Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information

Cinderella is sold out in France. I'm suprised, ususally the Le doll last longer In France before being sold out
 
Hi everyone…..I was picking up my last Villian doll today and while I was waiting I found out some interesting info……apparently there will be a limited edition doll for Wreck It Ralph….Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun. Has anyone heard anything about this? Obviously it's not a princess doll but was told box will be different (although Buzz & Woody's box wasn't that different) and that's it. The more questions I asked the less he seemed to want to tell me. I have no idea about a release date but I would assume soon …..all he said was it was limited edition, he seen a picture of it already (supposedly) but he didn't know what stores were getting them ….only a few are supposed too….and to keep checking back. Has anyone else heard anything about it??

When I first the pic of the doll at first I thought it was a custom-made doll using 17" Mother Gothel, then I realized it's the new 17" of Sergeant Calhoun. Maybe it's just the low-resolution photo, but she kinda looks like Mother Gothel with those eyes, mouth, and the cheek bones. She is the lead character in the "Hero's Duty" game in the upcoming movie Wreck it Ralph. I wonder if it's based on the video game 'Call of Duty'. I read that her character was originally supposed to be a man, but they thought it would be boring and changed to a woman. Here is a link I found about her, and a hi-res photo.

Yeah I know her part in that respect, but from the commercials it seems like only a small portion of the film. I wonder if she jumps games with Ralph or something. She must have some sort of great character change, or she acts tough and is really soft, or something. I'm not sure, but she must be lovable for them to make this! I think they captured her smirk perfectly, though I wish her hair was more accurate.
 
I have NO idea who she is, but she looks awesome!!! I may have to break my "do not buy any merchandise until after I see the movie/play the game" rule. On a side note, I wonder if this means no princess LE doll in the spring???...darn...

OMG! It is true!! Hahaha….after I posted …I thought to myself I hope that weren't joking with me!!! I really like her I wonder what her edition size will be and release info……I hope I have a shot to get her…..Thanks for finding that!!! I really excited for her….I want her!

As for a LE doll in spring, when I inquired about that …..they told me that they only usually do that for princesses (well obviously that doesn't always apply!!) So we'll see!!

Oh, man, I just died!!!!

I don't know why I'm so in love with a movie that isn't out for another couple weeks, but I'm so happy they're making a LE Sergeant Calhoun doll. It makes me feel better about missing out on the Merida / Elinor 2 pack.

That outfit, that gun, yes, yes, yesssss! :D
 
I was told from my Disney store it's a le 17" doll comes out when movie hits the theater November 2..I ask about pre order. She did not know.

I'm pretty excited for this doll, I think the movie looks great and my boyfriend has been excited and waiting to see it for months!
 
I absolutely LOVE this doll. Completely unexpected but I guess I had forgotten there was a "normal" human woman in Wreck-It Ralph since she isn't featured very much in the trailers, just given a couple of one liners. But her outfit is AMAZING, her accessory kicks butt and she's SO different from every other doll they'll ever make that I NEED her. Plus I adore Jane Lynch and the character, and by extension doll, kind of looks like her!

Now I just have to cross my fingers that she'll be an edition size HIGHER than 1,500 since that seemed to be my store's cut off for getting LE dolls. They were given 10 Merida/Elinor pre-orders, which I don't think have even sold out yet but not sent a single Lady Tremaine so I had to resort to DisneyStore.com whom I hate because of their outrageous shipping charges to Canada. So HOPEFULLY they'll get some of Calhoun dolls!

I've already been in there bugging them about when the Wreck-It Ralph merch will be out on the floor! :) There's a few other things I want and they've been on the website for a few weeks already. When Brave merch was released it was online and in store same day AND it was released over a month, I think maybe even close to two, before the movie was released. But they said Ralph stuff wasn't due to be put out until the 23rd, though that date could change. I guess it's pretty small in there and they only have so much room. The villain stuff is still taking up some room and there's TONS of Cinderella stuff they have to get rid of first to make room for new merch. I know it'll be out eventually but I'm impatient! And I really, REALLY hope Calhoun has a large edition size so that they actually get her in store. I'm sure we'll find out more info about her release in the coming days!
 
I'm not sure I want the Calhoun doll. She really doesn't fit in with the rest of my dolls. Also, I could've sworn that the pre-order for the Cinderella doll started on July 30th because I was really unsure about getting her until I saw her in person and I pre-ordered her on August 1st and I got one of the last pre-orders out of 5 in store. I was also one of two people that were there for Lady Tremaine. The guy that was ahead of me has ALL of the dolls and I told him that I liked how Disney never made an official announcement about Tremaine and it was like he gave me a death glare!

In March, "Oz the Great and Powerful" is coming out in theaters. It looks really good! I'm really hoping for some dolls for this movie.

Also, I'm new here! I'll make a better introduction later. :)
