*wipes drool from keyboard*

Ugh, Evanora is BEAUTIFUL...

Thank you SO much for sharing these pics... I cannot WAIT to get down to a Disney Store to see if they have these PRONTO! :hsd: ^_^ :D

LOL, oh sure.... and she is my favorite too! :) I have wanted a Rachel Weisz doll since the Mummy came out in '99! HA! When you get your dolls, please post pics :)

Love them!! Thanks for sharing. I plan on getting all of them, but at the moment I'm trying to save my money just in case they release a 17" LE doll. ;)

Group Photos of My Oz Dolls - Disney Store and Tollytots

Thanks for posting photos of your beautiful Oz dolls. I hope you don't mind my piggybacking on your thread, to post photos of my collection of Oz dolls. I will post a few group photos of the dolls, so you can compare the Disney Store vs Tollytot dolls. In general, the DS dolls are better quality, better looking, and more movie accurate than the Tollytot dolls. However, the Tollytot China Girl 14'' doll is an amazing doll. She is beautiful and completely ball jointed, so has better articulation than any DS doll. I highly recommend her, especially since she is 1/9th the price of the DS LE 500 19'' doll. The other Tollytot doll that I would recommend would be the Oz (Oscar Diggs) doll. He has a slimmer, better proportioned and better articulated body than the DS doll, and has a better fitting outfit. Also he comes with the mini 4'' China Girl doll, which happens to be identical to the one that the Disney Store is selling separately for $9.50.

Gahhh! So jealous of your beautiful collection. I seriously need to find a better-paying job. lol

Gah! My local stores still haven't received (or at least shelved) the Tolly Tots dolls yet. I really think I want the China Girl doll. She's super adorable...and kinda creepy on some levels if I am gonna be totally honest. And the Tolly Tots Oz doll...so doesn't look like James Franco. But instead, he looks like a male model that I've had a crush on that is used like crazy for the Halloween costumes and other clothes each year.
I'm also not personally sold on either Oz dolls. Male fashion is kind of always boxy and when translated to a doll...looks extra boxy.
I LOVE both the wicked witches from Disney and own both.
Glinda, she looks so super like the actress and gorgeous, I'm just not sold on her yet simply because I haven't seen the movie and this realization of the character. I might just buy one anyway....maybe...we'll see. ;)

Oh DRJ, I love your pics immensely! Thank you for posting!!!! I want to come over to your house to play!!! :)

Hurry up Friday, I want to go down to the Disney Store and look at these!

Omg! I am so with you on this! I have also been a fan of Rachel Weisz since The Mummy! Thank you for posting pics up of these dolls from all angles! :) Between these and DRJ1828's wonderful photos, I decided to order the DS Evanora and Oscar dolls online. I plan on putting them alongside Mattel's upcoming May new releases of their 1939 Wizard of Oz-based dolls, which looks to have the best likenesses for the actresses Billie Burke (Glinda) and Margaret Hamilton (the Wicked Witch of the West) in 11.5" doll form to date. It will be a real hodge-podge of Oz movie characters, but at least it will be one-doll-per-character and the dolls will actually strongly resemble their respective actors. :)

:p I think I know of which model you're talking about here! LOL

Unfortunately, I am not sold on Glinda being blonde. I guess that is a result from the popularity of the musical Wicked. Glinda is supposed to have red hair (at least that is how she is descrived in the books).

I also have my Wizard of Oz dolls out beside them :) but if they're coming out with a better Glinda and Witch (1939), I may have to get them!

Thanks for posting the links! I was wondering where to find pics of them. :) I really want Glinda!! She looks amazing. The Wicked Witch of the West kind of scares me...I think it's because she's bringing back memories I had when I was younger...and how afraid I was of her and her flying monkeys! lol

I really want to get the Barbie witches. I wish I was in to this doll collecting a while ago. I ADORE their interpretation of the Wicked Witch of the East.

Also, I finally got the Tolly Tots China Girl doll. Just because of comparison...SHE LOOKS HUGE!!!! I'll be displaying her with my Finley plush I bought so she looks less GIANT compared to everything else I have. Plus, I really appreciate how she looks like she's all fancy and breakable because of the gloss and appearance of the plastic, but feels like she could withstand a drop. (God forbid I ever drop anything in my collection though. I'd feel like I was reenacting the scene from the Lion King where Mufasa falls to his death...which is also how I feel if I drop my cell phone.)

today I bought the Tollytots Theodora doll ;) and I think I want the China girl ;)

Ok, again, these are not the Disney dolls, so I hope I'm not overstepping the forum rules, but since they were brought up and they are Oz-themed, here are the pictures of the new Mattel Wicked Witch of the West doll (Margaret Hamilton) and Glinda (Billie Burke) doll for comparison to the Disney Oz the Great and Powerful dolls. These are slated to be released in May and retail for $34.95 each, but you can pre-order them now. There will also be a new Dorothy doll.

You know, the more I see that Tolly Tots Theodora, the more I want Disney to release a Red Outfitted Theodora as well. I really like the glamor of the ridding outfit. But, you know, she also has a pretty gown too. So, I hope they do make a DMC doll of her too. :)

And, China Girl...I really want to know if she has a "real name" other than China Girl. I know nothing really about her and her character...but I really want to know if she is "Ozma" or if they ever will introduce her in the movies.

I don't think she is Ozma, in the book by Baum there are little China people that Dorothy meets and interacts with, that's where she is from - a nod to the book. And they may release a LE doll of her, but I highly doubt at this point we will get a 12" version. I'm thinking they would have already released her with the other 4... If I'm wrong I'll be a little miffed seeing as I bought the Tollytots version assuming she's the only 12" version we will get. Their version of the China Girl is very beautiful!!!! Can't wait to get her!!! ;)

Are these 12" dolls or 17" collectible dolls? I'm just hoping for a 17" collection of these dolls.

So far, the human Oz characters have been released only as 12" dolls. The China Girl dolls have come in different sizes ranging from 4" to 14" to 17" from the Disney Store and other toy companies. :) Many people are hoping for a 17" LE Oz doll release to coincide with the film's release date (as it was with Brave and Wreck-It Ralph).

Hey, did you guys see that there is now going to be a new promo code for 40% off? It starts this weekend and is BONUS40. The fine print says that it doesn't apply to limited edition merchandise...but I think this will be the push I needed to buy Glinda and Oz...and maybe her wand too...and maybe another Wicked Witch of the West doll to debox. ;)
