I'm not a huge Frozen fan, but I like how people are saying Frozen had no competition this year when Tangled was not even nominated its year. And, there were two nominations in Best Animated Film that went unfilled its year.

I was deathly sick in the hospital. I completely forgot about the Oscar's and I no idea that a
Frozen took the best animated movie award or the best song.
My son said, that Kierstyn called and said Daddy, Let To Go, Elsa won. I cracked up, she's a little sneaker. LOL

Don't leave out these GIFs!

Honestly, it's kind of weird. I'm more happy for Kristen and Bobby getting their EGOT than I am for the film itself. And I feel totally bad for Adele Dazeem, um, I mean, Idina. It was not her best performance, and you could tell she knew it. I just wanted to run up and hug her afterwards.

Plus Frozen had no competition this year, hell I could have made an animated film of me running around in my boxers and it would have been a better movie than the Croods.

This made me laugh! Haven't seen Croods because my kids didn't even want to. My Mother-in-law offered to take my boys to see it when it was in theaters and they were like, "no, thanks." Glad to know we didn't miss anything.

I actually like The Croods, apart from the annoying personality of the main character. But nominating it for an Oscar really shows that there was nothing else.

I lost all faith in the Oscars when they picked Brave over Wreck-It Ralph. Brave visually was ok, but the story was lacking and botched and jumped around. WiR had it all and I think WiR's sustaining popularity and Brave's steady decline has made proof of that.

I lost faith in the Oscars years ago, I only watch the ceremony if the host is good or if I really want to see who wins. But generally, I don't care about them much and I just read who the winners are the day after. I only watched the ceremony this year because I love Ellen and I was rooting for a couple of nominees (like Leo, Pharrell, Jared, and The Wind Rises). Last year was a disaster imo, partially because of the host. But all their own taste.

I still think they should bring a bigger variety in their voters, especially in terms of age and profession. You can really tell it has an influence in the winners and that's a shame.

I like how they are treating the OE snowflake pin at disneyland now. They have it behind the counter and on display in the glass case with the LE pins at the emporium.

It gets special treatment now.

Um. I know this is. Bit off topic. Buuuuut does anyone actually have these two pins for sale? I've decided I want them both

The problem is that politics are involved in everything and last year that was that whole video game ordeal due to that unfortunate school accident where video games were being blamed as the only reason for kid's violence (which in numerous studies have shown that there is inconclusive evidence both supporting and non supporting that theory, so the media cannot guarantee that is the reason). For that reason WiR was fighting a losing battle since I doubt parents would have taken well to a movie about how video games are great winning the Best Animated Film award If that competition was this year (Brave vs. WiR), I bet WiR would have won <_< Sad but true...

I really think WiR lost because of a Pixar bias more than any "video games are evil" school of thought. also, the "video games cause violence" isnt new at all and has been going around for years, so I dont think it ruined WiR's chance at an Oscar at all.
