Oh right, the Snow Queen aka Frozen is a sure bet. I am really excited about that. Actually I could be wrong, but I believe every year there has been at least 3 movies related to the 17 inch limited dolls. Counting Jessie from Toy Story 3 in the mix. They could do even more than that. Retail is not doing well generally so this is getting people excited and paying attention to their merchandise.
 
I'm the same way I really hope that Ariel has legs with her doll I think it could be wonderful!

if they were to do tinkerbell, the question wold be how tall would she be... wings and all of those things, I just keep picturing it what with the new movie coming out and everything else it would be a beautiful doll if they ever did it..

oh and a wendy and peter pan set would be great! (even how they are doing merida and her mom)

I kind of have a feeling we'll see a LE Ariel with legs. I am kinda hoping for something with her tail, but a doll with legs seems more practical, lol. Anyone think we'll get a LE villain doll with the release of TLM? Maybe Ursula as Vanessa would be nice.

It is also possible that Disney may do a double-doll release for Ariel (one with legs/dress and the other with mermaid tail). I could totally see that as a possibility, what with the two LE Rapunzel and the two LE Merida doll releases. Between the two Ariel forms, I would think that the mermaid form would be more numerous (higher LE number), after all, the film is called The Little Mermaid. This is all speculation, of course, but I don't see why Disney wouldn't cash in on Ariel, who has always been one of the top favorite Disney princesses since the film's release.

If they do make a LE Ursula, I would hope that they would make her true-to-scale size, but the box for that would have to be HUGE! Designer Ursula can get away with being slender under the understanding that the Designer dolls are "inspired" by the villains and not meant to be literal versions of them. And then the possibility of an LE Vanessa... certainly enough people are asking about one, so maybe Disney will make one! I would think that a Vanessa doll would be a very limited LE size, though.

That'd be great! Of course then I'd have to get money to buy them all since TLM is my favorite movie... :) I'd love a mermaid version, a kiss the girl version or a finale/transformation dress version of Ariel. I'd be up at midnight for a Vanessa LE. That'd be fantastic!
 
I am excited to either see a Jasmine or Ariel LE doll, but I am HOPING they will not be as influenced by their "new looks" as Cinderella was. Keep their original essence and style and they'll remain timeless. Don't get me wrong, I love my Cindy, but if they do the loose hair thing and outfit change with Jasmine I doubt I'll be a fan.
I hope they make a Vanessa!!! and Wendy would be cute too.
 
Hi Guys - i actually managed to get a LE Lady Tremaine on Tuesday and i was wondering if anyone wanted to Trade this doll for a LE Alice ..

Anyone else have issues with Cinderella shipping? First off the morning the doll was supposed to be delivered to my doorstep UPS sends me an email saying there is a delay due to "Late Train" When she did arrive, day after original due date, there was no usual Disney Store.com box, it was just the plain brown one the dolls are sent their distribution center in. Secondly it had all these dents digging into it, and of course when I took it out - the plastic dust cover was creased. Kinda bummed, but it's not Disney's fault. All the fault lies with UPS.

The 17"/18" LE dolls always are shipped from the DS warehouse in the factory shipper boxes to us. Typically, these boxes are thick enough to protect the contents, plus the snug fit in the box also usually prevents scratches and damages during shipping. My LE Cinderella doll's shipper box was in perfect condition, but the actual white doll box shows damage on one side of the box that had to have happened at the factory prior to it being packed in the shipper box. :( So in my case, it was an issue that happened on Disney's end, not UPS.
 
I doubt the release of a LE Vanessa, even though it would be cool. Many people don't even know her name, let alone remember that she was even a part of the film. I predict Ariel in her pink, poofy sleeved dress, and an Ursula. But those are just my speculations!

For Jasmine, I am really hoping for the purple dress she wears at the VERY end of the movie, where Aladdin and her are singing the "Whole New World" reprise and flying into the moonlight :) But I'm sure she won't be in it. I just think that if Ariel were in pink, and Jasmine in purple, that would help to tone down the over-abundance of blues we would have otherwise. xD
 
I hope Shivatopia's idea that there will be 2 Ariel dolls, one mermaid and one in a gown will be true. TLM movie will be released 3D in theaters and then Diamond DVD, so that would be a nice way to go with a two doll release, and a surprise Ursula. I would love to see her as a mermaid with a realistic seashell top and micro sequin fin, done right I think it would be really beautiful and not too much bling. It still could be a fully posable doll underneath and not look bulky, like the singing doll. I think DS will go with the pink gown, which is the most recognizable, but I love Ariel's seafoam green dress that she wears at the parks. I also hope if they go with Ursula, she looks more like the movie character, the designer one is fine for a fun re-imagination but personally I would not want a 17 inch doll like that.

I am still wondering if there will be another surprise this year, I suppose this is their most profitable quarter with holiday buying so they probably don't need to bother.
 
I'm thinking they may put Ariel in a dress, if they didn't I'm kind of wondering how she would fit into the box, surely she wouldn't be standing with a fin right?
 
I really want a mermaid Ariel. Ariel is the reason im so obsessed with mermaids and honestly it would be strange to just get a human Ariel when she's really a mermaid lol. Her tail is obviously the most recognizable and like the Special Edition doll they sold when the Platinum Edition came out her tail and shell top could look beautiful all styled up!

I think a Pink Dress, Wedding Dress or Park Dress should also be released but a mermaid should come first!
 
I am really hoping for Ariel as a mermaid. The dress version would be nice too but I think the mermaid form would be gorgeous esp. if her tail is all done in sequins….they really could make her beautiful!

The Little Mermaid will be released in Fall 2013, so almost a year from now we should see a LE Ariel doll. When I checked months ago Aladdin was set for Spring of 2012, but now I read it got pushed back a year, Spring 2014, and Peter Pan took its place for 2012. Not sure if things have changed, or what we'll see in the Spring of next year. I think a LE Tinkerbell doll would be adorable, but it would be crazy to have her as a 17" doll, considering her classic doll is 10" compared to the 12" the princesses are.

It's Peter Pan's 60th Anniversary so it makes more sense to have it next year then Aladdin the year after. I reckon we may see Peter and Wendy, plus Tink as dolls.
 
Awww, I'm sad Aladdin got pushed back :( I love Peter Pan, though! :) TBH I'd want a Wendy/Peter doll set, or a Tiger Lily doll!!! ^_^ Tink would be fine, but I'd feel weird having her as a 17inch when she's next to all the 'human size' dolls LOL :lol:
 
I was thinking more Tink in scale to Peter, so she'd be small like an accessory with him :hsd:
Aladdin will follow The Little Mermaid a year after, just checked it's official.
 
I Cannot Wait For The Little Mermaid To Be Released :D i Am Really Looking Forward too seeing and Purchasing all the Merchandise the disney store and other stores will release :D i better start saving up :)
 
I'm definitely up for the whatever 17in dolls are released for the Little Mermaid. I would love to see a regular Ariel in a pink or aqua dress, plus Surprise releases of Wedding Ariel and Ursula :D ! It looks like 2013 will be Ariel's year. Hopefully in 2014 we see Mulan, Pocahontas and Aurora's time to shine!
