It is hard to tell. In the past some of the more popular pins have sold out in a month or two. On the other hand some of the less popular pins have hung around for years. PatF, which came out when that movie was released on DVD, is still available. I would guess maybe 1000? I can't imagine a fairly small part of the Disney company ordering 5000 pins when Disney Parks and Disney Store almost never release anything that big.
 
So I'm a DMC member but I am NOT a VIP member and I was able to order some :)
The lady on the phone told me that VIP members get the pin for free with each movie purchase but since
im not VIP yet I was still able to buy some :)
 
I'm starting to see that the information we get from DMC varies from person to person. They have the Olaf pin, they don't. They're on backorder, they're not. There's a limit, there's not. I've even had different shipping amounts charged for different orders of the same # of pins. I guess it all depends on who you talk to. :)

That is strange because it saya VIP Pin Store on the site. I think you got lucky with the "different people know different things" bug haha.

I've had 9 shipped and an order for 2 more was confirmed (just a few minutes ago - still too early for a shipment confirmation).

My first order was 4 pins - I ordered over the phone and was told 4 pins was limit.
My second order was 5 pins - I also ordered these over the phone and was told 5 was the limit
My third order was through the website and for 2 pins - I really hope these ship
 
I called a few hours ago and the person I spoke with said the pin was for VIPs only, and my account doesn't show I'm VIP yet. But after seeing on here and on Facebook that they were letting some non-VIPs order them, I just called back and the person who helped me let me place an order for three of the pins. She was able to add the pins to the shipment of DVDs I ordered earlier today, so they should arrive in 7-10 days.

Phwew! I was afraid that it was going to sell out before my VIP status was reflected.
 
Just to help everyone out. I didn't even have a Disney Movie Club account until yesterday at about 4:00. I was able to sign up. Buy enough movies to get VIP status and then I was able to add a pin to my order. After realizing I could have ordered more. I called back and was able to add 3 more. Both Cast Members I talked to said the pin was for VIP only and was limited edition. (The second CM had to check if there were any left to add to my order, luckily there were) Don't believe Facebook. It is VIP ONLY.
 
I called again to order 3 more and the lady said it was ONLY VIP but since the person
I talked to before let me order 2 then she let me order 3 more xD
But yes it was a mistake and I just got lucky :P

^^ This! When I ordered the first time I ordered 4 and was not charged shipping. Called again yesterday and ordered 4 more and was charged $8 in shipping. Very odd. The first 4 are coming up shipped, the last 4 say pending since I just ordered yesterday. No one told me there was a limit so I guess we'll see what happens.
 
DMC usually has free shipping on ALL merchandise. When I called I got free shipping but I looked online just now and there seems to be shipping charges ONLY for the Olaf pin. I tried ordering a stuffed animal and then a different pin and neither had shipping charges. I guess they have to charge shipping for Olaf because crazy people like us are ordering so many. ;)
 
I just tried this, yep no extra shipping charges. It will only let me order 3 at a time on the website. After three it won't
let me add any more to the cart.
