i thought i would write this to let anyone know that my pin trading days are now over.it's sad for me to write this but this year i have continually been let down with pin trades and pin problems, most of which were limited editions .it has now amounted to a lot of pins that i haven't received.the post office have no interest at all.i'm just ending up throwing money away and i feel very disheartened now. i feel that there is no place for me in the pin trading world anymore. i have thought long and hard about this and this is the decision i must make,i feel so sad and let down. i am keeping my collection but i will no longer be trading anything,i do not know what i will do with all the pins on my trade list yet.it is a shame that it had to come to this but i have been so severely let down that i've had no option and i've been forced into this decision . i used to enjoy collecting and trading pins so much but it's just too much bother and disappointment now.i will no longer be participating in anything on this forum except for messaging.
thank you to all who have traded with me and been nice to me.
from Sabrina.

Have you made sure to leave negative feedback? I know I have had to start because "missing pins" are just too common all of a sudden!

It is the sellers and traders responsibility to ensure the package arrives at its destination safely.

This may mean insuring and sending a confirmation number. It may be an added expense but it is necessary.

If I'm trading with someone and they don't receive my pins, it is my problem, not theirs. I have to either return their money or their pin or ask if I can send a better pin in its place.

If a pin does not arrive as promised, it is not your fault, the sender must make it right!!!!!

exactamundo!!!!

I know we have traded without problems even across the pond, I do hope you will reconsider your leaving a pasttime that brought you such enjoyment , but also do understand that sometimes we MAY all reach a point that we want to move on.

give it one more nite of thought!!

:0( I totally understand how frustrating it can be. But Vicki has a good point. Maybe there is more going on that just "lost" pins. Something to think about. You can always PM me if you need a sounding board to run stuff by...
The other thing to consider is maybe taking a break and come back later :0)

I am so sorry to hear about this, Sabrina. You were one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever traded with.

I can completely understand why you would be fed up with trading based on your experiences, and it is upsetting that so many people have not followed through with their end of the bargain.

I would also encourage you to leave negative feedback for those people that did not send you pins that you were promised. I had a bad experience with a trader on this board, they never sent my pin and never responded to my messages for almost a month, and the day I left negative feedback they contacted me and tried to resolve the situation. I know it shouldn't have to come to that, but sometimes its the only thing that will work.

I do hope you reconsider, but if you don't I hope you continue to do things that bring you happiness.

I'm so sorry to hear this as well. Maybe you can just take a slight break? I know how tough and disheartening pin trading can be sometimes with all the many factors there are. It would be a shame to lose a member such as yourself.

PM sent....hoping that you don't leave pin trading entirely....you will be missed by so many people. Just hope that you take a break and then come back soon.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you ve had trouble with trading its a shame
When I have a few things go wrong I tend to just have a small break it makes it better
Anyway hope it gets better

Something is REALLY wrong with Pin Trading!! To many "Old School" traders are leaving and not coming back. Sabrina was a great trader and she's only one of dozens who have given up. What exactly the problem is, it seems we can't put a finger on it. But, definatly something is wrong!!!

Awe honey, this stinks. Do what you want, we will be here.....i also have 14 pins "out" some getting rather old now. If you decide to trade again, pick me, i wont let you down:salute:

Hey Sabrina, as a fellow UK trader I have the greatest respect for what you are doing, trading across the pond can sometimes be timely & just the other day I got hit with a £14 customs charge (£8 of which was Royal Mail fees!!) & I'll admit that we do feel a little isolated from our US cousins & trading within the UK is relatively limited.

Don't throw the towel in just yet, some trades do go sour, perhaps I am lucky because in the 7 or 8 years I have traded etc I can only remember one package going astray & that was from me to the US! If it is a bad trader then leave negative feedback it's your right, if it is down to the mailing system then insurance/claims can be made, yes it's a pain in the *** but at least you'll be reimbursed & a pin or so down. Whatever you decide then just remember what a great trader you have been - 100% feedback, singing praises etc!!!, there are pitfalls with any pastime, please don't be a victim of other people's inabilities - stand up & fight as a UK Pin Trader!!!

Sabrina, sometimes we all need a break from the aggravation of pin trading. I myself have taken off many months of posting and trading and it really helped me see that I do have a life without pins and that I should only do this for fun. It gave trading and buying a whole new meaning and I feel much better. I will still trade, buy, and/or sell pins, but I'm much more selective about it. Makes my pin life fun again. And if I get back into a rut - well, another break may be all I need. So sleep on it, go on a trip, clean out the closet, but don't give up. That's the easy way out and at some point you will regret it.

Aww, I'm sorry you're so frustrated. For what it's worth, I think you're a great trader and I enjoyed trading with you. Maybe taking a break is a good idea, the post office has been wonky lately, but remember that at any time you want to return you will be welcome back with enthusiasm. ^_^

I agree with everyone else!! Taking a break is a great idea when you are feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I have not traded with you personally but from what all the other great pin traders on here are saying you seem to be a wonderful person and an even greater pin trader.

Man!!!! If this cute face can't keep you here, than nothing can!!!!

Please note, that I would love to trade with you and anyone else oversea's! I love doing it, and I make sure everyone received their pins and are happy!!!!

Vicki

Don't let few meanies take your joy away.

Aww, I am so sorry you have had some bad trading experiences. I know that is enough to frustrate anyone. I hope some of your missing pins will show up. I hate for anyone to just be out pins like that!

As others said maybe after a little pin trading break the bug will bite you again! I hope things work out well for you and you hang around!

I'm sorry to read about the bad experiences you have had. I don't blame you for wanting to leave, but maybe you can just take a break. How about just sticking with trades with friends and those you have had multiple good experiences with until you are ready to get back out there? There are still good trades to be made.

Hi, Sabrina;

I hope you will change your mind. Everybody here thinks highly of you as a person and a fellow trader. Don't let the crusties win!

Sorry to hear Sabrina your going.
i never traded with you, had a couple of near trades though
hopefully one day you will pop back into it

It just sounds like you've been incredibly unlucky hun. I've been trading online for about two and a half years now, and only once has a pin not showed up. I do hope you change your mind! It sounds like you've made a very positive impression on a lot of people, so it would be a shame for you to give up on trading.
