To help you get comfortable with the process, and show you how it works.
And of course to allow those who do not have high end pins to get involved with this aspect of the community.

:bowdown:What can you expect in this auction?
  1. A leader-board once a day, more often if several bids are placed in one 24 hour period.
  2. honest open communication if you have questions/concerns.
  3. a winner will be announced within 24 hours of auction end time.
  4. The winner is expected to ship their pin within 48 hours of notification and address exchange. I will do the same.
  5. pins should be shipped well wrapped in a padded envelope.
  6. pins should be mailed with a delivery confirmation or tracking number. International is exempt from this requirement, but should still be shipped in a timely manner.
  7. itrader feedback will be submitted by auctioneer and winning bidder within 24 hours of receiving the pins.

Cool auction concept ! May the odds forever be in your favor.Ive been at this for like 8 months so I feel I'vr been at this a bit too long.And also I dont collect Mickey lol
 
so, to help understand reasoning for this order or leaders. While the mickey ears is not something on my wants, and the t/w value is even, it is a jumbo. and I like the jewels. I know someone who likes the nerds, so while they are not AWESOME pins, I like them better than the jack... NBC is likely my least fav disney movie... However, jack is a dlrp and is positive trade to wants value. which makes it better than the grand prix pin.

When bidding, look at the auctioneers wants, and try to find things similar to them if possible, when you cannot... Then aim for something of similar value; compare trades to wants, edition size(if applicable) current dollar value and sometimes original retail.

Keep the bids coming. And you are totally allowed to change your bids or add to them. Auction etiquette dictates that if you are in the top 2 or 3, you should not retract your bid. But that doesnt mean you could not totally change it to different pins if you want to. In a high stakes auction, retracting your bid in a polite manner allows other people the chance to increase their bids and make leader-board without going through you.

yup! thats how it works....

when your not in first you have a few options.
  1. Add to your bid. if your WERE in first and someone out bids you, this is your best option. you already know the auctioneer liked your bid. adding is easier than starting over.
  2. start over. your best bet when you do not make the leader board at all. There are exceptions, such as when the auctioneer says something like, "I love those pins, but they are not good enough to beat #1..."
  3. Let it go. Do you REALLY need/want this pin? is it a keeper or a trader? Are there other auctions which your pins might be better used in?
  4. make funny jokes and do any one of the above. I like this option. I like funny jokes, or gif or video's. but thats just me
