idea about. You see the wonderful Docfish2U was sending my Psycho Pixie wife some pins and he threw in a little something extra for me.

When she came in from checking the mail I noticed a box that was addressed to both of us, and asked who is that from? She said it's pins you'll see.:suspect: "But I am not expecting any pins" I say. She say "I know". :anxious: She opens the box and hands me a bubble wrapped package, which of course I start to open. And to my surprise what do I see:


Ummm Holy cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I try and collect three main stitch pin types which is him in a chefs hat, him with ducks and him with or as a dog. I never expected anything like this very hard to get DA pin would end up on on my doorstep like this.:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

So a huge thank you to Docfish2u for this amazing zap. I am overwhelmed.:shock::hsd::wiggle::bigthumb:


Oh and not to be left out Doc also sent this zap to my wife:


As many know she collects horses and this is a pin she has been after for some time now. So from her as well. Thanks Doc.:hsd::wiggle:
 
I was kinda speechless when i opened the package to see the dumbo zebra David is an amazing wonderful person and I cannot thank him enough for all the great things he does in this community!

Cant wait to see you down at DLR in April! We definitely gotta hang out!
 
Well first off I am so happy you guys like your zaps. I can tell it is your first zap since you posted it here instead of the zaps forum

Let me give everybody a little background here. Every year we get to go to Disneyland for our vacation and I love to pin trade while we are there. I am usually at the tables with my pinbooks and Amy (my loving wife) goes on the rides. The last 2 years we have been down there we had the pleasure of trading with Tom and Kristine (Phoenix and Psycho Pixie). This was before I was involved here at DPF. Now they don't know us from Adam, but they were always so nice in trading with out of towners. Kristine always made sure to trade several Tinks with my wife each trip. Again, I doubt she would remember us without seeing us in person. If she trades so nicely with us, she must do that for a lot of people. So now fast forward to May (I think) and I am starting to get involved here mostly with the auctions and what do I see? A link to Kristine's youngest beautiful girl and her trials and tribulations. Well her 2 girls are very hard to forget and I put 2 and 2 together and realize who this wonderful lady is. So as I get to know the crazy one more and more here at DPF I am beginning to understand how truly special she is. Always with fun, unusual auctions and general all around really nice lady. So now fast forward to last month and the Psycho one and I are both bidding on this pin that Tom wants. (I didn't know she was bidding on it for Tom at the time) So I decide to win it as a zap for him since he has also been really nice to me and told Kristine what I was doing (yes Tom she new about it for a while). What she didn't realize was in chat one day we were talking about podm's and she mentioned she only wanted the ones with horses. I just so happened to be paying attention (my kids would never believe that was possible) and found this one on ebay so of course I had to get it to be a complete surprise for Kristine. What I didn't realize was that there would be another one put up on ebay quite so soon. I wanted to be sure she didn't get that one so I won it also. (Side note here, when my wife found out we won another one she tells me "I like horses too". So now that one is also spoken for.)

So to make a long story short (I know too late for that) Tom and Kristine are 2 of the nicest people we have ever dealt with!!! If you ever have the privilege of trading with them, do so, they are fantastic people. I bet you 2 never realized what an impact you have on other people just by being yourselves!!!


You never know who you are going to make an impression on so be nice when you are trading. Pin karma is a great thing!!! Most importantly remember, pin trading is suppose to be fun!!!
 
David, I have to be honest I am terrible with names and faces. But as soon as you mentioned the tinker bell trades with my wife I remembered you guys. Can't wait to see you again in April. And thanks again from the bottom of my heart. This was so awesome.

It may get moved to the zaps thread, but with these two amazing pins I wanted to get what you did for us out there.
 
What great zaps, but it was so nice reading about how you guys met! I always say you never know the impression you will make on people so always be kind and treat everyone like you would want to be treated. It was so nice reading this, I like to hear about stories about great people who just happen to trade pins!
 
David way to make a long story short.:rofl: xo Sweet pins --i really love the PODM! anyway onto ME!!! are you both in DLR this april cause my hubby just said he has to teach a class in anehiem in APRIL!!! i may have some influence as to the dates so one of u PM me and let me know when you are there---unless you dont want to see me then keep it a secret.

We need to et up pretrades, cause i cant bring alot of traders, pain on the airplane.
 

Yeah! we need some dates! toms B-day is the 13th. We were wondering if you were gonna be down before, during, or after.
 
I have to agree with you David. I haven't been here very long and Kristine made me feel very welcome right off the bat by answering all of my questions and showing me the ropes.

Congrats Kristine & Tom on your zaps! They are wonderful!
 

Hey, if I can bring over 1000 pins with me you can bring some friggin traders with you!!!
