Disney's Pin Traders, Downtown Disney ® District
Fly 'n' Buy in Disney California Adventure® park

Wristband Guidelines:
Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers the opportunity to purchase the Piece of Disney Movie History limited edition pin. Wristbands for pins will be distributed behind Rainforest Cafe® / in front of ESPN Zone® beginning at 7am, while supplies last. At 8am wristband distribution will move to Disney Pin Traders, while supplies last. We kindly ask that Guests do not queue up behind Rainforest Cafe® until 6am. Limit One Wristband per Guest.

In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line. At time of wristband distribution, we ask that you please select a location to purchase the pin: Little Green Men Store Command, Fly n' Buy or Disney's Pin Traders.

Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise locations until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Pin limits will apply. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. Subject to change without notice.

Note: Because the frames are cut from a film print, each pin will be slightly unique.

That's kind of weird ..
I thought I wasnt going to be able to get the new Oswald filling up station because didn't get s wristband but I went to DT Disney and they had a ton?
So should I show up that early to get this one?

Here's hoping that the wristbanded people are civil and don't start running towards each destination, making the initial place in line a moot point. I know it's a lot for which to be hopeful, but I can still dream that Disney dream. :)

Also hoping that all CMs are on the same page and will not sell to pins to non-wristbanded guests. Otherwise, there will be an inevitable shortage and some wristbanded guests have the possibility of not getting pins.

There's a lot of potential for some ugliness and it's pretty much up to pin traders to try and remain civil and polite.

Stafe safe, people. :)

wow... none in dtd. theme park admission required? Thats gonna suck for those with blackouts or no AP.....

Last paragraph is basically the Terms and Conditions portion of the announcement. It's covering that you will need paid admission to enter the Parks for purchase of pins.

Such is the litigious world we live in. :p

With wristbands, I am guessing the CM's at each location will be coached on who gets pins and who does not. I don't forsee people with wrist bands running to get in line, because they are garenteed their 2 pins, I foresee folks going to get in line right after recieving their wristbands so that they get the best scene picks. Not an issue really since 2 of the 3 locations are inside the park, which is not open at 7am.

Wrist bands will reduce the maddness not increase it I think. I am just confused by the whole "theme park admission required" thing.

The oswald filling up station? what are you talking about? I got lost there. The wrist bands are only for the steamboat willie podm, nothing else that might be released thursday.

I wont be able to arrive at DLR until around 8:30am. so chances are, no wristband. but I have 2 kids, so hanging out until 1pm and trying to get one with no wrist band is a hit or miss. We shall see....

With or without wristbands, people are going to want to be first, by hook or by crook, to get the pick of the litter. I stand by my prediction of some people finding it necessary to run to the next destination, after getting their wristband. It's an unfortunate prediction, but one that is easy to make, given past behavioral observation ;)

Oswald's Filling Station was in reference to last week's Gear Up For Adventure release, which was also wristbanded and had pins available after the 1:00pm second chance lineup.

I'd love to know how their going to regulate this part: "At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release."
I get how they (castmembers) can scan our passes and see we have purchased them but if were handing them cash how would they regulate it?

My guess is there won't be many leftovers, they are handing out the exact number of wristbands for each location. The only way I think is if people buy 1 and not both or a random medical emergency. The standby line for sure will start at each location as soon as the park opens, or earlier for DTD once wristbands run out. The CM's are going to let the standby line know once the pins sell out, and perhaps even how many are left after say, 10am or 12pm etc. I think there will be more pins at DTD since an AP is not required to get there. LGM will have 2nd most, and Fly N Buy will have less. They had to do one in each park in case people are using 1-day non-hopper tickets for the day. DLR will only get around 800. Which is idiotic since their releases seem so much busier. Limiting people to 2 by not allowing them to run from location to location is a good start for a fairer release. Now lets get it split 50/50 with WDW/DLR. (Online customer service said they 100% for sure do not get an allotment for phone orders. They only get what is left over after 30 days.)
At the gear up release, they said you will get to look at 5 pins only, no more. They want you in and out and you get what you get. No more taking forever, inspecting 20 or 30 pins holding them to the light and asking for more and more pins to chose from. They said you get 5 pins to start, you pick your 2 and you pay. The CM will not bring out more.

Any updates on what's occurring, if anyone is camping out? If the structure is opening earlier? Anything? I'd greatly appreciate any information.

I would think there will be leftovers. Considering we can only by 2 now, there will be some left.

and with line up at 6am. I think you cannot park in DTD overnight either.

Don't try to camp out folks... it just is not worth it. You get there a little before 6 sao you can be at the line up location on time, you should be getting a wrist band.

Considering the fact that they're only showing each guest 5, I think there will be an equal chance to possibly get good pictures. I don't see a reason then to rush to be first at each location to get the best scenes.

I dont know... But that's what I was told by a friend. They would of already been kicked out.

Seriously. If there are already 20+people in line then Disney made a huge mistake and made things alot worse than they already were.
