I recently finished up shipping some pins for a trade auction; one of which was the Snow White Booster pins that just came out. My lanyards hang close by. The one that has been on my lanyard for a few weeks has faded something fierce to a light orange! I don't know if it's the awesome California heat/sun or what! I still feel like pins just shouldn't do that either way. For sure both pins are real, as I purchased them at LGM store at Disneyland!

Any pin, or other object, that has pigments in it will fade when subjected to direct sunlight. The UV radiation in the light destroys the pigments, and is the direct cause of the fading.

I just got one of these, and parts of it are a bit orange. Not as severe as yours, but she is in a book now.

I couldn't have worn it more than 4-5 times either. I like the orange one, too! Still--I wonder what the Jasmine and Rapunzel will look like soon....

Can someone give me an example of what a pigment is? I can see it on the pin but I'm not 100% sure what type of texture that is on the pin. I just don't want to bring any pins that I have that have that on them outside
