Just need Ralph for the BF but not even worrying about it cause it's not gonna be hard to get. Don't need anything else.... I wish they added SOMETHING to the pirate fairy marquee. Some sort of picture.... Why is it so plain?!?!? All the others at least had tink on it. :/

Yes, Hollywood Blvd is completely closed, and the street behind the store is completely closed. And with the rain, expect a longer-than-normal drive time... There was a line of 10ish people in the store when I left about 8 minutes ago... A lot of people just being one set of Jessicas, so those may last a while. Most people seemed to be getting two marquees though.

Well she is popular but I don't think the release has as much to do with popularity as the fact that shes an iconic character of DSF. Just cause it's changed to GSF doesn't change studio store as much in that they have throughout the years always used a base of iconic characters for their mhhhmmmm how do I phrase it.... " In between" releases. So I mean the non themed major releases have normally always used jessica, tink, and stitch. Plus the fab five. That's what DSF releases use to be like before the whole mayhem started of camp outs and 4 hour lines for PTDs...

Plus now that I come to think of it, I don't think I remember a year where DSF hasn't released at least one oscar pin tying in jessica rabbit. She is disneys "movie star".

Yeah, while I would have much preferred if they did Elsa (that way in case she wins Best Song, which I think we're all sure she will) the pin would have been perfect, or at least use different characters (Jessica for Actress, Elsa for Song, ??? for Director, Edna Moda for Costume Designer) that would have been cool as well. She's pretty much the character of GSF since it's in Hollywood and she is, as you said, pretty much the closest thing Disney has to their own movie star with the Disney-universe.

I like the new pins that are coming out, the only one I need is Ralph but that will go for chump change. If the Vanellope Sweets pin is only doing $30 and she's bigger than Ralph, I don't think he'd go above $25...

I'm actually surprised they didn't think of this... They just did a whole year of Jessica calendars, this whole set didn't need to be her... Last year it was different characters holding versions of the Oscar statue (Jess was only one of them)...

Jess for Actress, and Elsa for song makes total sense, even if they didn't know if she was nominated 3 months ago, it still would have been cool...

Edna would have been hilarious as Costume Designer... Seems like they definitely could have had some more character variety with these.

I agree nothing exciting for me as well, and with the Friday 6:00 am time, that means wristbands will be handed out around 5:00 am - that is so early!

I agree - it isn't so much that they are Jessica - I have no problem with that, but it looks like they didn't put much creativity, time, or effort into the designs. They look kind of like a one-note to me!?! I would have preferred a variety of characters too - I love your ideas kupo1121 : ). I have a hard time believing this is the best they could do - this is Disney after all - some of the most creative mind on Earth ; )!

Just left there's plenty of Jessica in all categories and marquee box is 1/2 full. Bring an umbrella when it rains it pours. . The main entrance of Dolby theatre is now closed to public foot traffic, to exit garage need to go to the 2nd floor and exit through the courtyard and stairway to Hollywood Blvd.. Ghirardelli closes at 10pm tonight, the PTD is still OWL. The Oscar statues are out in the main walk way where the red carpet leads to the theatre, lots of men in tux/suits. looks like rehearsal time. Just a reminder, Ghirardelli, El Cap, Hollywood/Highland all CLOSED tomorrow. Hope this helps : )
