What does everyone think about the value of the Designer Villain Pins?
Thank you! Great comment!

Very well said and you hit the nail on the end. The ranting and complaining and attitudes will do more harm than good. AND YOU ARE RIGHT... Instead of the people complaining and expecting Disney to revolve their business practices around them and stating for Disney to get with the program is backwards.... These people should be GETTING WITH DISNEY's Program.

I agree as a elite Pin Trader I love showing off Hard to Find Pins. It might sound sick but I actually get a thrill when a low level pin trader begs for one of my hard to find Pins and I sort of get off on the upset look on their face :yum: while I smile on the inside. We as Leaders in the Pin Trading Community will always get complaints when we are easily able to drop 150 like nothing for something like a Designer Villains set, its all out of jealousy because they are broke.

Probably the sickest thing We've read on the forum since we've joined. its a shame

"We as Leaders in the Pin Trading Community" hahaha..hilariousness.

Those who have the ability to get HTF pins don't flaunt and rub it into others faces. Its actually pathetic.

We have the means/contacts/money to get pins we want..but we dont go around and "get off" on seeing people oogle over our pins. Absolutely disgusting way to look at our this hobby.

I would respectfully ask a MOD to look into the 2 new members who decided to start off on the forum by causing conflict and argument on a thread that had somewhat died down.

All the best

You're cool bro.

On topic though.

I absolutly love the Villains pins. Cruella especially. But even with that, I know I can wait a year or two to get it at a decent price. All this bikering and arguing just seems so out of hand...if you wait the prices will go down and everyone will be happy...just think of it as a delayed release!

THANK YOU! I agree! It is absolutely normal to want to show off and display and be proud of something rare and sought after. I get a thrill tooo! If all these pins were easy to get and anyone could just get them at any time...there would be no point and it wouldn't be fun and why even bother with the hobby.

theres a difference between "showing off" as stated above and...
"getting a thrill" or "getting off on the upset looks" as stated below.

First, as a "newbie" to DPF, perhaps you do not understand that the attitude you display withthis and some other comments are highly inflamatory, and inappropriate. I truely do hope that your comments here, and some others I have seen were ment to be sarcasm or jokes. It is perfectly fine to want to show off your hard won/earned/traded LEs. But you worded your comment to deliberatly upset others.

"We as leaders".... I do not feel that you are a leader in the pin trade community if your comments are true to your opinions in this case.

I think i found a place where we can print out cards and have our "level" of pin trading-ness engraved on them. like "newbies" , "juniors" , "average" , and of course "ELITE" HAHAHAHA.

seriously, funniest thing EVER. Do we vote on our "leaders" democratically? or is there like a booth we go to?

I don't mean to offend. it just shocked me at all the comments and was very surprised at how many people thought Disney was conspiring and that many people thought that Disney should get with the program...the program is theirs and everyone should get with their program don't you think? it is very surprising to me to see the emotional responses of those who didn't get a set and it seems to be very hazardous to emotional health and harms others. To me calling Disney and asking them to change the way they do business is backwards and over the top. It's like calling the government and complaining about the stop of the release of new presidential coins because we are collecting them? It is disappointing but to get really upset about it doesn't do much good. Dismey is not quite the government though. :)

Yah, that is very cool that I can see by your name that it says pin dolphin rescuing newbie! I appreciate your assistance! This is a new environment and it was shocking to see some of the comments and thoughts. :). All is good and well intended. But I must say, it does appear that pin collecting can be hazardous to some people's emotional health. It is very hard not to see it as its in writing and really surprised me and caught me off guard.

^ agreed, +1, *nods*, I second this... and all that jazz ^.^

I would suggest everyone ignore these particular "new" members as I'm sure the mods will be looking into this soon If not already.

Please I'm not starting drama , I just wanted to say that I find it amusing that the Designer Villian dolls are one per person . The dolls are LE 13,000 . Shouldn't it had been the other way around . The pins were LE 200 .
I went to our local DS and had too put my name in a black cauldron . It's the luck of the draw .
Now I can't complain as I'm paying along with others, big $$$ for a set that I'm co oping . But I'm willing to pay $$$ for Gothel before she goes even higher .
That's all I wanted to add . I don't need to be made to feel like crap for this post . Just found it amusing, is all .

Well I can honestly say that I'm not deliberately trying to antagonize. My posts were more of posts that didn't like to see the upset people and their reaction of those that didn't get the set rather than delighting in seeing the posts. In my view they were offensive to me for some reason and it looked like they were deliberately attacking others as for some reason I found them offensive. However I do feel bad that one of my post triggered a response of someone who actually delights in seeing an upset and envious face. I simply love to put my pins on display because I like to look at them and wear them to events and Disneyland because they are beautiful and hard to get! This hobby takes work! And sometimes can get expensive and sometimes we get lucky! Believe me, I understand it's upsetting as I didn't get a set at cost, but I was so happy I could grab a set on eBay because that's the only way I could get them! And that's just an honest statement. I do know some people who can't find a job and the economy is bad and have found a way to survive and eat in CA by buying and selling the pins.

I am so sorry if I caused a problem for you. I really thought it was a good comment. It makes sense to me that we need to get with the way Disney does things rather than the the way around. Im just trying to give Dsiney some support. I don't think you were starting any drama and I didn't mean to make it look that way or create any myself. I just need to learn and quietly observe and just Rome down my wording.

It's cool, I truly understand how bad the economy is and it really is not my business what others do with their extra sets . I was at WDW sound asleep in my comfy resort bed when these beauties got released . I'm over it . I just know if Disney ever does Designer Princes, I will have my butt glued to the computer at 2:45 AM . We learn from our mistakes .

Not to anyone directly, just in a general sense:

Those who are complaining about pins having gone so high have every right to be upset.
Will it change anything? No.

Same with those who it doesn't bother at all.

Everyone is entitled to feel the way they wish. If they complain to Disney or make suggestions, so what?

Snapping or put someone down for having an opinion, regardless of what it may be is hypocritical as you're saying your opinion is the only opinion that is right.

Sure Disney could have limited it to 1 per person, but they didn't. Oh well. We've all gotten over it but if some haven't, leave them alone. I honestly find it rude that many have been so negative to Tinker.

True everyone is entitled to their own opinion and they can feel against Tinker's own opinions, but to directly put her down isn't an opinion, it's an attack. Which is tasteless and rude.

Eventually the pins will go down in price and if they don't, that's what trades are for. One day they'll be obtainable and nothing is impossible, you DON'T need money to get the pin of your dreams, it just helps you get it faster.

Pin Trading is supposed to be fun, not a cut throat sport.

WoW, Thank You Nekov . I have never had anyone stand up for me . Hugs
And let me be the first one to say, even if they had limited them, I'd had still been asleep .
