I saw the thread about the worst trades people have made and it made me wonder about the best trades people have made. Mine was when I traded Catburger the Meet the Robinsons, Bolt and the most recent NBC marquee for the Tangled marquee.

I traded merryweather for something I couldn't even tell you what it was but I remember LOVING the pin or pins, but I felt it was uneven so I sent her a little something extra, its still my best trade ever =) I think we were both equally happy and aren't those always the best trades?
 
I haven't been trading for very long, so I don't own any really impressive pins like the rest of you, but...

On the last PTN at Disneyland (my first ever), I traded this pin:



For this one:



At the time that I traded, I had no idea of the value of either pin... I just knew I loved the Lost Boys, and adored the look of the pin in general. When I got home and looked up the two pins online, I was shocked to discover that the Peter Pan's Flight pin I traded is almost worthless ($-wise), whereas the Lost Boys pin sells for about $40 on eBay!

I traded someone(i think it was NOT who i said before! lol... can't believe i can't remember who it was) my ariel seasons pin for the 2008 valentines ariel and eric pin ooh! Or, the 4 WDCC princess/prince pins for the ariel eric DA le 500 heart pin. hehe. this are my favorite pins!

Oh! mine was when i got my cast member Home on the Range pin! A lady was wearing it and...well...it was the first time I had ever asked for someone to trade with me and I was so scared that i ran away from her after asking D:

I came back later and traded a DSF Stitch pin and a few toy story rack pins for it!
 
Buying a pin that was, for me, not that expensive, but was for someone else a grail, so that I could trade it to them.

I traded Pin 24437: DLR Cast Exclusive - Lion King DVD Release (Scar, Banzai & Ed) GWP off a Cast Member's lanyard IN THE UK, which was rather exciting. It was at the UK's only official pin event. I had no idea it was such a HTF pin, I just saw that it was Scar and I wanted it!

It was a great trade and lord knows I got the better end of the deal but the person was really nice and traded any ways. The only LE 2 pin I will ever own no doubt and it was all thanks to a wonderful UK trader that was willing to work out a trade for my dream pin.
 
My best trade ever, was just this last week, when our very own docfish2u traded me his ariel beloved tales pin, I still can't believe is true. It is my favorite pin vpever, it only because it was a major grail of mine, but because he was so generous, kind and giving with that trade.
im still trying to come up with an idea of how to bless him back!
 
I thought of another! I traded Pin 69512: DLRP - Pin Trading Night - Wilbur & Lewis for one of my top Grails at the time, which was Pin 66022: DisneyShopping.com - Jumbo Halloween Series Jessica as The Queen of Hearts Pin ! I was actually at that Pin Trading Night, and I just wanted rid of the Meet the Robinsons pins ASAP because I thought the pin was horrible! So to have been able to trade it for one of my top Grails was fantastic!



I should add though, I have since seen Meet the Robinsons and it's actually a beautiful and charming film. Had I seen it before that PTN, I wouldn't have been so eager to trade that pin, so it's funny how things work out!
 
The "best" trade we ever made was when we first started trading. We had no idea about values at all, and just went off of "we like it so we want it." We didn't even know about pinpics yet! Anyways we were at Disneyland and walked by the tables and a very nice man let us look at his pins. He has some Stitch pins that we thought were "cute" and asked to trade.

Later that day we were actually SAD about getting rid of the Chip & Dale Duelers pin, and almost regretted the trade! It wasn't till almost 6 months later that we learned about pinpics and the value of this pin!
