Online Pin Trading Night???

Hey there Princes and Princesses,

It's me again with another crazy post. After Friday PTN at DLR I was itching to do it again as soon as possible. Now I know there are the tables at LGM where people congregate, but at the moment school and work is requiring me to limit my park action. So I thought to myself, why not make an online pin trading night type thing!

Hear me out. lol This is merely an idea that may be flawed and highly improbable but I was thinking that through google hangouts or skype a group of us can congregate online and show off our pins via video chat form. If there was an interest to trade we would contact each other and send out the pins. Now I know we have our beautiful forum to do just that but I personally sometimes want to see the pin before I receive it and also get to know the wonderful trader I'm receiving it from.

Who knows, this idea might be loco but it's worth putting out to the pin universe.:wiggle:

Ooh I like this idea, although I don't currently have much to trade right now. It'd have to be UK time friendly though
 
Good idea! Couldn't it be set up here on the forum? Set a scheduled time, meet in the chat room or start a thread, and you can see who's involved, check out their traders, and contact them via pm or in the chat room.
 
can we have an online dj so it feels like were partying it up. when i pin trade i need to drink like La Loca Lohan. Pin trading gives me anxiety.

So you're saying eliminate the video chat and just have a time where everyone can meet?

How about both chat room and a thread. Have a thread for those that can't get into chat room. Everyone who wants to participate posts on the thread...so you can have access to everyone's traders. Then pm or chat to try to setup trades.

Having a thread would also allow people to post pictures of their traders.
 
How about we have an online pin trading day once a week? Every Saturday? Make it all day for international to be involved. Those who want to participate post in a thread for the trading day and it begins. Sounds pretty straight forward and fun
 
That sounds like fun!! I highly doubt I'll be able to get to any real-life PTN because I live in the Northeast so this would be a better way to have fun trading!

This sounds so fun, especially appealing to me as I've never been to a PTN since I live no where near the parks, and I'm sure others are in the same situation. Personally, I would enjoy a video chat to have a more personal experience with the other traders, so maybe a thread and a video chat? Trades could be set up through whatever means each trader prefers, be it thread or video. Unfortunately the chat room doesn't work on my phone/computer though so I wouldn't be able to participate if it was done that way.

And hey just another crazy idea to toss in there, but I remember reading a thread about resurrecting the DPF Youtube account... if any DPFers would be able to record video-communicated trades those could be posted on there. Just a thought.
 

The Youtube channel is still in the making. lol Great ideas!
